Omg I love this! Caroline is my Grandma's favorite movie well one of her favorite movies. Beautiful drawing like always! I love you and everyone who see's this have a great day and spread positivity! Hope your doing ok!
I TOTALLY relate to the hands struggle!!! What I usually do with hands is this: Since I’m right-handed, I tend to use my left hand for reference and draw it from life; it’s what I do for all of my art. However, when it comes to the right hand, it’s more tricky. So what I do for that is that I get a mirror so my left hand will be flipped so I am able to draw it. If it’s digital, I flip the canvas to draw right hands. Admittedly, your method of drawing it from a photo is a lot easier 🤣 But drawing from life is always helpful, right? It can really help one to draw from imagination!
Aah, this is the perfect video for me! It's got good-quality detailed process footage plus well thought-out in-depth explanations, soothing music and voiceover, cool subject, and a gorgeous art piece at the end. But my favourite part is that the palette is in the video, and that you walk us through your paint&water management. Because that aspect is always so hard for me, and it helps a ton to see and hear how an experienced painter like you approaches that process. Thank you!
This is by far my favorite, I love Caroline ! She turned out so good 😍 I truly admire your hard work and dedication for this series and your other series on Instagram ! Loving them both !
this looks so fantastic! I love how it turned out! I was just watching a bunch of coraline theory videos when I got this notification which is too perfect
fantastic mr fox was one of me and my sister favorite movies i loved the animation as well. It's such a cool thing,my art teacher had us do our own little films, fun but not for me but this was a wonderful video!!!
This movie and Laika will forever hold a special place in my heart I remember seeing this movie for the first time in theaters and my young eyes we’re glued to the screen the moment the music started playing and the opening credits we’re shown,By some miracle I wasn’t traumatized from watching this surprisingly dark movie and I came out of the theatre amazed at what I just watched
ahhhh I love watching your process, it comes out so vibrant and fun! I'm glad you added the clouds and stars to the background, it's very subtle but perfect as an element. This makes me really want to rewatch coraline haha
I love Coraline too,but I love animation films anyway being arty!just amazes me..You have done a beautiful piece of work here she’s Gorgeous, and I do like how you did the jumper too, looks great 😀
What a beautiful illustration!! I love Coraline so much. I'm obsessed with the movie. I also watched it in the theater in 3D and also have the DVD with the 3D glasses. I've also read the book. You should read it if you haven't already. It's just as amazing. It's such an amazing movie, especially for this time of year. I watch it even when it's not Halloween. I wanted to buy this as an art print but it sold out. I hope they'll be back in stock when your shop reopens. 😃
Ah I loved this so much💖 I'm thinking next week's gonna be Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked! Literally loved singing "What is this feeling" back in middle school when I first heard of the play😄
Hmm, I want to say Harry and Draco for the clue. I also want to suggest Mildred and Ethel from Worst Witch, since that's also a Magic School Rivalry pair, although less known than Harry Potter.
Omgosh! I’m not even gonna lie when I saw you painted coralline I literally screamed with excitement 😂 she’s one of my favorite characters! You did such an amazing job on it 😁❤️
No idea why, but the sketch reminds me of Archer. Coraline doesn't necessarily make me think of that animation style, but this was giving me Archer vibes. Love the piece, it's fantastic. And I appreciate you did the sweater. As a knitter that was one of my fave details from the movie. Especially when I found out it was hand knit in miniature. Been obsessed with making one for me. Maybe someday.
I think I know what the next one is, I can't remember the name of the show but if I'm correct I grew up watching it and I'm so excited to see your drawing for it!!!
So lovely!! I have a question: what are the pros/ cons of using Acrylic Gouache over Gouache? I too use gouache with both pencil and watercolor and always assumed that Acrylic Gouache might be better when it comes to layering to avoid reactivation. My concern was how it would act when adding pencil over it for texture. This looks like they go together like peas and carrots!
I think the surface texture of acrylic gouache and gouache is going to feel the same but generally the main difference is that acrylic gouache is not going to reactivate again after it's dried so it just depends on your process When it comes to using it with coloured pencils I don't mind which one but on their own I prefer acrylic gouache :)
God Coraline creepys me out so much but this illustration is amazing, love the mix of gouache and pencil. One of my favourite mix media styles to use personally.
God I'm always heavy handed and yes I do trace MY OWN work or drawing to another paper from time to time. I mostly sketch, redraw, or do fan art though
I'm just discovering your channel and I love it ! Your way to paint is so amazing and relaxing ! I have no idea what would be your next piece but I'll be watching it for sure :D
i know you mention ref pics but how do you do it for clothes for specific textures on various postures? what do you usually do when drawing fashion? i've followed some tutorials online but i still find it hard to freestyle things on diff poses
I am late to this but do you reccomend any books of instruction that fit close to your illustration aesthetic? I love this! Side note- Coraline is my favorite!
I knew it was coraline as soon as I saw it!

A dream came true, when my favorite artists paints your favorite character from your favorite movie 😭♥️🥺✨
Aww glad the universe could work it's magic! Haha
If it’s Elphaba and Glinda I am going to lose my voice screaming with excitement!
Omg me too
So, have you lost your voice? Haha
Luz and Amity from The Owl House is my guess of the clue.
I think so too, but they don't hate each other anymore, right? I don't watch the show 🤷🏽♀️

I think the next illustration is gonna be the characters from wicked. Maybe..
Especially since she said they "loathe" each other 🤔
For sure Elpheba and Galindo. “With a Ga”
Omg I hope so
The stars of Wicked the musical of course 🍀🌸🌿🌷🦚🦩

Amazing as always. 💛
Yey! Video to watch before I sleep! ✨
I LOVE CORALINE!
The one dislike is the Other Mother.
Thank you for this I’ve been beating myself up for not knowing I could outline my gouache paintings with color pencil
If you have two glasses for water you’ll always have clean water on hand :) and you can clean your brushes better in between!
I reckon Harry and Draco for next week!
This is brilliant. I am struggling to get my colored pencils to lay down over gouche. Is it the type of colored pencils? The type of gouche?
Do you find using colour pencil on top of paint works better? Does the paint give enough smoothness for pencils to grip/glide better?
i know you mention ref pics but how do you do it for clothes for specific textures on various postures? what do you usually do when drawing fashion? i've followed some tutorials online but i still find it hard to freestyle things on diff poses
I have a feeling your next video will be Harry Potter fanart 😍
Question : do grades matter in art? And why?
I am late to this but do you reccomend any books of instruction that fit close to your illustration aesthetic? I love this! Side note- Coraline is my favorite!
