I recently painted a portrait and it's the first time I've actually liked and was proud of it. watching your videos has helped so much with understanding where to place light and shadow and using color theory to my advantage. Love your art and art style so much. It's very inspiring.
Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Kellen Kye thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This piece is so inspired! I love how you've added extra bits to your videos like colour mixing, brush washing and going into more detail about your process. It was so helpful and is an example of one of my favourite things about your videos that you always make the extra effort to connect to your viewers in a very genuine way.

Omg its's posted!!! I got so excited when you posted about it on your story!!!
She looks absolutely amazing! So beautiful! I love all the blue in this art piece.😍💕 It really helps when I see other peoples process and especially when they talk about it too. Thanks.😊
The lineart for the hair is SO nice!! I love the ""finishing"" details like that - it really pulls everything together in a way thats SO fun to watch :D
I must say.. Adding the last touch up of yellow for her skin made her skin pop up more. It became warmer tho but it contrasts the background and her hair, that's why in the end your painting became a lot more amazing and unique~ nice decision Senpai hehe Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Love this. I've almost only used alcohol markers for the last 2 years but she's convinced me to get back to watercolour and gouache againnfor her october challenge 🎨 top tips as usual 💛
when i saw this post on ig i audibly gasped, bc the way u detailed hair was so intricate and lovely !! i then immediately checked youtube to watch ur timelapse vid
I can't believe how much you improve everytime you upload! It just looks so good and I can't help but fall in love with your work and of course with you,Queen! Hope you are also doing well and so is your family,Queen! Lots of love from🇵🇭
I'm interested in using more watercolors so it was helpful to hear you talk through your thought process including the trial and error. The piece turned out lovely~ Also, this hair looks really fun/relaxing to paint lol
Another masterpiece. What I love about your illustrations are that they have a dream-like quality to them and of course they're super beautiful as well..😍😍💗💗
i would love to see you painting Yue from Avatar: The Las Airbender!!! i know all of your artwork is amazing and I would love to see how you would paint her💜
Hi I just want to say you are my favorite artist in the world, you are so so good and inspire me so much! My style is a little similar to yours but you inspired me to do so many drawing that without you I wouldn’t have done.Thank you for being here and inspiring me to draw everyday. Ily ✨💕💕
This was amazing to watch, I actually love the talking about your thought process voiceover 🙌🏻✨ I’m going to sign up for your Patreon as soon as I’m able!✨💛
Ahhhh how inspiring!! This really turned out amazing and I absolutely love the concept. I think it was very helpful to see your process and have you talk through it. It also made me realize it's not as scary as I think it is to do a watercolor portrait, it just needs practice and patience. Another thing is earlier this year I felt discouraged to do simple portrait drawings with fun or pretty magic elements because I felt like it might get boring to people since it's pretty common. Watching you draw so many lovely girls in these amazing portrait shots kinda reassures me that it's fine to do that if it's what I really like to do. Thank you ^^
I'm so glad! I thought it was important to show the small mistakes so that helps reassure people not to get discouraged if they experience any set-backs! Patience is definitely key! Also, YES! I am a film believer in creating the work that makes you as the artist happy!
When you said Hokusai all I could think of was how there would def be nips in it if they painted this 😜 Love the skin-tone and the face! Really excellent💚
The blue is so satisfying in this piece! Do you paint flat down for filming only, or is that your preferred painting layout? Do you ever find you get a sore neck/shoulders?
Thanks so much! I sometimes prefer to sketch on a tilt but I almost always paint flat because I don't want the paint to run. But funny enough filming helps me have a more upright posture cause otherwise my head will block the camera :P
Thanks so much! I actually don't stretch my paper cause I'm lazy/impatient lol! If the paper is warped I'll cover the back side with water, put a piece of paper on it and some heavy books overnight to straighten it out :D (I really should just stretch it though lol)
i always get intimidated trying to watercolor a sketch, especially if I really like it. But your videos always inspire me✨. So I'm gonna step outside my comfort zone for the zodiac challenge this October and create some watercolor portraits. Wish me luck 😂. P.S. this piece turned out amazing 💕
i also don't like how i could possibly ruin the paper when sketching on it directly, so that's why i use a light box! i'm very heavy handed so i can easily go ham on sketching with printer paper then i just transfer it onto my nicer watercolor paper without worrying about the sizing getting affected. hope this could help!💜
Usually, I look at the length of the video and if it's over 15 minutes, I just kind of SKIP to the next one. I was so curious about the process behind this beautiful painting that I clicked. Then the trial and error and many adjustments on the way to the end result got me. The gal looks so chill that I just figured she took one, maybe two steps, but this was actually quite a ride. You stuck with it to get to that wonderful sense of cohesiveness at the end. How many hours would you say this took?
Idk if this is the exact same paper but I bought it bc I thought it was a better brand than canson but as great as arches. I have a hard time keeping the paint on the paper. It lifts too easily. I wonder if my window Newton conman are mostly non-staining. The blue/green is the only few colors i could get to stay on the paper. I know the more expensive paint has a denser color & stain better. Daniel Smith being one on my list but I just can't afford it at the moment. This pencil looks super useful. I have water color pencils & these prisma Verithins that are somewhat erasable.
have you ever done a poster study? do a portrait, choose to include x number of tones, hmm lets say 4 tones plus white! yeah so when you done the sketch you decide where the tones go, you could go all the way to black, but you usually keep the darkest part in some color, so choose that. But you gotta map them out on before hand! Have fun😄
i love the hair waves, super beautiful. does the W&N ink get sparkles everywhere?? i have some gold ink but i hate using it cause it gets sparkles everywhereee hahaha i love glitter but yea it can be annoying when not intended
I wish someone loved me the way Tina loves magenta
At least people don't love you the way Kasey loves purple. Just keep your chin up ♥️
LOL HONESTLY SAME
I recently painted a portrait and it's the first time I've actually liked and was proud of it.

