you prolly dont care but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?

@@mohammadcastiel3901 there's no forgot password feature?
I concur
More amazing work folks. Still can’t get over how cinematic your work on Silent Eye is. Not only that, but central to the story. I love that message that you push, story, characters and themes should be at the forefront. Make it look pretty afterwards. But even then, no matter the format, the gear used, the look should inform those three things first: story, character, theme. Love it.
I binge watch videos and this one is by far the most informative and useful one I've seen in a long time. Great Job
Excellent! Just a thought - for anyone starting out in a film career - if you want to bend your brain to film quality in a short time, try deliberately shooting anything using your STILL camera set to f8 for a day or two. Thirty or forty carefully considered shots - all at f8 - over a single day or two is all you need (inside and outside, in natural and artificial light). Then, when you have them in front of you do a Slug Line for each picture (a scene inside (INT.), outside (EXT.), it's location, and time of day. That helps your brain to think in scenes. So, it helps not only with film 'look' but also with film 'brain'. If the exercise helps, repeat it if you can at f5.6. That exercise alone will take you well into the craft of real world cinematography. I was a DOP and cinematographer on features and also taught film and TV at university undergraduate and post graduate levels and this exercise had the biggest effect in the shortest time on people setting out in the industry - not only for cinematographers, but also for directors and writers. It addresses technology, light, look, and scene. It sounds simple but you will have to solve many problems to make the exercise work. That is why it is so good. Try it!
Does this work if I use my cell phone
well, well, well...what an amazing channel I found. Great content, very knowledgeable and very soothing voice...

I’ve never learned so much about phone film making as I’ve learned in this video. Thank u so much for sharing such valuable information. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks again, Simon! Brilliant work you create. ☮️
This is so weird only yesterday I was looking at one of your old videos regarding this and trying to remember which settings to adjust for the film look and low and behold this pops up today thank you for a very well made and condensed video
Ah synchronicity :)

1906. That is when the first ever feature film was shown in a theatre. It was the first multi-reel, feature-length film ever produced in the world. An Australian film called The Story Of The Kelly Gang. A full 6 years before the first feature films were produced and screened in America.
Thanks buddy!
Such a good video. I am so glad you put so much into a single video that can be used as a reference. Didn't see you use any of the latest anamorphic lenses, perhaps that is in the making. Also do you ever shoot in HDR plus or Dolby?
hey thanks! I actually already made a video about 4 different anamorphic lenses. I used Moondog Labs anamorphic in 2 of my Silent Eye episodes. ua-cam.com/video/OXujcCm_po0/v-deo.html
The clip at 12:37 looks like something out of Parasite. Stunning. Highly informative as always. : )

Very interesting and a lot of valuable content information. I'm going to try and see your project on Netflix. Thanks again!
Thank you! Actually its on Amazon Prime. Available in USA, UK and Germany

Excellent presentation.Well done. If somebody has to learn something about professional filming and or film pro that's the right channel. Not good, better, best or excellent but awesome channel and videos, techniques told and voice narration/explanation is super awesome, love the voice. Awesome videography, highly recommend this channel to all, so subscribe to this channel.
Film has a certain texture in it. Organic looking color. Anyway, in the end, all it matters is how you engage the audience. The content is most important.
Thank you
Very nice.
Good content
I wonder if you can use the Google Pixel's "cinematic mode" with Filmic Pro?
Great!
For someone like myself who is a total novice at this, it's a little complicated 😂 practice!
This is awesome! I have made 2 movies for our church using just my iPhone and filmicpro app and KineMaster. This tie, some scenes have really annoying background noises, what is your best app to denoise the video? Again, I need an app for iPhone. Thanks so much!
Very good tips but too late 🥴 i pre ordered the fx6 😅 but very good stuff 💪🏼🎬 best cinematic greetings from an old german filmmaker
Perfect tutorial 🔥🔥🔥
Are these features available with the basic version of Filmic. Nice video, thanks.
can you make a video about which gamut to use with which log profile? suppose, do we have to use s-gamut for mS-log profiles or we can use sRGB/Rec709?
Your videos are very informative. Question: are music scores public domain or are they copyright protected? I'm extremely new at film making and this was on my mind.
thank you! most music is owned by someone, but there are some recorded tracks in the public domain. Usually very old ones (like 1920s)
I will be going to California for a holiday, what Filter do you recommend to use during the trip?
Thanks for this video and all the work you do. They are all very informative! I have Filmic Pro (paid for the upgrades too) on my iPhone 12 pro max, should I look into McPro24fps or is it unnecessary for me?
thank you! McPro24fps is currently Android only at the moment
thanks
Hello, I filmed the sights of Iran. I am happy in Yazd province.
Just bought the tool- looking forward to running around pretending to be a min-film maker. Thanks for the great tutorial-

