  • In this video I will show you how to use a cheap metal coat hanger to remove a golf pride tour velvet 360 golf grip from a steel shafted golf club with only a few simple tools. golf grips are expensive and recycling them can be very useful and cost effective. All you need is the following tools.
    - workbench
    - vice
    - vice clamp for golf or a homemade one like I use and show you how to make in another video
    - white spirits
    - 50-100ml plastic syringe (no needle) available on eBay
    - old towels for any mess
    - cheap Metal coat hanger from a dry cleaners or laundry services shop

Thank you so much for the advice
Removed one of my favourite grips and refitted the same grip but with 4 extra layers of tape. Now i have a midsize grip to match my other clubs.

The heavier the wire, the less it bends. I use a piece of bailing wire and lighter fluid. Did a video similar to yours several months ago. No music, no editing. 130,000 views. Crazy!

Great idea! Broke my 4 wood and just had a new jumbo grip installed. So I’ll save it for my next one. Thanks for the tip!😊

I appreciate the video. Very helpful advice for those of us that would like to do some of the work ourselves, but don't want to buy a bunch of specialized equipment. I am going to give this a try tonight.
