You might get more deep coverage of your grey if you wrap it in plastic wrap after applying. Also, Lush recommends applying the Rouge color to grey hair first, then doing a second application of the darker hennas (like the marron, brun, or noir) over it to get those darker tones to "take" better. But I have used the marron over my whole head, wrapped in plastic and left for about 3 hours, and I love how it turns my greys into red highlights. I've also mixed marron and brun together in the bowl, but haven't noticed much difference in how the greys get covered.
Yeah I was unsure about the plastic wrap because Lush recommended you don't use plastic so the indigo can develop. Kinda confusing! I admire your experimentation with the product, I just do not have it in me to do it twice in a row hahahaha.
Excellent review. It covered the grey nicely. It's like henna 'works' with the grey to embrace them! I use Desert Shadow Henna and it's lovely; makes the hair lovely. Great video, your hair looks lovely.
I just redid my colour again with another 2 chunks of the product and I'm so in love with how soft my hair feels right after! Let me know what you think when you try it!
Thank you so much! This is the exact video I was looking for - our hair is about the same colour and my grey is also around my temples. I was wondering if this Brun colour would work. I'm going to try it!
Thanks so much for the review. I have never seen henna in this form, only the powder, It does remind me of a chocolate bar.lol. I love how it enhanced your hair, almost like highlights. Henna DOES fill in any "holes" in the hair shaft and is used in Ayurved and by Indians especially to cover greys. Blessings.
Are you still using this? Did you ever redo your grey streak and hairline and how did it turn out? OR were you able to go back to regular hair dye? Or would you even want to if you love the results.
@@CorrieV Hahaha 😂 I can't help you, I am sorry, I'm a mess!!! 🥺 I am a former red (natural) with silver turning into white roots! Had too many health scares to want to use dye, but henna (which looks so beautifully natural on blondes and brunettes, unfortunately cannot be used easily on greying reds! UNLESS, unless they go brunette and it has indigo in it! You are a lovely brunette, but I am not! 🥺
@@hipretty Some of the other comments suggest layering to build up the colour, might work better for greys. I just can't invest that much time and energy!
It looks nice but seems like a lot of work. I wanna try it, but I’m kinda lazy lol. I have some scattered grays, not too many yet, so I think it’d prob blend them enough but when I get more grays I’d probably prefer a chemical dye. I wish grays weren’t so difficult to cover!
I've henna'd over dyed brown hair and dyed my henna'd hair brown. It's been fine, but I would maybe patch test first to make sure there is no weird chemical reactions.
@@CorrieV I had my hair bleached and then dyed with black chemical dye. Then I dyed it over it all with henna and it worked!!! Henna covered everything plus my grey hair. It was lush Marron. 😍
Turned out well. I’ve done it before and mine grew 4 inches. I’m getting ready to try it again today but this time I’ve got grey where I didn’t last time.

Did you get some gray coverage doing just one application? I don’t have many grays yet, just want to blend them a little.
@@milliem8051 yes, just one application, leaving it on about three hours.

Thanks for sharing! I'll check out that brand!
How long did this colour last ?
I'm not going to cover my greys, but I'm going to get highlights instead, for free? UGH living for this, can't wait to try it. Thanks for your review!

Thank you very much for sharing! I really appreciate it and your hair looks really nice and healthy!
Thank you! Greys look great and exactly what I was looking for! Can’t wait to try mine.
Let us know what you think when you get to try it!
Off topic but I always say I have caca brown eyes and every time I read the name on the block it makes me giggle 🤭

That makes sense, thanks for sharing, Alison!! and thanks for watching, as always :)
@@CorrieV You are always welcome. I meant Ayurveda earlier. Apologies. Blessings.
I think that natural grey streak is beautiful!
Aw thanks!

I ended up trying again... then switched back to regular dye... then decided to grow out my grays again :( Please help me.

Thank you for replying back! 💗🙏🌺
@@CorrieV Do you know how long do you have to wait after using henna to use chemical dyes? Til it grows out or just til it fades a lot?
My hair is curly and it didn’t bother the curls last time
Beautiful and the greys looks like natural highlites :-)
They really do!
It looks good to me 🤩
I bought the same bar

Yeah, I switched back to permanent hair dye now cause it's so much work and so messy. Fun to try though.
Do you think semi permanent covers few grays better than henna? I’m fine with it looking like highlights I just want it to not be very noticeably gray
I switched back to permanent dye cause I want the longer-term effects.
"who did - like - gross poops?!" I'm dying 🤣
Would henna dyed over chemically dyed hair? I want to cover it all up with dark brown...

You’re only supposed to rinse your hair with water and then use conditioner. No shampoo for about 48-72 hours
Is this a chemical dye? I can't use hair color due to allergies. Just asking
If you have allergies, you might be sensitive to this - I would patch test!
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? And how much grey percentage would you consider yourself to be?
I'm 35 and I would say like 5-8% lol. I have a patch on top, and some greying around the sides of my face.
Do it more often and youll get the desired result
Thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna try again very soon!

Haha, I think we all went a little more gray in 2020... :)
Interested in seeing your second attempt.
Well i did do a second attempt, it was fine. I did not do a third attempt :(