Hello, I filmed the sights of Iran. I am happy in Yazd province.
With the right lighting you can make any camera look good.
But you cant get the same DR using a cellphones log, compared to something like bmpcc6k Braw.
My last video was fully done by mobile I am satisfied with my work
What bitrate and codec do you record and render on for these?
I have s9 plus and used pro camera and cinema 4k with bitrate of 100mbps and in 1080 i still have too much noise...
Do you apply denoiseing or softening in post?
When shooting on 24fps (samsung s9+ again in video pro and shutter in 1/48) video seems a bit stutter. So id go for safe 30 and 1/60 setting
So is 4x3 using the whole sensor and you can crop it vertical or horizontal keeping the full pixels
Buen video.👋👋👋👍
Finally, someone's MCPro24fps settings.. 😂
:)) it's worth investing some extra time in the app, I'd say
Subbed...👍🏼
Awesome thank you!
Omg! I think this is just to advance for me 😂

Can this run Sync Bluetooth time code with UltraSyncBlueSlate? Also I’m getting a Delay when Recording. Ipadpro 2020 User.
Great job as always. If you can, could you please talk about your process of coming up with the script and story line for "Silent Eye". I get the technical side of filming, but is hard to develop a good story to film. Any help would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
thank you! I made a long video here talking about how I write scripts: ua-cam.com/video/dFjRvo6yawA/v-deo.html
Can i do something in post production regarding frame rate? Huawei P30 phone only supports 30fps, 60fps. Aiming for that cinematic look...I am stuck with the phone until end of 2021.
Hi, how did you get that noiseless images?
I am going to try it but I have been downgraded my phone two months ago. I doubted it will work like S9.
Moment pro? Tutorial please!!!
Hi. Thanks for the great tutorials! When I shot 24 fps, shutter at 1/48 and the other settings you advise in Filmic Pro the shot is jittery when I pan. Especially vertical lines. I use a iphone 12pro. The problem is not there when I shot in 60 fps. Have you had the same problem and found a solution?
don't pan ;)
So i got the shutter speed down, but how do i know which iso to use? Or do i have to use a different iso for day and night?
try to keep ISO as low as possible
Quick question: Can you use the sliders below the Tone Mapping selection. Can you use these for dialing in the highlights and shadows? I feel like no one really touches on these at all. Just to select Log or Flat... I was playing with these the other day and noticed I could remove the over exposed and under exposed clipping on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I’m a novice just starting out.
sure, why not? I mean, we can get extra detail in the shadows just by shooting on the normal settings and reducing contrast in post
@@SiHorrocks it’s just weird no one has touched on the use (not that I’ve seen) of the sliders below the tone maps.
@Mobile Motion, is there an équivalément app on Android to Luma Fusion that you would recommend ?
what do you think of VN? ua-cam.com/video/Gp_XHj68z4A/v-deo.html
I've yet to find an Android that Filmic Pro works on. I only have it on my iPhone.
Hey dude - 180 degree rule is something else (crossing the line). High dynamic range (12 stops + of latitude) and frame rate are really the 2 main things that create a cinematic look. Even ratio isn't as important in terms of look. Anyway, Happy New Year!
there's 2 x 180 degree rules, one for camera angle, one for shutter angle (speed) www.polarprofilters.com/blogs/polarpro/how-shutter-speed-affects-video
what phone would you recommend for flims, apple pro max or Samsung galaxy s21 ultra? thanks for the answser
Not much in it. New iPhone 12 has Dolby Vision, but downside is tone mapping can't be disabled. Either phone will produce stunning video
Hello, I'm just starting to shoot in Filicpro and MacPro24 FPS,and during the day at 1/50 exposure and ISO44 Everything is illuminated and overexposed, what in this case should I do if there is no filter ND?
Shoot at a higher frame rate.
If its 1 stop too bright to record 30fps 1/50 and lowest ISO, then
Set it to 60fps, 1/100or120, lowest ISO
If its still too bright, set it to 120fps, 1/200or240, lowest ISO.
