- Aluminum is apparently great at reflecting heat radiation and keeping food warm. But is it able to keep ice from melting? Will ice last any longer in aluminum foil?

Aluminium makes an excellent heatsink. If you could keep the ice from touching the foil it could last a lot longer. I think. It's a hypothesis anyway.
aluminum did somehow prevent convection from getting the ice melt by wrapping it but aluminum is a metal so it conducts heat in the sorrounding area as well thats why you're seeing a bit of a difference. you might find a different result in a heat insulating materials

Al is a good conductor of heat. Don’t waste it, use something made of foam.

It would be interesting to see if you have a good amount of gaps between each layer of aluminum foil to see if this prevents the ice from melting.
