I loved your demeanor during this video. Your speed and delivery are excellent. One question. Can we use the air fryer as a toaster? If so, which settings would be best. I would love to consolidate appliances.
I personally have not used it to just toast bread. I did a little looking and I see people do, but I would try it before you toss your toaster! I have saw to use the air fry setting for 6min flipping the toast at half way. One person liked to butter her toast before she toasted it and one who did it after. Haha! So it seems to be your preference. Let me know if you try it and which you prefer incase someone else is wondering the same thing!
@@cyndiskettini3202 I’d play around with it first. I use a more dense bread and it’s usually frozen. I use the air fryer setting, 2-3 mins. Check it. Answers to Questions others have had: 1. HEAT SHEILD: If you're having trouble putting the heat shield in, make sure the handle is pointed down and towards the front (not the back or sides). 2. 3rd TRAY: You don't need to buy a third tray; most of the time I only use the two it comes with. If you do occasionally find yourself wanting a third tray like me, it's much safer to buy a third than trying to use the Heat Shield as a makeshift tray. 3. E1: Trouble Code Error 1 (E1) indicates an internal issue with your Air Fryer and it will likely require replacement (should be covered by the 1-year warranty). Either contact PC or your consultant to coordinate return. For those who purchased without a consultant use my "contact me" link if you're having trouble returning. 4. SKEWERS: If you're still having trouble assembling the Skewers I made an updated video which provides more details and better close ups (don't worry, you're not alone... a couple of my friends still had issues but the new video helped): ua-cam.com/video/gIQmMTJD7ps/v-deo.html 5. I love your videos. They are very helpful. How do you recommend cleaning the trays if you do not have a dishwasher? I have tried soaking and then scrubbing, but they still get a little build up on the screen. I am afraid to mess them up by using oven cleaner :).
I love dawn power spray! I will coat them and let them sit. Then use a brush to scrub them, they will rip up a sponge or dobi pad. I like the PC dual sided brush but truthfully any type will do. Build up will not hurt anything. I consider it seasoning 😊 You could also try a baking soda paste (mix with a little water to make) cover with a warm rag and again let sit, then scrub. Add some coarse salt for extra scrub if needed. Hope that helps 😃
Have a couple questions: 1) the only way you can adjust the temperature is on custom? 2) when it is on custom, that means it is air frying? I would love to make my oatmeal bake on the bake setting & adjust the temp. but have not been able to do that. Thanks! :)
Yes the only way to adjust the temp is on custom. It is always "air frying" even when you select bake. The presets have different names but they cook the same way just with different temperatures. Hope that answers your question.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie THANK YOU so much for your reply! Your video definitely helped my to understand more about the Air Fryer. Because of your video, I decided to try my Oatmeal Bake on the bottom/black tray using parchment paper. I used the “bake” function which is set @ 350 & increased the set time of 15 min. to 20 min. It turned out great! When I bake it in my regular oven, I set it for 375 & 20 min. With the Air Fryer, there is a bit of crunch on the top of it which does not happen when using my regular oven. This may be a dumb question, but how do you open the basket when its hot? The only way I've found is to set it down on a towel so it doesn't spin and then burn my fingers on the tiny hook. Or to try to hold it with two pot holders which is near impossible and pry the door open. There has to be a better way.
Not a dumb question at all. It can be a little tricky, especially when it's hot. I usually either set it down on a hot pad/trivet and use the microwave grip to pop it open or the end of the retreival tool. If you use the retreival tool, you have to be careful not to exert too much torque. Skip forward to 3 minutes in on my Air Fryer Chex Mix video for an example. Whichever way you do it, try it while it's cold to get comfortable. ua-cam.com/video/kIts86-WJoU/v-deo.html

Maria, sorry to say it looks like the E1 error isn't a quick fix. how do you all handle that hot basket? where do you set it down and how do you open it when it's scorching? i'm just getting to learn how to use mine and the first time i ended up with breading all stuck in the basket - i guess i was meant to have it rotate? i'm sorta wishing i'd gone with one with a simple pull out basket style but hoping that with practice this one will win me over. any tips, pls feel free to answer here. thanks everyone!
