I have a 509. Good-looking gun. Installed an Apex trigger so have seen the internals. I think the price comes in for the build quality. The thoughtful design and complex mechanics on the inside justify the price. Plus, the slide is stainless steel. Shots feel light. I would say it’s a BMW or Mercedes Benz of the firearms world. 😎☕️
Dude I just found out about this gun and how do you like it?? I’m approved for 1000$ financing and saw a 509c Comp that I don’t see any reviews for it’s a limited edition SKU
The main markup for the 509 is the sights. They’re trijicon hd’s that sell for nearly $250. I personally think that was a poor choice by fn, since most won’t use them anyway.
Hypothetically if an Illinois resident possessed one of these (before threaded barrels became banned), what should they do? Unrelated; I'm kind of interested in an FN 509 compact...
I got a great deal on a 509 new from brownells on sale for like 800$ with 5 magazines and the new flat trigger and new sights the mags alone are 60$ apiece so if u take off 180 $ worth of mags and 100$ + for the trigger and 100 + for new sights that’s like getting the fn for 400$ I wouldn’t buy it with two mags and the old trigger n sights for 900$ wait until fn runs a promotion like what I got
Should get a $100 rebate too. I got a black Friday deal on an FN 509 with a Holosun optic. Black Friday deal was $599 (which is already a deal MSRP was $979) optic is valued @ $250. $100 rebate. New flat face trigger. Suppressor Height sights. Co-witness optic. So, basically I paid $250ish for an FN. Mind blown. It's a no brainer and glad I found it.
Most people pick up the 509, feel the trigger, and put it back down. I don't see any reason to recommend someone a 509 when the P10 line exists, and especially with the prices that the P10 can be found at.
@@JohnShaw26.2 Shouldn't need to put a $160 in a $1k gun to get it feeling good. Not to mention the $50 disassembly jig to help ensure you don't crack the frame.
As a FN 509 CT owner, i don't recommend this gun in 2024. In 2020, yes it was a good value. But now, i don't see why anyone would get this when there is Walthe PDP with their dynamic trigger for example.
Just got a new 509 with what I assume is the new flat face trigger. (Thats what it shows in picture) I'll have to read the description again. Reg price $979. 3:50 Black Friday Deal only. $599. Take off $100 for rebate brings it to $499. Came with a Holosun 407 optic which from what I looked up is going for $250. Suppressor Height sights. (No threaded barrel) optic Co-witness. Take all that into account and I basically got an FN for $250ish. YEAH, Mind Blown. Deal is still there just $699 instead of $599.
The trigger in the 509 is ass. Like mega ass which is why they aren't very popular and there isn't many secondary options either that are a major improvement.
My buddy's 509 trigger was horrible out of the box, legit was like 10 pounds, but after a couple hundred rounds it's actually a really nice trigger, very crisp break prolly around 4.5 pounds

Glad you’re making a comp for the 509… any chance you have one coming for the 510?
Now with rebate and price decrease $650 to $700 now until mid December. FYI
question could u explain the rebate i really dont get it lol i keep seeing it on all the fn’s
@ most $100 to 125 off apply at store check out , some depends on the store if official fn dealer . Tactical models get the $125 off
Yup just picked one up so worth it
I have the 509c Tactical, I got it two years ago & the trigger isn’t bad at all.

Your going to like the 509C, they sell a 17 rd mag with an extension that’ll fit and give the purchase of the full size 509T.

G23 & FN509 my favorite firearms😮💨🔥 never will get rid of those 2! How do I buy that comp? I don’t see it on the site🤔

Do you have an idea when your comp will be out for the 509??
Adore my 509T, I've had multiple. Expensive, but there isn't a better shooting gun compensated.
Was on the site and not seeing the comp available for the 509, when will it be available
How soon are you releasing your comp for this? My PMM comp just blew apart on my 509T yesterday during an IPSC match.
I have an FN Midsized 9mm it's a great firearm, but I have a question: Would dry shooting the trigger sometimes affect the trigger
One thing i learned about my fde 509 is that its never as dirty as u think it is so i just clean it after a few runs

Maybe I have a few P-10’s and want something else 😉.
It’s on the expensive side but FN is expensive. Toss an Apex in the 509 and you’re set.

I rented a 509t and that was the best trigger I ever felt. Comparable to a single action hammer pistol.
This gun is cool on the internet but in real life, not so much.