Can't wait to receive this print! Do you stretch your paper before you paint or do you just stick it down ? Do you have much trouble with buckling ?
Thanks so much! I actually don't stretch my paper cause I'm lazy/impatient lol! If the paper is warped I'll cover the back side with water, put a piece of paper on it and some heavy books overnight to straighten it out :D (I really should just stretch it though lol)
@@imawonder ahhh so clever!! I'm the same too impatient! I'm definitly gonna try this I paint quite small so it should work well for me.
hey i luv ur art its inspring God bless u have a nice day or night or afternoon
i always get intimidated trying to watercolor a sketch, especially if I really like it. But your videos always inspire me✨. So I'm gonna step outside my comfort zone for the zodiac challenge this October and create some watercolor portraits. Wish me luck 😂. P.S. this piece turned out amazing 💕
YAY, I believe in you!! Also you can always take a picture or scan your sketch before you paint it just in case!
I love watching ur videos so lovely 😍
I love your videos 💙💙
To ima wonder she looks like a wind spirit or a mermaid very pretty.
7:33 there actually is a science to it. It’s a property of water called cohesion/adhesion.
I enjoyed this. Wish the camera would of zoomed in when your drawing. Learning here😁😁😁
i also don't like how i could possibly ruin the paper when sketching on it directly, so that's why i use a light box! i'm very heavy handed so i can easily go ham on sketching with printer paper then i just transfer it onto my nicer watercolor paper without worrying about the sizing getting affected. hope this could help!💜
Oh totally! I also often use the light box method too! Depends on how complicated I think the piece is going to be haha
Cool!

you should recreate an alphonse mucha painting
I loove Alphonse Mucha!

Is it just me or when she was adding the gold stars you were looking at the jar of gold ink move at 23:42
i love the hair waves, super beautiful. does the W&N ink get sparkles everywhere?? i have some gold ink but i hate using it cause it gets sparkles everywhereee hahaha i love glitter but yea it can be annoying when not intended
Thanks so much! I haven't had any issues with any sparkle residue!
I like her too 😊
