Sweet bikes, nice job! Nylon cam gear and glue and screw flywheel are a deal breaker for me. You can get a ducar 212 with an intake and header exhaust upgrade for what you would pay for a ghost motor. You also get an aluminum flywheel rated to 10,000 rpm, adjustable jets on carb, stronger more reinforced crank case, and more torque and horsepower out the box, or get a wildcat 223 and a billet flywheel, both are better than going the predator route, and cost less and out perform the ghost, with a bigger bang for our buck...plus, its not a predator.
You can just buy a 224 pred it's a ducar reinforced block with wildcat 223 crank with ducar carb only have to change the nylon cam to a 252 or 275 and flywheel to a pvl or billet and my 224 smokes my neighbors ghost.
Valve float is sputtering or cutting on and off at high RPM . Engines that reach the limit with no float will be at max RPM and stay there with no drama. They will simply not rev anymore. @Black66 love the testing methodology on your vids! Im new to the mini bike sean and picked up the Predator 212 if I remove the govener but no other upgrades should I/ do I really need to change the rod and the flywheel?
This does not seem accurate at all. It shows the HF accessory kit and accounts for it in cost but dosent use it at all. Im curious about using the actual curved long runner intake thats in the accessory kit and their header. This is only good for longblock to longblock comparison. plus the price would vary much more also considering time put into the 212 plus shipping costs. labor is not cheap. your looking at 750$ plus realistically for the 212 build compared to an out the box engine.
Remember, the prices on these engines don't always stay the same . That being said, even if the standard Predator comes out to a little more IMO I still think a billet Predator is a much better value. The Ghost is good but it has a cast rod and flywheel with a glued on magnet that should be changed out for safety. At least the flywheel.

If the hemi does make more power it's not enough to notice without a stop watch or a dyno. The non hemi is easier for a guy who doesn't have machine tools in his garage to work with than the hemi. With a non hemi you don't even have to think or measure anything to get more compression and use a high lift cam. You can't do that with a hemi. Hell with speed, what kinda gas mileage you get with two guys on?
Hey man can you help me out in the ghost owners Manuel it says I'm supposed to use 91 gas but my local gas station doesn't have 91 gas is 91 and 93 the same?. Or do I just use 87?? Help me out bro 😅
Is it easier to put a 212 predator in a mototec 105cc or coleman rb100? or does it not matter? the mototec 105cc seems to be a better built mini bike but colemans seem more "user/mode friendly"
I really don't think it matters much. Both would be pretty easy to do. I think its boils down to personal preference.
I got 53 mph 12 t clutch 65 t rear sprocket 212 pred, non hemi 18 lb valve springs billt, rod - arc flywheel 26 mm vm22 115 jet lil lean gonna try 125main n go down to 25 pilot instead 35 cause turn air screw no change with 25 pilot idle rises n falls how you tell it's rughty
You have to remember also the ghost is more user friendly for beginners just slap it on and go. The predator 212 you need all those tools and parts and know how. I think the ghost caters more to that. And the fact it's a stronger engine.
Yes it does have a stronger block but cast rod and flywheel.
@Black66 holy crap you responded that's awesome. I'm doing my first by myself fully built billet 212 and I'm excited and nervous. What's a at home method for doing the valve springs I don't have that big thing you have.
How do you know which chain to buy?
I usually use RLV gold on gold or gold on black and then cut it to size with the chain breaker.
Thanks
Must be nice man....I live in Philly u leave ur door open and a bike rite next to it by the time ur back both gone!!! LOL
Where can I find frames like you have ❓❓
GPS or gokartsusa.com
@@Black66 thank you. 👍🏻
I’ve hit 47.6 mph on the stock Coleman 3hp ohv I am a light rider at only 125 pounds if I did this upgrade hopefully could hit 60 -70
You have not hit 47.6 on a stock Coleman 3hp💀 that’s got to be modded going that speed