I just got my new Air Fryer. I used it yesterday to roast potatoes and everything worked great. Today I tried to cook wings but I couldn’t get the fan to come on no matter what setting I tried. The wings did cook but they were not crispy at all. I wonder what could have gone wrong.
I love using the tray for cooking. I have a video where I make potatoes in it with bacon cover pork lion on the rotisserie! If you don't wish to out them directly on the tray you can out down a piece of parchment paper. I put mine right on the tray .
I watched you put the skewers on your and there nice and even and straight, mine are not what am I doing wrong ? I know you skipped but you did put all 8 on correct ? Mine are not lining up . Thank you , hope you can help me ...lol🤣I know your busy🤣
How long have you had the air fryer? I am about to purchase one at 60% off, but then I read quite a few reviews that consistently say it stops working after 1-2 years (it only has a 1 year warranty), whether it’s that it stops heating or flashes and crackles or the door is broken. I also saw a lot saying the seal on the door breaks after a short while. It’s scared me off, I don’t know what to believe!
Hi Practical Cooking with Katie I'm new to Air Fryer's; I like your in-depth instructions! I just finished watching one video with silicone parts; I don't like silicone as after awhile silicone wears after a while! I have a lot of product from pampered chef so I'm well fulmar with the product. Since I can't have a party at this time; you mentioned; in order to get warranty I would to order through you or??????
Hey Lynette. If you are wanting to order Pampered Chef items it is always best to order them through a consultant this way if something breaks or you don't Ike it you can easily return them. I would happily help you and have a current link you can order from www.pamperedchef.com/party/pcwkatie Feel free to email me should you have questions or find my group on Facebook here! facebook.com/groups/pcwithkatie/?ref=share
I have seen where people have done them in the basket. You still select air fry but then press rotate so the basket will turn. But most reccomend doing them kn the trays. Let me know which way you do it and how they turn out!
You mentioned doing a turkey breast - we have a bone-in one and I'm looking for options. Would you suggest attempting it on the rotisserie tool? What settings did you use?
I didn't do a bone in one. So it would need to be 4lbs or less to go on the rotisserie. I used the rotisserie setting but afraid I do not recall the time. If it is over 4lbs you will need to put it on a tray.
You don't have to preheat the Pampered Chef Air Fryer. Some other types ask you to, all you do it turn it on without anything in it and let it warm up. Most will say like 5mins. Not a silly question.
The easiest would be to contact the consultant you purchased with and they can have Pampered Chef send you one or Contact PC directly. If you still need help feel free to email me at pcwithkatie@gmail.com
Also if you go to the item on the website and scroll to the end of the product description you can select use and care. There is more info there about the product. www.pamperedchef.com/shop/Small+Appliances/Air+Fryer/Deluxe+Air+Fryer/100194
When you are done with it how do you turn it off? The minus lines just keep flashing. I have been just unplugging it every time. No sure if there was an easier way.
So custom is preset to which setting? Can I do custom bake, air fry, rotisserie, etc? Or is it just one type of custom? Can’t figure that part out on mine. I also HATE that there’s no power button. The flashing light is so annoying. Just let me turn it off/on without having to unplug it. So frustrating.
All the settings are a form of Air Fry. They are just a preset temp and time. I use custom when I need a temp that isn't one of the preset ones. Like when I cook muffins in it, I use custom b/c I need a lower temp than any of the preset ones. I hope this helps.
Not stupid. The worry is if a piece of it should break off and go into the element which could cause a fire or cause damage. So PC says not to use it in our air fryer. I hope this helps.
You are best to contact PC directly. Unfortunately they are not for sale on our website but they may sell them to you over the phone, but I am not 100% sure on that.
This is the cooking book that comes with it. issuu.com/pamperedchef/docs/pamperedchef-daf-cooking-guide If you go to the product on Pampered Chef's website, you can scroll down to use and care. The manual is there.
