@@kennystarfighter9899 the way I understand it, with the switch to core hearthstone has an opportunity to revert some of the power creep that's happened over the past few years. Going back to hearthstone that's balanced, more accessible, and much more classic hearthstone than the last couple expansions.
@@Gahnt999 @Diego.Rou It's important to realize the star ratings are based on how powerful they will be in the upcoming meta, not how powerful they are in general. This set is much much less powerful than they have been in the past few years. Where Kenny and I disagree though is I think that's a good thing!

I like how you rate cards in a package instead of rating them one by one and taking 10 minute on each card like Regis did. It really saves time and clear things out a lot.
I actually love Regis' discussions personally, and overall really like his reviews. But yeah I really like Trump's reviews too. I've loved Trump's star reviews since I started playing the game in 2017! Will always watch these, even if/when I don't play the game

@@Wilsbourne The 2 reviews cater to different things. So yeah. Some people will prefer one over the other, while others like both.
there's a downside to this as well, when Trump lumps card together that might end up serving different purposes in different decks. there's a few cards in here that I could see working in a different archetype that Trump rated them as. like at the very beginning, I think Tuskpiercer is better on its own than with the deathrattle cards from Barrens. you could play Tuskpiercer in a value/control deck to tutor out something like a Taelon Fordring, a Death's Head Cultist or an Explosive Sheep
@@SerAlexandr he is just too concerned with having his vids out the fastest that his quality really suffers, and it showed a LOT this expansion; with all the cards rotating out he wasn't taking the time to look at the big picture and what will actually be available, so 90% of his reviews were "if you can use this with X, well X is rotating out, but you get the idea..." It just felt like he was going off a knee-jerk reaction to each card, like Kripp did.

It's pretty fun now you should jump backend especially since they give you a free deck since you haven't played in. A while.

Trump's Ratings are the only one I watch from start to end every expansion.
I've been eagerly waiting for this video. I think yours is the best way to review new cards and I'm honestly surprised more HS youtubers haven't adapted it yet, but they still view the cards mostly one by one.
I love you Trump. Have been watching your content for 7 years now, huge respect for you, your work ethic, your consistency. Amazing.

That last card, the elemental, doesn't work with Celestial Alignment. It will summon a 1-cost minion.
I don’t think it matters at that point in the game since Druid just wants to get alignment off and then win.

Celestial Alignment lowers the cost of all cards to 1.
So Primordial Protector will find any spell in your deck and summon a 1 cost minion.
Or you play primordial protector to draw celestial get a 7 drop then play celestial
The point is to draw celestial alignment so that you can play it. The deck supposedly wins after it casts alignment so running the elemental makes it more likely to be cast at a responsible time
You play it before you cast alignment, and it's still a 1 mana 6/6+"1/3" draw a spell
chat on twitch was super wild, we theorycrafted alot and trump got super salty at chats opinion lol
That's basically always the case and often both ends up being somewhat wrong
Twitch chat consist of the very worst players in this game so that's understandable.

I haven't played HS in half a decade, but I still always watch Trump's card reviews
I love Trump's star ratings and have been watching them for years, whether I had played HS in that time period or not. It doesn't matter how wrong or right they turn out to be and whether I agree with them or not. The man has kept on rating cards and theorycrafting decks so enthusiastically for so long, no matter how wrong he is, or how much people meme about him, and that's something I really respect. I hope he continues on delivering for years to come, and hopefully - just as passionately as he has always been.

I honestly don't. IMO the guy is the most harsh when it comes to ratings, even though in skill, he is basically in the more "noob" side (I'm not saying I'm better at playing HS than him. I'm saying most other HS content creators play better than him).
@@anonymouspokemon4623 that might be true but the fact is I can tolerate trump, it's been years since I've played, and trump keeps me in the loop, I don't know why but I can't watch other streamers, it's just fun when it's with trump.
@@ahmadbarakat3563 I actually don't care if Trump's skillful or not in his HS plays. I'm just annoyed by how he rates things. I like watching his gameplays, but his card reviews are actually my least favorite videos of his.

