Oh man sorry to hear man this really sux. I have HF version. It stuck and now I figured out how to remove it. I even push tested it all the way to just 5in left of wiggle room lol. It's not that bad before anyone considering dropping the oil pan, do this first. Reference 2010 Camry. My dipstick is located at SE corner. Twist CCW 1/4 turn push forward 1 inch then pull/yank backward. For me it was CCW, if it doesn't work then go CW only at 1/4 turn don't over twist or you'll cause a breakage and now you'll definitely need to drop the pan. And also when pushing forward don't push too far, 1in is about right or you'll make newer kinks. I have a total of 5 kinks and managed to pull out all the way out. It's okay to use extractor, here's the deal I'd avoid if your dip tube is at a slim fit, go for it if it's 3x fatter in diameter, fatter tube will not less lightly to cause it kink. Then you'll need to pay attention when it hits the bottom, take measurement against the actual dipstick itself so you'll know when to stop.

This same shit just happended to me now on my Audi Q5 2016. I ran the engine a while so it got HOT and twisted and yanked on the plastic tube until it came out. I made sure not to break "tear" the tube, letting the new tube I pulled out cool off then pulled some more, rinse and repeat.

I woulda used a drill and tightened the chuck on the tube directly, rotated slowly while pushing and pulling gently….might have worked. What a nightmare that must have been!

TOP TIP Make sure you measure the tube against the Dipstick then you know how far to insert it, was told this first time someone used one on my car

i have a '16 sq5. same engine as this -no dispstick. so can't measure against anything. not sure if the poster's a6 has a dipstick either. but the engine comes with the dipstick tube as seen here.

@@errol_m 0:22 is the video i assume that's the dipstick tube, even says in the video description " Oil extractor stuck in dipstick tube! 2013 Audi A6 (C7) 3.0T. " . so are you saying there is a dipstick tube with no dipstick inside? so you have nothing to measure against

@@Scouterlad yeh, it’s a bit funny, these engines come with dipstick tubes, but no dipstick! Not being sarcastic either. Haha. That being said, some of them had dip sticks, others, like mine, only have the tube with a plug on top. I have to check oil level through the MMI screen.

@@errol_m I bought a dip stick, comparing the level to the level on the screen, there is quite a discrepancy. I'd strongly suggest you get an actual dipstick

Laziness turned to more work. Change the oil, the traditional way
