Great tips! I’m 36 and been in a wheelchair all my life and have never thought of some of these. The seam ripper for the front casters is a brilliant idea! I’ll definitely be purchasing a couple!
@Danique Buissé I hope you make more content in the future 🙂
I’m almost 10 years post-wreck now... These tips are fantastic!
Am a new wheelchair user,,well am still in the hospital and am trying to learn tips for the future,,,thanks so much for your time i enjoy your video
As a fellow wheelchair user I have been for the last 10 years now I had to bring in your resume/trail I am only paralyzed on my left side so I don’t want to Use catheters or anything like that thankfullyBut all your other tips were really good thank you!
Hi, I just found your channel. I hadn't thought of using a seamripper for the hairy casters. I usually pull the caster all the way out, clean and spray lube the bearings, and tighten the caster bolts just tight enough the caster can still spin freely. Usually takes 30 minutes a couple times a year.
Merci Danique - how awesome to share these tips! You are an inspiration!
An amazing video - such practical advice thank you
Great tips. I’ve been using the last tip since I started driving. I use a bicycle cup holder and mounted onto the frame of my chair. Very useful.
Well first of all I would like to say that you are very brave & I appreciate seing any1 I’m a wheelchair still living a productive & active life . I’m a left leg AKA n had complications so I was unable to get a prosthetic so I will pretty much be in a wheelchair for a good part of my life And when I had my injury in the beginning I never got said I remain positive but throughout my course of being in this year I see so many wheelchair people they just give up they get depressed and you know I try to tell them that you know there’s lifestyle out there for you just because you’re in that chair don’t give up so I just wanted to say I appreciate the videos and just I appreciate you doing what you do
Thank you!! So easy to follow and practical.

OMG I love this video!!! What I need is the tray !!! I am looking for it. How did you get it?!
Thanks for the video! Do you have leg and or foot spasms? My paraplegic friend in high school did and I’ve always been curious if the leg spasms she got were typical for a spinal cord injury or not.
She could trigger spasms by siting back in her chair, we could sometimes be helpful for transfers.
Anyway, if you could do a video about spasms, that would be very interesting! Thanks!
Thank you😃 it help me im a quadriplegic😆
I burn the hairs off my castors. I'll try and use your tip next time.
