you ain't neva lied about the colleagues. I remember having a twisted ankle and the doctors kept me in the hospital for two hours about blood pressure and never addressed my ankle until I got frustrated and started complaining about what they were doing. They spent about 20 on my ankle after spending 2 hrs there. So yes, people would rather just not go instead of going and being criticized or bullied about weight or blood pressure. Anyway....this was a GREAT video! Thank you for being so relatable.
I definitely have white coat syndrome. Every time I go to the doctor my BP is out the roof. But, when I’m home it’s normal I do keep a log weekly. I’m currently on BP medication and working to get off. This video was very helpful. Thank you

I know you are correct. I've struggled with HBP for a long time and I lost over 150 lbs trying to avoid further problems from HBP. I changed my lifestyle and cut out excessive sodium, sugar, fried foods and sodas. I worked out like a monster 2 x/day 7 days a week and my blood pressure only went up.
I can relate to you. I have lost tons tons tons tons of weight. From being 239 to 157 but my anxiety has gotten on the way. If I had my anxiety in control I would be the healthiest person! Please Lord help me!
HI! im in my 30's doing same routine as yours. Running in the morning, Gym right after work. Preppin up my meal, real clean. Just giving myself some Telmisartan which i got from Nextchems, my BP is stable. Thought might help.
@@markomacci6559 Awesome you guys, I was over 300 lbs so looked like a pink strawberry cause I'm short too, 5'2". I gave up the pig cause he was a terrible boyfriend but he had an awesome dick to my taste buds but joker was trying to kill me. It's still a rollercoaster ride with my BP but I'm more stable now. I just personally am trying to kick my food addictions. I just keep grinding and never give up. Defeat is not an option until I'm dead.💪🏽
Dr Frita , I just got notified of my CKD stage 3 a. I'm a nurse and realized how little I knew about nephrology. While waiting on my first nephrologist appointment, I watched your videos and learned so much. My physician sent me to a Kidney Smart class I really felt it helped me understand the daily living with kidney disease. One thing I wish you would talk about is HYPERPARATHYROIDISM
Dr, Frita, you are absolutely amazing! I have been a subscriber for almost a year and you really know what you're talking about. People who have high blood pressure need to change their lifestyle in order to get and stay healthy. I changed and I feel so much better. Behavior modification was very helpful because I eventually changed my habits to attain a healthy lifestyle. This video was so great that I just shared it with my family. Love you, Dr. Frita, you're awesome:):):)
I have had 130/80 since I was 14 years old and I am 40 years old now and I feel ok at that pressure but of course 120/75 or about those numbers might be better for me. But I think my blood pressure is related to stress levels and anxiety and panic disorder.
Hello Dr. Frida, Thank You for the information you provide on bp and kidney disease. Does the smell of ammonia in the urine some times mean a person may have some problem with their kidneys?
Hi Dr. Frita. Enjoy your platform of medicine. I have one thing to add to your list: Being an older female in the gym. While watching a long succession of tv's, on the heart monitor noticed an alarming correlation. I adverted my eyes during a commercial towards another tv show. That show was action packed and very emotionally intense. My Bp and heart monitor went up so high, that it scared me. To prove it was the tv show, I switched back to the previous screen to find that both Bp and heartbeat returned to normal. I'm just saying, we don't have to actually be in a stressful situation-ship to affect the Bp and heart rate. Beware of certain tv, movie or a spectator of escalating events can send both of these through the roof. My question then becomes; can this be a causative factor of arthythmia or attack? Though it isn't the disease?
Thank you Dr. Frita!!! My cardiologist just started me on 2.5mg of bp medication. I believe my high blood pressure is due to stress and lack of exercise. Considering I make improvements in these two area, is it possible to eventually come off of the medication?
My panic disorder keeps my blood pressure in the roof. My heart is accelerated and it goes fast. So I try to eat alot of fruits and vegetables increase my magnesium and potassium intake
My problem as a person diagnosed with both leukemia -CLL additionally as a result of medication kidneys have been affected. My blood pressure is usually at the lower level of normal, with systolic #s anywhere from 110 to lows of into the 80s. How do I raise my BP levels. I've passed out a couple times due to a sudden drop. Most things I find that might be good for my diagnosis add the caviat that it's good to lower BP - that's my dilemma.
