There are a lot of monitors on stage, but as soon as you move away from them and at the same time you don't have IEM, the brain has to calculate the delay over a distance of 17 m. And this great experienced singer can do it. Please do not forget that ABBA worked the most at a time when microport / 1980 / was a novelty and IEM did not exist for a long time.

I think this is Gary's finest achievement ...... persuading Agnetha back into the recording studio and back onto the live stage where she looks so happy. Never thought it would happen again.
Well, this was for a BBC charity event for kids...in 2014. a couple years before the 50th anniversary of when Bjorn and Benny first met, in 2016. I think the decision to record again happened after the 2016 anniversary.
Agnetha is now 73 years old since 5-4-1950 she was born in Jonkoping Sweden…. As well depends what year that song came out too and way I even ❤❤❤ it myself as I was also a ABBA fan in my early teens (I became a true ABBA fan when I was around 13-14 years of age)… so my favorite singers of ABBA were Bjorn and Agnetha!!! yes my sentiments entirely yes she is superlative in own right. Agnetha did admit in loose women interview in 2013 when she came to England that she went for singing lessons again. I was surprised why would she need vocal training again after year of experience her last album was in 2004 and until 2013 when she recorded the duet with Gary Barlow she felt she need to retune her vocal I would imagine,

A lot of this performance is playback unfortunately but there are sections that she sings live. It's very recognisable but even so, it is still beautiful to hear her sing live again!

The opening line he sang couldn't have been more perfect and fitting for a legend who has been out of the spotlight for so many years. The minute she began singing, there was no mistaking that voice. The opening line he sang couldn't have been more perfect and fitting for a legend who has been out of the spotlight for so many years. The minute she began singing, there was no mistaking that voice. Still beautiful.
Glad you said that "catchme". I so agree. Many of the comments are about Agnetha (and, yes, her performance was incredible, magical...I've always been a huge ABBA fan). But I don't believe her performance here could possibly have been a better match with any other singer. I'm just learning about Gary, and he seems to me to be the best male musical talent out of the UK in my time. WOW!

Yes I think that what stood out to me…Gary Barlow was genuinely honoured to be singing with the beautiful Agnetha. She still radiates that beautiful quality she had years ago. No wonder this duet worked so well…the respect and admiration they have for each other was genuine and they obviously enjoyed performing together.
