Hi! Our henna hair dye is back, with a new formula after carefully taking all your feedback into conversation - you can find it all through our website www.lush.com/mena/en_ae/c/henna-hair-dye
The new formula doesn't work. I've been using the old henna over 15 years. Every 4-8 weeks. I loved it. Great coverage. Great colour. Covered grey. The new formula doesn't colour grry, barely covers at all and leaves your hair dry. The new formula is crap. I'm beside myself. I've been using henna from lush for over 15 years...but will never again use the new formula. It just doesn't work. Why take something wonderful and make it crap?? They'll tell you it's better. It's not. It's useless now. Lush should listen to customer feedback. 95% of comments on page for the new formula are negative.

I have been using your henna (Noir) ever since Lush launched in Qatar (around 10 years or so). I was happy with your previous version but the new formula doesn't work at all. The new Noir gives only 10% of grey coverage (a slight amber color). I have used it twice with one week apart whilst leaving it on for 4 hours on the hair and I still get the same weak color. As a trusted customer, Lush must make the old version available or at least modify the new formula to match the previous one and to procure the best result.

I've used the rouge henna for year's, reapplying every 6-8 week's but I'm so disappointed that it no longer works. I used the new formula after watching this video and left it on for 3 hour's. I was left with virtually no change apart from some yellowish staining in some areas. I used the remaining half the following day just to be sure, and there was no change at all. Please change it back!

The new formula is an insult to dedicated customers including myself. Bring back the orginal formula!!! This should no longer be considered a dye because it doesnt stick to my hair anymore. Doesnt cover grays, roots, no longer conditions my hair n leaves it feeling like straw. I was left with a yellowish tint in my hair. This stuff belongs in the trash. Lush should be ashamed. I am no longer a customer unless they vring back the OG formula.
You can definitely just use the darker shaded hennas! You don't have to mix them with the Rouge if your desired outcome is only to cover your grey strands 🤍
New formula is trash. Used for 6yrs, always came out beautifully, n i always used a metal bowl n spoon. No problems. The new formula goes well in the garbage.
My hair is pretty much black. I want to add a rich red tone to my dark hair. Will going straight to Rouge give me the most drastic dye? I’d like to go as red as possible using henna. If there is a process that yields the best results I’d be greatful. I love how healthy my hair is. I have only dyed my hair once with a box dye around 3 years ago.
Hi Alexis! Yes, going straight to Rouge would be your best option. Once you put the henna on your hair, wrap your hair in a towel or shower cap and leave it on for 3 hours. As your hair is naturally very dark you probably won't see a big difference after using just one Henna block alone, so we would suggest getting a few blocks of Henna and applying them over a few weeks for the best result ✨
@@alexisrivas307 We suggest reapplying a block of Henna once each week for the first 3-4 weeks as your hair is so dark, then once every few months to maintain the color!
Hi! All our Hennas are natural colorants - The range is 100% natural and PPD free, providing a way to dye your hair more safely. You can find our range here: www.lush.com/mena/en_ae/c/henna-hair-dye
Thank you for your comment! No, the colour will not be in an orange tint if you use rouge as you have dark brown hair, but if your desired outcome is a dark reddish colour we suggest you use the Marron. For a more detailed consultation, we suggest you visit any of our stores where our staff will be able to help you more in detail 🤍
@@peregrinefalcon6747yes it does a small amount. Indigo has been used as a dye since ancient times in many countries. If you ever owned a pair of jeans that faded with washes those were probably dyed with natural indigo. The Hungarians have a beautiful fabric called “Kekfesto” which is still made using the traditional methods and indigo. On it’s own indigo is blue but combined with henna it creates black or brown depending on the ratios.
We suggest you reapply the dye every few months, it just depends on how well your hair holds on to the dye! Usually around 3-4 months is the best to keep the color vibrant 🥰
Petition to bring back the old henna formula

I want to keep my hair dark and just cover my greys, is it fine to use the dark hennas straight or do I have to mix it with the roughe henna?

Thanks for the tutorial! Is it safe to mix the henna in a metal bowl? There's conflicting information on the internet. Please advise. Thanks.
If its actual hair dye absolutely do not mix it in a metal bowl. Henna should be fine as it's natural and not chemical.

You mentioned that the brun henna has indigo. Pardon me, but doesn't indigo have PPD?
Indio is a dried plant powder whereas PPD is a chemical found in cheap quality “black” henna.
