Yes! A friend of mine is bilingual and has trouble with certain words but she graduated either a year or 2 years early and is super smart. But she gets her words mixed up and is often like “huh” but shes actually smart. I think Dr. Idriss is bilingual well. I can’t place her accent though, she sounds either French or Spanish.

For those who are interested in seeing the study of the vitamin C derivative Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) being a good choice for acne prone skin, the title is "Sodium ascorbyl phosphate shows in vitro and in vivo efficacy in the prevention and treatment of acne vulgaris", it's a very nice read: they mentioned how it initially had no activity against p. acnes bacteria at the concentration of 0.5%, but when they increased it to 1%, within 4 hours it had a very effective reduction in the p. acnes bacteria, and they even showed a before and after picture of one of their representative subjects who took part in the treatment process.
Thank you Dr. Shereene for making these Let's Get Intimate playlists, it helps me research even further about skincare ingredients as I initially wasn't sure where to start in terms of researching. Your videos give me a foundation of understanding and allows me to explore even further to research regarding the ingredients. I appreciate your help a lot.

But she's wrong in a lot of the things she's saying.
You won't overdose on vitamin C from more than 2000 MCG a day, you can take all the way up to 10000 MCG a day without overdosing, The first sign of overdosing is diarrhoea and I haven't experienced it yet even thou I eat 2000 MCG in the morning + with every meal I eat, so I consume between 6000 and 8000 MCG vitamin C every single day and it has done wonders for me.
This is a +1 hour video review on different vitamin C studies, but specifically my argument about taking vitamin C with every meal or 4-6 times daily, look at 2:20 in the video:
      ua-cam.com/video/zfJQTyOklnE/v-deo.html
You should listen to the whole video thou, it's free gold and diamonds packed in a 1 hour video.
Also check out her and her research crews website, they have 30 pages of vitamin C highlights from almost 200 scientific references.

The vanicream vitamin c has the tetrahex one you like, plus it's $18. It only has 5% in it, but my super sensitive post menopausal skin loves the 5%. Vanicream is the only vitamin c I've found that I can tolerate daily. I've tried 10%, and my skin was red, dry, and irritated after using it several days.

Thanks for mentioning vitamin C on sensitive skin since I’ve been using it every morning and once in a while I’ll use it twice a day, and I just found out the Timeless 20% vitamin C E ferulic serum is actually too high strength for me. I watched another video where vitamin C around 20% and 25% isn’t well-tolerated so vitamin C at 15% tends to be the best (providing best antioxidant properties while having lowest sensitivity/inflammation so highest tolerance for all skin types). So if anyone is experiencing redness/inflammation/irritation/flaky skin from vitamin C, definitely try to get 15% vitamin C. The super pricey Skinceuticals vitamin CE ferulic serum is formulated with 15% vitamin C.
Edit: Please talk about vitamin E/tocopherol and vitamin B5/pantothenic acid! I love the La Roche Posay cicaplast baume b5 and would love to know the science behind B5 products.

I was aware that vitamin C and copper are inversely proportional to each other. I had copper poisoning from my copper IUD (Paragard) and I was researching natural remedies because I was sick and having trouble finding someone to remove it for me. I started taking a very high dose of vitamin C pills and I did experience some relief from my symptoms. Ladies, I hope this helps even one person. If you have a copper IUD and you're not feeling right, it's not in your head and you're not crazy, even if you've begun to think you are.

I follow another Dermatologist here on UA-cam and she always says the Vita C is a gimmick. Says that there is barely any studies that show skin benefits from Vita C and doesn’t understand why people are obsessed with it. And says that if it isn’t Ascorbic Acid or L-Ascorbic Acid, then it’s useless.
    I’m dumbfounded lol.

@@danaso2567 No it’s not Dr. Dray. I don’t even remember the woman’s name now. It was a small channel and I had only been subbed for a few months. I unsubbed the next day after this video because this person did a video “Debunking the Myth of Vitamin C” and was pretty much shitting on Dr. Dray, Dr. Idriss, and Canssandra Bankson. She wouldn’t say their names but it was obvious who she was talking about by the videos they had done that week. People were questioning whether she was really a doctor and she was arguing with people in the comments. It was a lot of drama, and what I assume was trolling, so I dipped out.
I will try to find the channel again and put the channel name in another comment but no, I love Dr. Dray.

my grandma taught me about skincare (mainly vitamin c and retinol). she told me, when i was a teenager, that if i started using vitamin c in the mornings and retinol at night, i would stay looking like a teen until i had teens (lol). i'm old old now (let's just say i remember the 90s and 80s well enough), and people still think i'm 19/20 years old. take care of your skin, drink water, and wear sunscreen.

Funny that because we didn't have topical vit C in the 80s and 90s so I would love to know where grandma found out about those ingredients..Vit A or Retin A was available in the mid-90s but by prescription only...there were only just studies noting effectiveness on ant ageing it was mainly used for Acne.
I'm sure she taught you good skincare and importance of skincare though

No offence but I don't agree but look it up of course vitamins were around but not in topical form like cream and serums
Brand name Retin A was used during the 80s only by people with bad acne and could only be bought by prescription papers came out in the late 70s by doctors that could see it was beneficial to keep skin youthful but it wasn't readily available to the public.
As to vitamin C being used on the face in the 1940s!! no way I don't believe you in those days all you had were Ponds cold cream and Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein if your grandma was using it then she well... a real rarity!
There are study papers... and Vit C used on the face has not been around that long
I have no doubt people mixed up concoctions but there was no Vit C on the shelves of Walmart and in chemists like there is now...I remember in the mid 90 that Avon of all people came out with topical vit C in little capsules that could be used to brighten the face...they were one of the first cosmetic companies to use it although not sure of how stable it was.
But look I don't want to argue with you perhaps Dr Idress will know the years that cosmetic companies first started using the ingredients mainstream.

Concerning Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, I’m currently using one of Medik8 vitamin C serums (C-Tetra) that uses exactly this version of vitamin C, but is relatively cheap compared to the products you mentioned (49€). Do you know the product? Would you say it’s not very good quality, or the low price is a hint to the fact that the concentration is too low?
