Honestly speaking about my own experience, my gum was starting to recede and I was thinking to go to the dentist but I heard of oil pulling. So I started using organic coconut oil to gargle my mouth and teeth 20 mins then brush them after ( oil pulling only once a day) and I also added a drop or two of myrrh essential oil. 3 months later I showed my teeth to my friends and they thought I had a new set of them. The gum has grown back and teeth were whiter. Now I still do it once every few days. It’s been a few years and they are still the same. 20 mins seems long but any time from 15 mins is ok.

I had this procedure done 4 years ago. DONT DO IT. I have scarring of the gums above my upper teeth from being stretched and yanked too tight during the procedure. It created tethering which is what happens when scar tissue shrinks. It is still uncomfortable after 4 years. The procedure was a nightmare for me and the healing process difficult. The second day after the surgery I was puffed up and bruised so badly that I had to take prednisone and an antibiotic. Of course I could not brush for 6 weeks and no solid food for all that time. You never know how you will do with acprocrdure. I wish I had not done this AND 4 years later my gums have receded back to the Pre op state. 4,000 dollars wasted. I had all upper teeth done at once. I had this procedure. People down play the pain. It was very painful after the procedure. It didn’t work and one of my teeth had the nerve die and became infected after the procedure and I had it pulled.

I can see this technique working, but also I understand your dentist’s skepticism. Gums technically attach to bone, so if you have decreased bone levels, there will be nothing for gums to attach to, rendering and gum treatment ineffective, pinhole or otherwise. Pinhole technique might be a great option for localized recession due to aggressive brushing or frenum involvement, with good underlying bone levels.
My dentist took too long to refer me to a periadontIst. She pointed out the problem but I had to look for the specialist myself. A year and a half later after she told me I needed to see one. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You’re absolutely right-understanding is key when making decisions about your dental health. That’s why it's important to educate people about minimally invasive options to treating gum recession like the Pinhole Surgical Technique and how it differs from traditional gum grafting.
We’re sorry to hear about your past experience with the Pinhole® Surgical Technique. While we understand your concerns, it’s important to know that this is not a common occurence. The Pinhole® Surgical Technique has been refined over the years, and we now have over 4,000 trained clinicians, including 1,000 periodontists and other specialists, performing the procedure successfully on hundreds of cases every week. Additionally, we have studies demonstrating its long-term effectiveness. If you’d like to learn more about how the technique works today or see examples of success stories, we’d be happy to share that information. We appreciate you bringing up your experience, as it allows us to address concerns and provide clarity.
Great question! When Pinhole Surgical Technique® is performed properly, it can help prevent further bone loss by covering the exposed roots of the teeth and protecting them from additional damage. Addressing gum recession early is key to maintaining both gum and bone health.
can I get a fish hook and some novacaine and do it myself? Just kidding. This is actually fantastic news. I will ask my dentist about it next time I visit.
I don’t recommend the Pinhole. I had it done. It’s very painful and didn’t work. Then I had to to have one of my teeth pulled because it became infected.
You are very young. Your body will heal itself. Use super soft manual toothbrushes (those with ultra thin tapering bristles) and don't use whitening toothpaste (those with abrasive particles), use sensodyne instead. See a dentist and get a professional dental hygiene/cleaning every 6 months. I was like you, used hard or electrical brushes for ages, abrasive toothpaste as well, was obsessed with having clean teeth and ended up doing more damage than good...
I am 17 years old, my gums are receded. There are almost 10 teeths which are visible longer and one of them are slightly loose and paining. I noticed this problem a few days ago. Now I'm confused what should I do now, please anyone give me a good suggestion 😭
Hello Gavin, Thank you for reaching out! Don’t worry-there are options to treating gum recession! For context, the Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST) or Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation is a minimally invasive procedure designed to treat gum recession without the need for cutting or stitches, resulting in faster recovery and less discomfort. We recommend searching for a Pinhole Certified Doctor near you via Google. You can do this by typing "Pinhole Certified Doctors [your location or country]." Once you find a doctor, feel free to email us at pstacademy@gmail.com, so we can help verify their certification. Then, we would recomment scheduling a consultation. This will allow the doctor to examine your situation and determine the best treatment plan for your gums and teeth. If you’re interested, you’re also welcome to visit Dr. John Chao, the inventor of this technique, in Alhambra, California.
This sounds very much like a treasure box for dentists and Pharma industry, Just by seeing the short video that shows the techniques at the beginning I can tell, it’s a lie. They don’t show a real film because the blood spilling would be a great indicator for the pain and other problems this proceeding involves.
Thank you for your comment! We understand your concerns regarding the visual representation of our procedure in promotional materials. The reason we don't typically broadcast close-up surgeries on the internet nor on television is due to the graphic nature of the live surgical procedures. The animation that we show portrays a more friendly, easier to understand form of visual. However, we do invite you to visit our social media platforms where we share before-and-after images and real results from patients who have undergone the Pinhole Surgical Technique. This procedure shows both immediate cosmetic and long term results. Patients generally say they feel very minimal pain. It depends where you live. I live in the UK and there are only a few dentists that do this procedure the nearest one is about two hours away from me. Just Do some research on where your nearest dentist is who can do this procedure dentist who can do this will normally advertise it on their websites
Unfortunately any kind of gum procedure is not guaranteed results. Gum graft can fail, gums can recede again. Depends on where recession is and why it’s happening to better understand if it will be successful.