There are a couple of videos where I take food out of the basket. Not going to lie, it can be a pain. Practice when it's cold while treating it like it's hot. Checkout my Air Fryer Ham or Chex Mix video: ua-cam.com/video/kIts86-WJoU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/X7bdTVwpojI/v-deo.html
Unfortunately you will need to contact the consultant you purchased through and send it back. They have a 1yesr warranty and Pampered Chef will replace them within that time frame.
Technically you don't have to. But should you prefer to you just set it for the temp you will cook at and then set your timer for I guess 3mins or so. I have never preheated it. This type of fryer states you don't need to.
Thanks and Congrats on joining; hope you enjoy being a consultant as much as I have. Android phones have excellent cameras now so I'm sure there are some good options/Apps available.
I was watching this video thinking I like this girl. Two seconds later she’s looking in it and say so shiny! 😆 No wonder I like her, she reminds me of me. 🤣
I hear you dislike this part of the PC Air Fryer, but if you Google this, you will find you should unplug all air fryers. Ours has the flashing light feature to hopefully remind people it is still plugged in and to remember to unplug it. So it is actually a very good design. "Air fryers use a good amount of voltage and thus have the potential to cause an electrical fire. It's always best to unplug them when not in use."
@@PamperedChefWithKatie that's ridiculous. When not running the product should use minimal voltage. A large high power microwave or air conditioner would have the same risk and you dont have to unplug those. It could be designed to use no voltage and a relay to energize therefor eliminating any risk (that is overkill BTW). We do like the air fryer. It is our third and we like this one the best. It has held up well. But this design feature is annoying.
Thank you for this! Pampered chef should include more of your information in their guide! I was So frustrated with the custom temp setting. I couldn’t figure out how to do it on air fry but now I understand thank you so much

1. HEAT SHEILD: If you're having trouble putting the heat shield in, make sure the handle is pointed down and towards the front (not the back or sides).

Should we wash before First use ?
Yes I washed mine before I cooked in it the first time but not for my test run.
Is the top or the side supposed to get hot like the labels says ? Mine doesn’t get that hot. It’s not cold just warm. I can touch it.
Can you make bread in this air fryer like in the oven. I have an oven the doesn't heat even. I use standard pans and stoneware. Thanks in advance.
how do you all handle that hot basket? where do you set it down and how do you open it when it's scorching? i'm just getting to learn how to use mine and the first time i ended up with breading all stuck in the basket - i guess i was meant to have it rotate? i'm sorta wishing i'd gone with one with a simple pull out basket style but hoping that with practice this one will win me over. any tips, pls feel free to answer here. thanks everyone!
I just got my new Air Fryer. I used it yesterday to roast potatoes and everything worked great. Today I tried to cook wings but I couldn’t get the fan to come on no matter what setting I tried. The wings did cook but they were not crispy at all. I wonder what could have gone wrong.
How do you clean the top by the element? Are you able to turn the machine upside down, or will it damage something.
When using custom setting how do I know which cooking mode it's in. Like let's say I want to air fry something at 360F, who do I set that up?
It's okay to cook food on the drip tray?
I love using the tray for cooking. I have a video where I make potatoes in it with bacon cover pork lion on the rotisserie!
If you don't wish to out them directly on the tray you can out down a piece of parchment paper. I put mine right on the tray .
Pampered Chef also has a recipe that has you cooking in the drip tray!
I watched you put the skewers on your and there nice and even and straight, mine are not what am I doing wrong ? I know you skipped but you did put all 8 on correct ? Mine are not lining up .
Thank you , hope you can help me ...lol🤣I know your busy🤣
Did you watch this video? ua-cam.com/video/gIQmMTJD7ps/v-deo.html
Hi Practical Cooking with Katie
I'm new to Air Fryer's; I like your in-depth instructions!
I would happily help you and have a current link you can order from www.pamperedchef.com/party/pcwkatie
Feel free to email me should you have questions or find my group on Facebook here! facebook.com/groups/pcwithkatie/?ref=share
Can you put wings in the rotating basket?
This might sound like a silly question, but do you need to "preheat" the air fryer?? And if so, how do you do that?
You don't have to preheat the Pampered Chef Air Fryer. Some other types ask you to, all you do it turn it on without anything in it and let it warm up. Most will say like 5mins. Not a silly question.