You will still get the same 180° shutter rule but obviously 60fps will need to be slowed down 40% and 120 fps will have to be slowed down by 80%.
Your 1 second of 60fps will now be 2 and a half seconds and your 1 second of 120fps will now be 5 seconds long
Failing that buy a variable ND filter and you can film any fps at 1/50 ISO44
Lets say my inbuilt stabilization is poor and I want to produce a
4k 3840x1644 video
But
I can record in 4032x1728
Should I record in 4032x1728 with no EOS,
Do a 5% crop in the post stabilization
And have a stablilized 3830x1641 at the end?
What's your opinion on the Anamorphic lens attachment for the iPhone for filming?
every tool is a creative choice. Anamorphics have a certain character. If you want that character because you believe it works for the look you want, then that answers the question 😊
@@SiHorrocks Thanks. Have you done any work with the sandmark anamorphic lens and ND filters?
I have a Samsung Note 9 and I have purchased FiLMiC Pro as well. My projects are very small and limited. Recently I made a small video showing a new PC build together with my desk set up. I experimented with FiLMiC Pro, Osmo Mobile 3, Osmo Mimo and the Samsung Native photo/video app. I was unable to get decent results with the Osmo Mobile (mainly due to my inexperience with gimbals) but what I found strange was the choppy video getting from FiLMiC pro in 24 fps (in 30 and 60 fps was ok). When I put the footage in DaVinci Resolve I discovered that every single video taken with FiLMiC Pro in 24fps, it was not 24fps at all. Some were 27fps, others 25ish fps and others 26ish fps. I restarted my phone, and tried again but the issue is still there. I finally used the footage taken with the native app with decent results (well the app works fine in all fps)
Smartphone video uses variable frame rate, amongst many other compression strategies
anyone knows the movie name, please, 01:27 - the scene with riders attacking ?
Should I set my FPS to 24 instead of 30 for vlogging i.e. "A day in the life" type of vlog, or should I just leave it at 30fps?
its more a matter of taste, but 30fps can be slightly easier to get good results from. 24fps is more for the film look, and also means you can have a slightly slower shutter (good for low light)
Is there other apps?
I have a question. If I buy iPhone X do I get access to the Filmic pro V2?
Please reply and thanks for reading.
Yup
Thank you, but just found out Filmic Pro is subscription, which at entry level isn’t viable. What’s the competition that’s not subscription based to a filmic pro alternative? Great video and movie btw
ua-cam.com/video/_nrLgH4qW1A/v-deo.html
Just a question. When do you adjust white balance using a card, before or after you attach ND filter?
After
@@SiHorrocks Thank you so much!

Hey I have a question. I shoot wildlife photography in 4K, thou looking for a light way to edit video on apple device especially my Ipad pro 12.3 inch. Problem is software and space. I noticed you said you were editing video on your ipad. Is that the entire process or just little bits and pieces. I have davinci resolve with a big system and like 14 terabytes of data storage. Again do not like the storage of 4K. I really wish I could not have to use a PC to edit 4K video. Are you plugging into a huge Hard Drive with the Ipad or using a regular pc ?? Be a great video showing your workflow because it is a real pain is it not ???? Thanks man and will check out your pateron page
Hey there, thanks. A lot of my recent videos were edited on my iPad using LumaFusion. It handles 4K very well. there are some issues, such as having to import the files onto the iPad to edit them. It doesn't have all the features of Premiere, which is what I used before. I've now returned to using Premiere a new M1 MacBook Air. I just prefer having things like animated titles, warp stabilizer, files stored on an external Samsung T5 drive. It's easier to manage files. Having said that LumaFusion is great and very fast. Some things are just quicker with such a simple software and some features which speed things up...
@@SiHorrocks hey thanks for the reply. I looked into this an agree not fully flushed out on iPad. So I think in time we will get there.
