    I had the older brushed model and loved it. Upgraded to the brushless driver and one of my favorites

    Unfortunately these aren’t available in Australia anymore. Been looking for one for ages. 😢

    Have being using for more than 10 years the previous version (DCF610), now I'm looking to upgrade. I use it every day for cabinet installation, but only for small screws (hinges, hardware, slides). What I like is than unlike an impact the collet doesn't spin when you don't press the trigger, that allows for small adjustments by turning the tool like a screwdriver.

    Great vid! This driver is damn sexy! I'll use an impact driver all the time to remove screws, but for turning them in, I've had switch to the drill. Inground vinyl lined pool acrylic stairs have +/- 30 screws that have to be fairly precise tightness. I could always hand tighten manually, but if over tight, you could fracture the screw plate block behind the steps, underground, under beautiful stamped concrete. ¡ No bueno!

    Does anyone know the real specs on this? Dewalt’s european website says 8nm, but I suspect that it has much more torque than that.

      @nitrocranium yeah it feels like it has more power for sure

      Was wondering the same. I dismissed it due to the 8nm on their site but definitely looks like it has some power

      @@ab_mtb and that is why I ended up getting the Makita DF032. Much clearer specs available.

      @@nitrocranium makita is a no go for me unfortunately. I'm in the motor trade & makita don't have a great selection of tool for me

      Callme old school but I like the idea and simplicity of just 1 option. In the most compact package as light as possible

    I agree with you other than that belt clip is the worst of any power tool I’ve had it broke completely out of the plastic screw and set nut broke out

    You should get the DCD703. Same concept, much more versatile.

    I don't understand why American people always use drills to install screws. This is 100 times better than a drill.

    • @toolsandtactics
      @toolsandtactics  8 місяців тому

      We don't lol. Rarely does anyone even use a screw longer then 3 inches. Maybe roughlumber. Like to build a diy project. Of a rough rustic structure for The most part we use nails. That are not going to shear
      Anything longer than that? You should run a bolt, drill the hole sandwich it and use a nut or mending plates.
      Don't get too caught up in the UA-cam b. S
      A lot of The Times you're watching larger screws being run to show the difference between the tools. The longer the screw, the more comparison you can see

    Not as nice or powerful, but I love my DCF801 12v 👍
