I liked your video and your life hacks. I myself am a newbie to a wheelchair, still trying to figure things out. I do use rings especially in kitchen when I don't want to go n get my grabber. I also found that using a dollar store dust pan helps me pick up things if it's to heavy or big for tongs/ n grabber.
Bedrooms are a struggle to use so I took a child's room end n taped it to a yard stick. Yard stick is lighter n doesn't slide off surface when you're propping it up. And yard stick is flexible to bend under low furniture.
Thank you for your hacks keep posting

I live in a small apartment and is very old.
The solution I've found is based on Amazon's alexa voice control of wifi switches, plugs and lamps.
Voice control is good with busy hands, do not require a remote but you can use your mobile phone to eventually check if you forgot to switch off things from everywhere you are.
    Hugs from Italy

!!!! Wow !!! Watching soooo many youtube posts and in real life watching those around me, i have never seen anyone use or mention using bbq tongs. I have used them for 17 years. Fun to have folks ask me why i have them. When i explain you can see the bulb go off and away they go to get some tongs. As to the string on the door, been also using that also for about 17 years. I just one day was closing the door and thought that i should just be able to grab something and then the string thing came to mind. Has worked perfectly. But dont use actual string, use some braided nylon thin rope, lasts longer. Awesome video.

The string I used has been on my door for the 7 years I've lived here and it hasn't broken. It's heavy duty string and very strong but I guess it don't look that fancy

@@CloverRose yea, my first mistake without thinking much was installing cheap string. Broke in months. Now i have string that has been there since. I give this idea to folks at times and they always give me the why didnt they think of that look. Good fun.

I like clean floors - my chair is a dirt-magnet until I get indoors, then it trashes my floors with dirt & grime. When I had a manual wheelchair, I could take off the wheels one at a time and clean them. Now that I am in an electric wheelchair, I cannot do that. Have you figured out a way to "wipe your feet" before you go inside?