The use and care booklet was not in my box. Is there a way to get that booklet?
The easiest would be to contact the consultant you purchased with and they can have Pampered Chef send you one or Contact PC directly.
If you still need help feel free to email me at pcwithkatie@gmail.com
Also if you go to the item on the website and scroll to the end of the product description you can select use and care. There is more info there about the product. www.pamperedchef.com/shop/Small+Appliances/Air+Fryer/Deluxe+Air+Fryer/100194
Thank you Katie!
When you are done with it how do you turn it off? The minus lines just keep flashing. I have been just unplugging it every time. No sure if there was an easier way.
You are suppose to unplug it. It should not be left plugged in when not in use.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie thank you
@@PamperedChefWithKatiewhy? Will it catch on fire if I leave it plugged in? Terrible design. Maybe I need to unplug my oven too.
Comment faire cuire des porc chop
Im not sure if this is a stupid question but can you explain why not to wrap the food in foil?
Not stupid. The worry is if a piece of it should break off and go into the element which could cause a fire or cause damage. So PC says not to use it in our air fryer. I hope this helps.
I was recently gifted a lightly used fryer, it did not come with the Rotissiere rod or the grab tool, is there any way to purchase those?
You are best to contact PC directly. Unfortunately they are not for sale on our website but they may sell them to you over the phone, but I am not 100% sure on that.
Can you clean between (inside) the door of the AF? If so how?
You can unscrew it and clean it. Just be very careful when you do it. I did it once to put my seal back in place and gave it a quick clean.
I also need the instruction Manuel that comes with it! Please help!!
This is the cooking book that comes with it. issuu.com/pamperedchef/docs/pamperedchef-daf-cooking-guide
If you go to the product on Pampered Chef's website, you can scroll down to use and care. The manual is there.
Show us how you get the food out of the basket?
There are a couple of videos where I take food out of the basket. Not going to lie, it can be a pain. Practice when it's cold while treating it like it's hot. Checkout my Air Fryer Ham or Chex Mix video: ua-cam.com/video/kIts86-WJoU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/X7bdTVwpojI/v-deo.html
If you sign up to sell under one director/team. Can you switch teams?
The only way you can switch teams is. Y going inactive. That takes 6mon of no sales and then you can resign under a new person.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie thank you for responding.
@@rb4382 of course. Happy I can answer your question.
My button functionality stopped working on this air fryer. Any secret rest buttons or anything that anyone knows about?
Unfortunately you will need to contact the consultant you purchased through and send it back. They have a 1yesr warranty and Pampered Chef will replace them within that time frame.
Can you turn off the fan. Thank you
No. That is how it circulates the heat. It can't be turned off and should it stop working you shouldn't use the air fryer.
Is there any way to shut off the beep?
No
Is the custom setting just for the air fryer setting? Meaning if you are using the custom setting it’s just air frying?
Every setting is technical "air frying". They call it a different name based on the temp. Custom is for if you need a temp that isn't a preset.
How do you preheat this air fryer?
Technically you don't have to. But should you prefer to you just set it for the temp you will cook at and then set your timer for I guess 3mins or so.
I have never preheated it. This type of fryer states you don't need to.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie awesome. Thank you so much! That would be why I couldn’t find anything about it because you don’t me too!
How do you shut it off?
You unplug it! 🙂
@@PamperedChefWithKatie wow ok
@@northsideangler8846 if you don't unplug it just flashes... kind of annoying. Explain it some at 5:19
Do you know why you can't put foil in it?
It can restrict air flow and it is also a major safety hazard. Should a piece break off and go on to your heating element that can cause a fire.
Katie, what platform do you use to make your videos?
Kim they're made on an Apple/Mac but could be done with a PC/Windows if that's what you have. Hope the videos have been helpful.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie i just became a PC consultant & love how your videos look. I have an android so I'll have to see what my options are.
I love finding my people! It was so shiny!

The blinking lights that can’t be turned off are annoying. Having to unplug each time is also annoying. Not a good design.
I received my air fryer last week & no cookbook no guide.. now you know someone who didn't get everything in the box. ;(
