Well ... not? As CDPR is its own corporation without any affiliation to any major game distribution companies. (and iirc doesn’t they have actually their own, that GOG?) But that said: Some bank manager might have hasten the (too) early release of the game? :P ... unfortunately for us.

I thought Joe's review on Halo 5 was the most disappointed he had ever been with a triple title but damn his 2077 review tops the cake, dude was crushed.
This was his most anticipated game of every E3 it’s been in.
@Nobod-E
Yeah I think the BF2042 review topped the halo 5 one. I never thought I'd see the day he would get more angry.
What’s worse is that Joe expected better from CD Projekt Red, since they made Witcher 3.
CDPR has a history of being gamer first in terms of service, their handling of everything during the Witcher 3 launch, and the support, free DLCs and full game size expansions over the next four years endeared the fans including Joe to them.
Joe personally went down to their offices once I believe and they have a good working relationship so this probably felt more like a betrayal than the disappointment that 343 provided with Halo.
Hell I have no personal relationship with CDPR and even I felt a little hurt by their Ubisoft and Activision like practices during launch. There are very few game developers that casual gamers trust with their money to preorder their games or buy them full price at launch. CDPR for a long while was one of them and now like Joe said they have to earn out trust back.
I bought the Witcher 3 with the season pass three times over the last five years, twice for the PC and once for the PS4, I did that because I believed that their dedication to the game and to gamers deserved my support. Now I am going to wait for sale on their future games and Joe's review is going to determine if I will even buy it. This is less about the game and more about the company and the company that CDPR used to be seem to be a dying breed.
I think his fallout 76 review may be worse lol
Why some people don't like Angry Joe? This man sacrifice his image towards videogame companies losing advantages like receiving the game before launch and he gets blacklisted by those companies just for speaking the TRUTH.

I keep coming back to this, and when Joe said "end of march, none of this had happened" i died of laughter, this game needed at least 3 years more time to be finished LMAO. "Coming when it's ready" -CDPR
At least they update it. After patch 1.5 the series x port is playable. There is slowdowns in the densely populated places but it is nothing major. First time playing through, but I bought it at launch. Did not refund.
I'd say on the current patch it's a very good game. However it took them a year and 9 months just to get to the point where the game is worth playing.
True, even with all the patches after 1 or two years the game is still not even NEAR to what was promised. The game is now just good enough to justify buying it but other then that, it's still a slightly above average game. A shadow to what was promised. I rather play RDR2 or GOT then this.

No amount of patches could fix its boring plothole riddled story. And them adding the police system that gta 3 pulled off in 2001 and re-arranging the perk system is NOT an overhaul that should've taken 3 years to complete.
Let me guess, playing on xbox one or ps4? Also what kind of depth were you expecting? Witcher 3 has less depth and that game is rightfully considered a masterpiece. They were working on the dlc and other games for 3 years, not just the patches too. I have no idea what plotholes you're talking about, I've played it through many times and have only one or two complaints about the writing. It's at minimum a 9 imo
@darthsa_7521 nope, played on a 3070. And I love how I explicitly stated that my issues with the game weren't the bugs, and yet you couldn't help yourself with the "ps4 xbone" argument still, almost like cyberpunk fans have no actual arguments outside of that.
You're acting like 3 years is nothing, some games, BETTER games I might add get made within that time frame, and within 3 years they shit out a couple of pointless patches and a dlc. Its embarrassing, and people are defending it. It's insane.
And if you want to know how the story is a mess, there's a video called "cyberpunks bugs never mattered, a pointless unpachable plot"
He doesn't even talk about the bugs, its a full video essay on how the game itself to its very core is a trainwreck.
@darthsa_7521 like, you do know that the entirety of the witcher 3 was made in 3 and a half years, right???? And it's dlcs came out the following year. And you're OK that this is all we got from cyberpunk within that time?
You're right. Anyone disagreeing just needs to watch the initial gameplay demo cdpr made.
@subjectdelta17 I watched that video you pointed out, most of what the guy talks about is either completely wrong or irrelevant, most problems he has with the story are explained in detail. But since it's not thrown at his face he just ignores it. I've played the witcher games and cyberpunk numerous times and I'll tell you cyberpunk has significantly more detail in its world and story than witcher does, not to mention a more complex combat system. Cyberpunk is a great game, people are just stuck seeing it as a disappointment due to it not being the life altering game they wanted it to be.

he gave Cyberpunk 2077 PC version a 6/10, same rating as The last of us 2. The last of us 2 is one of the worst games of all time, while Cyberpunk is one of the best games of this year. He only did that because TLOS2 has SJW stuff in there that leftists like angry joe loves and he hates Cyberpunk because Cyberpunk is very anti-sjw. Why do you still support this youtuber ?
@@boi9842 this is the dumbest comment I've ever seen in my life. Last of us 2 wasnt a 10 but it was still a fairly good game. Gameplay was very fun, graphics were great. Only thing that sucked was some of the story.

I love how he talked about halo infinite being delayed at the time, as if that was a good thing. Sure, delaying it could only have been good but the game was still dogshit at launch and still is to this day that nobody is playing it.
That said, no amount of delays could have saved cyberpunk, 2 years after launch and the game still isn't even close to what we were promised, it's just a bog-standard action adventure game with light rpg elements sprinkled in, and now (thankfully) has way less bugs and glitches than it used to. But even 2 years on, it still has a lot of bugs compared to other games...
Lots of people are playing infinite, not what it could of been, but definitely forge and other game modes brought a lot of players

It's been 10 months...love the game but many of the bugs are still here. The rendering delay, NPCs doing weird poses, had my car go through the map. I really hope it all gets patched and the cut content gets put in because this is such an awesome game in terms of the look, story and characters.
I doubt any of the bugs will ever get fixed as CDPR know full well that they have plenty of apologists and simps like Yongyea who will defend them at all times. It's been ages and they STILL haven't stopped the NPC's being ghosts that u can walk thru, the insanely bad levels of texture pop-in, ability to b able to buy a better apartment than the shitty place u get the whole game, oh but don't worry, CDPR were so very generous and gave us an alternative look for Johnny, two jackets and another car to buy. Cuz that is TOTALLY what ppl wanted isn't it? Not an RPG but free clothes and another car 2 buy
@@genericusername4579 well the next gen update certainly gave us all that

I loved the story. Such a shame it was wasted on a dogshit game. Imagine a CP2077 movie or series!
For a company who put so much love and attention to detail into Witcher 3 I was expecting so much especially loving anything cyberpunk. But instead they rushed it out so far away from being ready. Could have been a game for the ages.

@@JustAFatherlyNerd I'm finishing the Nomad path now and it's still very very broken.
I mean I still think what's there plus the constant updates makes the game worth it now, even if it isn't 100% glitch less. I think what Rowe here was getting at was the cultural resurgence the game had after edgerunners. It might not be as functional as it should be, but my word did that anime really show why this game and more importantly this series from Mike Pondsmith is truly astonishing and deserves attention. Your guys' criticisms are completely valid, but I think the game and the developers of the game deserve a little more credit nowadays, although I agree we shouldn't let them forget this fuck up.
