Lamont always keeps it💯. He wasn't a bend over Billy.✊🏿 I watch Sanford & Son every night on Pluto TV. He did an interview a couple weeks ago a said this same thing about Norman Lear. All those shows were Eric Monte and Mike Evans ideas. Good Times, Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, What's Happening. Let's give them or their family residual checks and credit!💰💴💶💷💷💸

Sadly, Michael Evans passed quite a while back (11/3/1949-12/14/2006), but hopefully, his kids and grandkids can benefit. Eric Monte is 80, so hopefully he can live long enough to get some justice.

Demond Wilson played Lamont with dignity and pride. His performance was not negative or shucking and jiving. He was the perfect balance to Red Foxx's comedic character. I don't think that Sanford would have been bearable to watch if both characters were like Fred. The same goes for Esther Rolle and John Amos. Had they not been on Good Times speaking up about their portrayal of black characters all of the characters probably would have been acting like JJ.

Sanford and Son was a remake of Steptoe and Son, a British comedy. It happened more than people think in the 1970s. Even Three’s Company was a remake of a British show called Man About the House. And the Ropers was a remake of George and Mildred. (Though neither of those were Norman Lear shows.) Of course Lear took ideas. He and others did it too. Those are just a few examples off the top of my head.

"All In The Family" was based off of the British show "Till Death Do Us Part"!