Hi Isis, we understand the concerns for this procedure. Rest assured, many patients who have had this procedure performed testify that the pain was minimal to almost none. We hope you can reconsider this technique.
This procedure doesn’t sound really so good. This destroys the nerves in the gums and makes them weaker. I don’t think this is the right way to go. They should have something those days to Inject on the gums to make them grow naturally.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The Pinhole® Surgical Technique is actually a very gentle, minimally invasive procedure that doesn’t damage the nerves in the gums. Instead, it repositions the gum tissue to cover receded areas, protecting the roots and helping to prevent further issues. While there isn’t an injectable solution to regrow gums naturally just yet, dental science is always evolving. In the meantime, Pinhole has shown great results for many patients, with studies backing its long-term success. If you have any questions or would like to know more, we’re happy to help!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! Pinhole doesn’t involve inserting metal into the body; instead, it uses a resorbable membrane that the body absorbs within six months. Once your gums are receded, the only way to re-generate your gum tissue is through some level of surgical intervention, such as the Pinhole Surgical Technique. Pinhole offers a minimally invasive option for gum rejuvenation.
I had this done, was very expensive, I have 2 teeth lost after, the infection was another pain in the ass to get rid off and the ligaments that support my teeth never grew as expected. Obviously the doctors are protected you can’t sue them because they make you sign a waiver that shelters them as they walk away with the money they took from me. Sad
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve faced. The Pinhole® Surgical Technique/Pinhole® Gum Rejuvenation is designed to be a minimally invasive and highly effective procedure, and the outcomes you describe are extremely unusual. To better understand your situation, we suggest that you request your treating dentist to share your case information with us. With your permission, they can provide details that may help us better understand what happened in your case. It’s possible there may be complicating factors, such as a medical condition or an unusual set of circumstances, that contributed to the outcome. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. [28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. [29] Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

I mentioned this to my dentist who seemed sceptical of it working if you have gum disease. Something about bone loss would make it fail ?
I can see this technique working, but also I understand your dentist’s skepticism. Gums technically attach to bone, so if you have decreased bone levels, there will be nothing for gums to attach to, rendering and gum treatment ineffective, pinhole or otherwise. Pinhole technique might be a great option for localized recession due to aggressive brushing or frenum involvement, with good underlying bone levels.
My dentist took too long to refer me to a periadontIst. She pointed out the problem but I had to look for the specialist myself. A year and a half later after she told me I needed to see one. Another dentist told me to just get dentures. I decided myself to search for a 3rd opinion and he saved my teeth. Do something before its too late.
@@789genie I'm having implants for some. But I had a veneer done in my twenties and now the gum has receeded, it looks awful. I mentioned this to my dentist but she seems very sceptical.

