Hi Im in UK had implant upper left 5 with jaw expansion 10 yrs ago. Since last Oct Ive had a dull ache in the implant area coming from top of implant post, I can eat fine on tooth. The jaw bone area of implant sinks in so Ive had bone lose, the xrays, opg, ct scans shows nothing obvious, no big bone lose but one dentist suggested I have a pocket and to keep.it clean then next step Lapip. Ive kept it clean and no progress. Do my symptoms sound like peri implantitus ? Ive struggled in uk to find any implant dentist who is willing to help, Im desperate and already spent many thousands of £ seeing dentists in.uk. All suggested it could be other things so.Ive had alot of other work done. Ive even had mri scans to discount brain issues. In uk treating implant problems seems to be an area that is not covered well. Im desperate to be honest at point of losing my job as I can concentrate with it.
Looking for people I know that had implants three of them are dead within one year of having their implants the fourth is in the hospital now all of them had congestive heart failure afterwards a massive infection

I had a laser treatment for infection. One session only, a little bit uncomfortable during the procedure.
How do you know if infected implant is gone on blood stream? Very scary situation right now, is there a certain test, any info would be grateful

I just had 4 implants done and I have an abscess and I started antibiotics hoping it goes away 😟 I’m afraid now
I had 5 implants in a period of 5 years (because lack of money) and so, far except for a minor infection everything is great.

Dental impressions will not pull out a filling unless it is poorly installed or has somehow become loose!
