    Good video. Yeah the old 'no hot water' complaint when they mean no water at all. I always check with them when they say that.

    On the vaillant, I found a few that had a split condense hose off the heat exchanger. Obviously would only leak when its running, easy enough the replace

    Hi, could you show how to check static presure on sit gas valve and how to set it up for dynamic pressure when gas boiler is working?

  • @kevincranfield5235
    @kevincranfield5235 Рік тому +1

    Didn’t you test power to the gas valve first and the resistance through the coils before assuming the valve was faulty???

  • @colinfleming2244
    @colinfleming2244 Рік тому +1

    Never use a electrical screwdriver to check for power. We prob all do it but do it a training center automatic fail

    Amazing videos as per usual some times its the simple things that are most useful.I had a nightmare on a job, because i could not crack a nut on the zone valve. I cut the zone valve out had leaks when repressurings on the soldered joints seeing you just spray wd40 on it has made me feel like a donut haha

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  Рік тому

      Haha, WD40 doesn’t always work unfortunately! I’ve been in your situation a few times

    Nothing wrong with using a good quality neon for quick checking buddy, I was brought up with them and still use one. Good video, only suggestion would be to buy one with some blade insulation.

      @@advancedboilertraining I’m on my third lesson in a gas safe course right now, how long did it take you to reach the level of competence you’re at/able to repair different types of boilers/fault find efficiently? Just after some guidance, after you got your gas safe how did you go about learning all the required info regarding boilers and repairs?
