- This video started off responding to a question I had gotten. A viewer inquired would the bees be able to find their entrance again after being used to upper entrances in the honey supers. Of course, there is some short-term chaos, but the bees quickly overcome that.
It's getting closer and closer to the end of the season, and it feels like it's been a long one.
I typically leave the fall flow to my bees, It's usually not big enough to warrant a fall harvest.
I have about 80 gal of goldenrod honey, will be watching to see tips for developing a market for it.
You have no idea how funny I just got this notification, as I got off the phone with my wife.
She just crossed the Mississippi River and was telling me how low the river was this morning. She didn't notice it when she went to visit family in Tennessee, because it was dark when she crossed.
She was talking about the white fields of cotton in Arkansas. Then she mentioned you and how while I was feeding you had a great flow this summer. And had a fall flow probably.
I said that you were probably harvesting and bam the notification came from your UA-cam channel 😆 🤣.
I pray that you had a wonderful harvest! I just thought it was a funny thing that we were talking about you.
What repellent do you use?
Bee go, I don’t like any other brand
The base that the hive sits on seems really narrow?
Works well for me.
Do you make fall Nucs with mated queens?
No
How is the market for goldenrod honey? I took a few boxes and it has a very different taste from traditional honey. Do you market it separately or blend it?
The market is smaller, I keep it separate.
I’m trying to build a bigger market for it. If a person believes in honey for medicinal uses then fall honey is really the best to use.
