Damaged walls and a worn out stained carpet were just some of the challenges in this makeover but with lots of creative and inexpensive projects that are also easily reversible, it was transformed from a dark and neglected basement into a bright and inspiring creative space where I can experiment and test out new design ideas.

I love the make over! I have a similar basement, the panel is very cool to bring more lighting inti the soace5, the carpet tiles from Ikea great idea!!! I have shopped for tjose, and they can be expensive and are not nice in color and pattern if your on a budget. I forgot about IKEA! The modular furniture us very neat too. Seems like now a days you have to be bersitle in everything you do and have. Looking forward to seeing more of the videos!

Nice. I would add a yellow or beige (similar to the curtain) throw blanket on the furniture, though. You did a nice job making it not look like a basement anymore.

The makeover was interesting....the slim furniture looks nice....but high...$650 for the unit you used.
Floor tiles are definitely a good choice for the look it gives
All in all a great idea.

Z'Nyce London right now we are giving away the ottoman with purchase so the unit she used would cost $525 for all four pieces.

i’m a disabled female veteran and i’m searching for inexpensive ways to make my 1959 home handicap adapted. i’ve begged my VA for years with no help. narrow doors and turn radius are two huge problems. i served post Vietnam and pre 9/11, so i do not qualify for charity organizations like those seen on TV. former Sen. Jeff Sessions was my representative and he was even less useful than the VA. thank you in advance for any ideas.

Loved the back light project! You are very hardworking!! But I think a thrift store furniture would have done a better job in terms of bringing more color character comfort n in lesser/same price! This white furniture looked the most diy-ed in the room! And it’s file cabinet like base made the whole set up look strangely “clinical’! No hate I m one of your oldest viewers and I love your work.. this was just my opinion 💕💕
