What timing you have, my J16 arrives tomorrow. Been watching reviews on it to enhance my confidence in my purchase. Glad your experience with it has been great, looking forward to enjoying mine.
J16 is a solid pen on multiple levels. Do yourself a favor and grab an Asvine C2000. I am in love with it. One of the most pleasant writers I’ve experienced. As good as my Montblanc, no word of a lie.
I have been eyeing this pen for a while. But I chose to get the C2000 which is a phenomenal writer with its #8 nib and stabilized wood body. I will wait a bit for this pen. I love titanium body pens.
The J16 (I have the brushed finish) is a great pen, I have been using it as an everyday carry for several months. I like the fact that Asvine is bring a broader range of nibs to the market, with offering a broad nib on the J16 and a stub nib on the C2000. While I have see several post about people receiving Asvine nibs with tight tines, I have never experienced that issue. The only problem I have ever experienced on an Asvine pen is nib dry out on my C2000 (1 dries out if not used for 24 hours and the other oen takes close to week to dry out if unused).I am an Asvine fan and own at least 1 of every model. The C2000's are the first midel that I have had an issue with.
Once I filled the hole at the top of the cap liner (with some glue) I haven't had dry out issues with the C2000 anymore. A really weird design decision on their part, but at least it's fixable. And yes, the stub nib on that model is so great.
@@johndevault9030 I used rubber cement and just filled the hole. I didn't smear it around. It seems that hole really is the only opening that needed to be closed.
I have five Bock nibs currently and they all are better than my two JoWo nibs. That being said neither of them were perfect out of the box, but the Bock nibs tuned up nicer and I guess the end result is what I have to judge them on. I also just don't like unstamped nibs. They feel so generic and cheap to me. I love a good nib stamp and obviously Sailor, Pilot and Montblanc take that cake, but the Bock stamp is pretty nice as well.

This is an encouraging review, thanks for your efforts! I already like my Asvine purchases thus far, so I'm adding this to the list. Cheers.
Bought the brushed titanium model last year and it's absolutely fantastic. Incredibly solid, great writer, very comfortable to use.
Just ordered one so I hope it's everything you say it is. I also got the same bottle of ink that you used (Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku). Great video!
Ordered! Thank you for the information!
Added a Kirk Speer 14k gold nib to mine and it is one of my top 3 writing pens easily. Including Montblanc and Sailor KOP. Love my J16!!
@@DKW-f7z I don’t even think I would change the nib. It just writes so beautifully.

Dont worry… one is coming

I have a C2000 on the way. I’m looking forward to it.
It's pretty awesome. I'm planning to get one soon.

@UrbanHafner Did you just put the glue down into the cap liner on smear it around with a swab, then let it dry?

Did you notice any slipperiness around the grip section?
@@JJToyo Not at all
They just need to do a thinner body version and we wll have another golden era of handwriting besides keyboards and eletronic gadgets like cellular.
I like the Ku Jaku ink.
