After more than 40 years and people sings his songs. God Bless Barry.
Barry invented everything and the new generations pay him a totally deserved tribute
Love that Barlow and Williams paid due respect to the master here. Barry Manilow wrote this song, he's a giant and without doubt one of the greatest composer/performers of the 20th century. And he has never lost the Manilow Magic!
Amen to that!
Funny: Barry wrote this epic ballad, but the first recorded version by Tony Orlando was in a pop style, much more similar to what Take That did with it...
@@permafrost0979 Wow, I didn't know that, I took it for granted his was the original recording. I must check out the Orlando version. Thanks for the info, I learned something new today!
@@permafrost0979 creo que tambien la canto Frank Sinatra
@@glamdolly30 Take That did a version too and had their first hit.
Not only do I love this but I also love to see Robbie and Garry having made peace and clearly enjoying performing with eachother.
Manlow's voice, even at that age, is just sensational. Barlow and Williams can sing, no doubt, but Manilow is in a class of his own.
Manilow the greit.
Barlow and Williams introduced Barry to a whole new generation, as evidenced by the audience singing at the tops of their lungs! The respect they paid him was awesome.
Agree .I prefer him from the other two .more emotion I feel it's more raw from Barry .not that I think any less than Robbie and Garry just my preference
dead man walking 😆
When my wife passed, I was told I would have her memories ! I still have all her albums of him !!
I was sad to hear about your wife I lost my husband twelve years ago miss him every minute of the day
@@susanleonard945 It's a new phase of our lives when we lose a spouse. One that we are not prepared for . She was a big fan of his. We saw him in concert in the early eighties in Florida. I hear that he still goes on tour. Good for him .
@@bradart7289Hope you are doing OK. Smile when you think of her.
You British people really know how to organize a telethon! Amazing performance! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the love and support
Where are you from and how long you’ve been a fan
@@barrymanilow5800 I've been a fan since 1978 and didn't understand English. I was 10 and really liked your music. I am Mexican and I live in Mexico City.
I want you to write me a letter thru
I love his blushing "Oh, stop that!" when Rob and Gary salute him
I was there in the audience that night - it was amazing! I was just about getting used to the fact I was watching the absolute Legend that is Barry Manilow perform....then suddenly the boys appeared at the top of the stairs and I just lost it (and as you can hear, so did the whole audience too)! Baz + Gaz + Rob = fangirling of EPIC proportions! I was one very happy bunny that night! ;)
You lucky bugger!
Such a lucky girl
Weirdos
A very lucky person to witness the performance. I envy you.

Barry’s voice is inconfundible. So crystal clear with an amazing diaphragm control. It is simply beautiful.

Sweet
it reallly has matured but still humble pie kind of guy in it
wow, what a performance and love how Robbie and Gary show so much respect to Barry. True class for a memorable performance!
I grew up with Barry and I can tell you, he is one of the greatest pop artistes ever. I just cannot think of anyone who will reach his musical heights. And a very, very nice guy to boot!! Long live BM!!
I’ve seen Barry multiple times in concert and he’s a legend and no one is even close to his caliber
Agree 100 %

for the Americans watching... Robbie and Gary were both in the boy band "Take That" popular in the early 90s.
I just covered them on youtube a couple years ago and I really love this group. James corden had a late night show which I loved. I didn't stay up there often but one night I was rewarded with seeing them as guests on his show I think they did carpool karaoke which was one of my favorite bits. I've heard the lot of people don't like him for whatever reason People seem to need somebody to dump on. I really don't need to know all these things about people. In any case I really believe that he had them on and I enjoyed it so much. I know very few people who are familiar with them. But if I get a chance I always tell people they should check them out. They are very talented and they have a great sense of humor.
I meant I just discovered them on youtube a couple years ago.
I have saw Barry Four time in concert here in the UK: Honestly, he is one of the best performers of all time.
I've seen him 10 times, he never disappoints! Last time I treated myself and my daughters to front row center!!
Love how the audience joins in with Barry and it sounds great together!
absolutely agree with you---I love it when the crowd becomes part of something epic.
Barry Manilow Is The Mentor Of: Dona Summer (RIP), Robbies Williams And Take That. It's Could Be Magic.

Starsthunder1 Barry is a brilliant singer
Who are these guys ???
It wouldn't be on BBC America as it's children in need. the time difference wouldn't work as you need to pledge money in real time

Barry is clearly still the best performer on stage and outshines the others easily! He’s barely changed from his incredible concerts I used to go to in the ‘90s. Love him!! ❤️❤️
Sam Jones Wait - there are JLo and Beyoncé, to name a few powerful women...
Ines De La Hoya they’re not even in Barry’s league!!!🎹🎤

It's wonderful to see how beloved Barry is in the UK! 🤩
Barry was thrilled that the audience still love him. And the lads were great too. Pity Frederic Chopin and Donna Summer weren't still with us! Can you imagine?
Donna Summer is welcome breathing normally...

It's amazing how Barry's voice still sounds the same as it was back in the 70's!
yes!I agree!!!
Will Butter you must be joking. he sounds terrible.
Allan Armstrong Try singing like THAT when you're over 70.
Steven Gorrell he didnt say he wanted to sing it. He just said it sounds terrible, look at the original comment
Not sure what you can hear. He sounds aged to me. Good for his age still, but not as good tone as his younger years.
Barry - still an amazing voice , lyrics , and legacy of music .
Three of the best all time entertainers EVER !
without robbie would be great

@Louise Mcilwaine Chill out Mcilwaine
It's wonderfull tô Unit Gary and mas Ronnie. You are a WONDERFULL TRIO.
Marie (Bresil)
I grew up in the 80s hearing the Manilow version first, but I was a little kid so I never paid attention to the emotional depth of the song, it was just a tune in the background of my life. So as a teen in the 90s, I heard the Take That version and was just very aware that it was a remake (I'd never heard the Donna Summers disco version, that says a lot about what my parents were listening to lol). Being in my 30s now, the Manilow version is just pulling tears out my eyes, but the Take That version brings back fun, happy memories. The Tony Orlando version is also good; and I think that's the mark of an well-written song: it works in any genre you play it in.
I’m lucky to have a wife that’s always loved Manilow plus we live in Vegas and catch his performance regularly. He’s an amazing entertainer even given his age.