Never been a fan of cards that summon/pull from your hand as the payoff usually isn't good enough to warrant "losing" a card.
The only exception is Skull of Manari.

I love playing Rouge, but HATE playing against them. Their turns have so many cards its silly.

I feel like Frenzy Warrior is just gonna beat everything until they nerf it. So easy to dmg your frenzy minions in war class, plus they have so many busted cards.
Once every class is tier one we have the shit show that is wild.

@@Scorch428 yeah,it's confusing a little until you get to know the cards better.Once i attacked with the one frenzy/rush minion(i believe its the Diamond version legendary) that deals damage to all minions equal to it's attack when the frenzy gets activated and was expecting to kill a full board of opponents minions just to realize i already used the frenzy

How does Piercing Shot work with Mo'arg Artificer? Will Hunters have an OTK where they play both Mo'args and both Piercings so long as they have ready targets?
Does anyone know if convinction can cast on the same minion more than once? Just thinking any charge minion with double convinction once at 10 mana is a hell of a finisher

Yes but the goal is to play primordial protector and use it’s Battlecry to draw celestial alignment. Then you get a 6/6, a random 7 drop, and next turn you can alignment

For lowdeck Warlock, a powerful combo would be Kanrethad + Envoy Rustwix. Being able to shuffle even 2 sets of primes into a thin deck helps a lot vs decking out while giving you great endgame plays. I feel this might be even better than Jaraxxus because it's much smaller tempo loss.

Just want to note that another combo with Blademaster Samuro is with Ysera the 0 mana +4 +4 is a pretty decent board clear that I might try in my warrior deck

A simple fix to the caravan cards to make them strong enough to be played would be to make they're effects happen at the end of the turn instead of the start of it, some of them would be pretty strong, but its better then all of them being unplayable.

I gotta say I disagree on Sunscale Raptor. Without doing any extra shenanigans, it's still a 1 mana 1/3 beast. The floor is high enough that even if the frenzy rarely goes off, you're not that unhappy about it. And played on turn 1, it's actually kind of difficult for the opponent to block you from getting off your frenzy without committing more resources than they'd like. That's pretty good value out of a one drop.
Trump is the only star reviewer with such bold opinions. Always appreciate his take.
How does “fire your hero power at all enemies” work with other hero powers? Do you deal 16 damage face with hunter?
If you’re up against 8 different heroes with different faces yeah, but that hero power can’t normally target minions so it will probably just hit face once
How do you come up to this conclusion? Hunter's hero power only deal 2 damage, so with reckless apprentice, it would deal 2 damage to enemy minions and face.

I'm loving control warlock ATM and Warlock is one of my least played classes
I feel like Living Seed can potentially be useful in the Celestial alignment deck, after all it turns to 1 mana, draw a 1 mana beast that is now free because of living seeds, it MIGHT work, though still very clucky despite the small synergy there
I think flurry is going to see play in almost every deck aswell. It's just good to slow things down, which is what mage almost always love doing lol
I would say preist's new devouring plague is not bad. Could be good for cleaning up rogue's sneaky 1 health guys or finishing off a single big minion. worth noting that lifesteal healing synergizes with Xyrella

In my opinion I feel like the Clown from Darkmoon Faire works better for the whole taunt handbuff warrior thing because
A: you just get so much more multiplication on the stats, especially when it’s corrupted
B:you are warrior, you are likely to survive long enough to get to clown.
And C: it’s much more of a win condition than Mor’Shan, like a warlock can just cascading a couple morshans or the other class specific clears. But it would be much, much harder for any class to clear three different waves of 15/15 clowns without bankrupting themselves in the process. I mean it’s pretty much the same gameplan as clown Druid.
Devouring Plague: 1 Star (Cinderstorm with Lifesteal basically, which also works with Xyrella)
Condemn: 5 Stars (Not even playable until 5 mana, whereupon it becomes merely bad. Waiting for 10 mana is a joke.)

Trump you keep saying in the mage section that secret mage will be great but most if it's tools are rotating in uldum and it loses it's premier 1-drop secret keeper in the core set. How will it thrive exactly?
Also I think you are underrating the heropower stuff although mordresh might now see play.