Where can I buy bikes like this?
Are they reliable engines?
Can that ghost fit on a Trailmaster Storm?
Does a header pipe actually increase your speed? And so by how much
An engine like these will only go soo fast. The header should increase acceleration at best. But as far as "speed". Not so much.
Witch one is better
If you have a stock 212 sitting around it's worth getting ghost and use in ur tank and exhaust on it then just buy air cleaner for the junk pz22 carb lol
Check out the ghost playlist. I have tried a few different carbs on the Ghost. ua-cam.com/video/Ruc42N2GBzQ/v-deo.html
@Black66 love the testing methodology on your vids! Im new to the mini bike sean and picked up the Predator 212 if I remove the govener but no other upgrades should I/ do I really need to change the rod and the flywheel?
Upgrade the internal and ad external later, That way the internal doesn’t bust while you got it at high rpm’s
I still think I'd build the hemi predator insted of the goast.
Ghost still a hemi
What is the best cam I can get for my 212cc hemi pls help
Nice vid👍🏻
This does not seem accurate at all. It shows the HF accessory kit and accounts for it in cost but dosent use it at all. Im curious about using the actual curved long runner intake thats in the accessory kit and their header. This is only good for longblock to longblock comparison. plus the price would vary much more also considering time put into the 212 plus shipping costs. labor is not cheap. your looking at 750$ plus realistically for the 212 build compared to an out the box engine.
Check out the Ghost playlist! ua-cam.com/video/ONJbFaEecQM/v-deo.html
Standard predator engines are going for $150? Where’d you get your pricing my guy 😂😂
Nice!
New sub here👍
Thanks! Check out the playlist !
@@Black66 Haha!!!
Cool channel man. I'm looking into starting another channel. The one I have isn't anything really interesting. Anyways, my cousin's have raced go-karts their whole lives! My Uncle has a shop on his land here in Georgia and builds their karts for them. My oldest cousin has won the WKA Championship a few years ago (can't remember what class off the top of my head) and several trophies over the years. I didn't get into karting until my late 30's. My only claim to fame is that I've raced on Daytona International Speedway. I came in 12th place, but finished the race! That being said, I'm glad I ran across your channel. Looking into building a minibike here soon myself. Thanks for looking out and providing awesome content!
Take Care
😎✌️💯
How would the 420 compare?
What valve springs do you have in the regular predator that you’re hitting 7800 rpm?
That's a good question. The 252 cam calls for 22 pound springs so my guess is that's what he's using.
@@Deucealive75 I was under the impression the ghost comes with 22 lbs valve springs. So for the ghost to be floating valves at 6600rpm, and the regular 212 to be hitting 7800 rpm seemed strange to me 🤔
@@jaimahja I don't think anyone has verified what springs are in the Ghost. 22's shouldn't float that soon. And is the Ghost cam's lobe profile the same as the 252 Rattlesnake? I don't think anyone has verified that.
Another thing besides valve float is the carbs. He said PZ22. I thought the Ghost came with a PZ20? A VM22 mikuni would out perform that carb and may be the difference in the 0-30.
@@Deucealive75 ghost has the PZ22 and a 252 cam. Could they possibly have not put 22lb springs In the ghost? The forum doesn’t give spring weight just dimensions of the springs.
@@jaimahja Not sure but I asked this in black66 other Ghost video and a guy responded saying the Ghost has 22's.
And still with them lighter frames you should be alot faster than 60 mph at top speed
The bikes were set up in this video to reach max RPM to compare the two engines. Not all out top speed. Here are a couple videos with more top speed on the same bikes. ua-cam.com/video/8wVMdDTutPQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/enNTiAUEz28/v-deo.html
Ekselent job...
What will be your choice between predator or duramax if you put 20 lb Springs and Chinese makuni?
Thanks
What’s the fix for floating valves?
I'll throw some heavier springs in it and try it again.
Yes sir I’m on it thank you
or a Ec Carbs 223 wildcat stage oned hmmmmm decisions decisions
The Wildcat is sweet because it has a 58MM stroke!
@@Black66 so since i already have the ducar go wit the 223 but im hearing the top is only good for a paper weight
@@Black66 if there was a 223 in one hand and a tilly estart both staged oned i mean what would make me be like oh shiiiit lol mind u i only drove a ducar my whole life this is all new to me still Mr Black
@@SpACeCruizeR2o3 You wont go wrong with either one. If you are truly tired of pulling the rope than the e-start is good. It already comes with a decent flywheel but if want to upgrade later You can get a billet rod and flywheel for the e-start . Quite a few different Cams are simple to drop in. They make good power. You need a battery for the e-start. The 223 is good to but your gonna have to pull the rope. You can mod it to get really good power. Sometimes it's a little more involved as far as clearancing stuff for the 58mm stroke when modding.
Ok great thanks for all your testings 💪🏼💯💨💨💨@Black66
How you pay 500$ for a 212cc predator motor I only payed 260$
I had to add a billet flywheel and an after-market coil to the ghost to get rid of the rev limiter .
@@Black66 still I only payed 263$ for my predator motor removed the Governor from the motor and added a torque unit and muffler I haven't touched nothing else in the motor and it tops out at 60 mph....you changed the carburetor on it the fly wheel on it and for some reason it's not getting any faster than mine
@@Black66 you should be topping out at 70 to 80 mph with all the upgrades you've been adding
@@babyboy3972 Elevation is a big factor in the way A bike runs as far as jetting and speed.

What is a 'short tyre' he refers to??
Where can I buy this?
What mm air filter
I did 65 on a Coleman ex stock
The Ghost is a bad buy if you’re not spec racing.
I think Harbor Freight would even tell you that.
You can do even better on the price if you can find a good used predator and buy a parts package from the usual suspects.
When u buy the engine u have to approve that you are buying a kart class racing engine not a street legal engine
Does the 212 hemi make more hp? If so why does anyone buy the non hemi?
If the hemi does make more power it's not enough to notice without a stop watch or a dyno. The non hemi is easier for a guy who doesn't have machine tools in his garage to work with than the hemi. With a non hemi you don't even have to think or measure anything to get more compression and use a high lift cam. You can't do that with a hemi.
Some guys have removed the hemi head and put on a non hemi head and thin head gasket for a bump in compression and more power than with the hemi head.
