What I love about risk of rain 2 is that the items you pick up get equipped to your character and by the end of your run you look ridiculous but also pretty cool, I hope there’s a mod for this that could somewhat implement that feature
Loved all of the syringes stacked up especially after finding a printer
@@mbrickon my best run, I had 174 syringes and 10 sunglasses for 100% crit, with a bunch of other shit, lasted prob like 7 hours lmao

I really do love this game, I've sunk dozens of hours into the beta with friends and at face value, I really don't like what they've done with the item changes. It looks like they've completely thrown out the building aspect of runs and have completely left your build up to RNG, with the only thing you have actual choice in being what stats you want to put your levels into and the slight variety of what used to be the higher quality item shops. I loved the currency/store/options style it had because it took the risk of rain aspects of this game's origins and allowed for much finer tuning and build crafting because you could select which upgrades you wanted to focus. I'd love to hear what you think though wander with actually having the early access available! I'd also love to hear what any viewers think :)
Edit: I see after watching the entire video that there is the smaller item stores still as well, but I'm still confused as to why the change has occurred. I do love the new forging system using items you don't want or need, and I'm loving the new worlds and enemy and boss designs!
This looks much improved from the demo version I played a few months back. The removal of the currencies is huge and they seem to have added a lot more variety to the mod drops. Looking forward to grabbing this one next week.

music sounds dubchestral, Instrumental core is probably the best "band". as for a song Become a Legend is my favourite.
Theres really slow motion and Hans Zimmerman remixs by intramental core

not quite the same but the band Aviators has a lot of songs with a similar sound and would greatly recommend them

RoR2 added scrappers a long time ago to turn chosen items into scrap which is used first at printers, but yea overall less convenience overall. Glad that this game increased the content and fixed some balance issues but removing the item choice from earlier builds still kinda sucks. Like you were saying, it makes you want to not unlock certain items but then if you unlock something for a certain build and it's bad on other builds then you're just stuck with that item in the pool and less options overall.
Idk I liked gatekeeper infinity’s vibe, maybe I’m just bad. I feel as though some character got neufed when adding in more monster types was already going to be against there play style. Pandora feels so bad to play when every skill got an increase in cooldown aaaand they reduced her attack speed. I guess I’ll have to see what the new characters are like when I get them but I think it’s not as good as what infinity was portraying for the game.

The top down Risk of Rain was just a remake of the first Risk of Rain. They updated the graphics, added co-op support, new music, and made it easier to update in the future. It was mainly a nostalgia hit, and nothing big enough to keep it in the news.
Looks meh. Let me know when it comes to mobile it might be worth a look then...just