Looks pretty simple what is the cost of this procedure? How available will this be with most most insurance company?
Thank you for the question! The cost of the procedure varies depending on the specific needs of the patient, including the number of teeth with gum recession and any additional treatments required.
As for insurance, some plans may cover part of the procedure, but the amount of coverage depends on your individual plan and the severity of your condition.
@dr.johnchao I talked to my dentist about it he didn't even know what they were talking about you were talking about. Ain't it the way you hear a good idea. And it's up to the professionals to start doing it.

Had this done yesterday. It was great! Took 30 min and all done. Slight pain.
I paid 6500€ for pinhole surgery in Austria and lost all my money and have a worse situation than before. I didn't find many comments on UA-cam maybe they get deleted. But i searched the Internet and found a thread where many people write they lost thousands of dollars or euros and for nothing. They all regret it. I only found two comments from ppl who said it has slightly improved but hundrets who regret it. I shouldn't have done it, it's one of the biggest regrets of my life and i cry everyday because it's so much worse than before. The dentist said it's a bad result but didn't really care. The surgery itself was very brutal and painful torture. I also found comments from professionals on the Internet who warn people, one doctor had it done on himself and ist warning people not to do it.
My Front lower teeth got lose from the surgery and i found a comment from another person who wrote the same. The pinhole dentist said they might have been lose before but my main dentist doesn't believe it. No matter how much you wish to find Help: Stay away from this surgery!
What are results now
Lost all the teeth 😂🤣🥸 that’s why won’t update the results.
How it is now?
@Gavin39695 great, no problems
If this actually works…WOW !! I had gum graft surgery & cosmetically it turned out awful. Pinhole maybe a game changer 😊
Yes! Pinhole has immediate cosmetic results and patients say that they have very minimial pain after the treatment.
I had this operation, is brutal and risky. Most doctors do not have the insurance premium that allows them to practice in Guinea pigs I mean humans ; the malpractice risks are high hence the premium and the waivers forms are abundant

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You’re absolutely right-understanding is key when making decisions about your dental health. That’s why it's important to educate people about minimally invasive options to treating gum recession like the Pinhole Surgical Technique and how it differs from traditional gum grafting.
Don't waste your time and money. Years ago my dentist started doing this but after a bunch of failures, he gave it up.

What about bone loss?
Great question! When Pinhole Surgical Technique® is performed properly, it can help prevent further bone loss by covering the exposed roots of the teeth and protecting them from additional damage. Addressing gum recession early is key to maintaining both gum and bone health.

Are there are practitioners for this procedure in New Zealand

Please, where can the pinhole can be done
I don’t recommend the Pinhole. I had it done. It’s very painful and didn’t work. Then I had to to have one of my teeth pulled because it became infected.
Use an electric toothbrush so you stop brushing too hard and floss your teeth everyday.
Hey I'm 14 yrs old and I'm brushing my teeth way to hard and now i have receding gums what should i do? how to back my normal gums
I am 16 years old and I've noticed this problem 😭
Hey bro tell me how it's going
I am 17 years old, my gums are receded. There are almost 10 teeths which are visible longer and one of them are slightly loose and paining. I noticed this problem a few days ago.

Hello Gavin,
Thank you for reaching out!

Why gum recede happen
We have to study the cell in the gum 🐁 so we can figure out a way to help the cell multiplies in the mouth 🦃
Is it for sure?
Unfortunately any kind of gum procedure is not guaranteed results. Gum graft can fail, gums can recede again. Depends on where recession is and why it’s happening to better understand if it will be successful.

And its painful
Hi Isis, we understand the concerns for this procedure. Rest assured, many patients who have had this procedure performed testify that the pain was minimal to almost none. We hope you can reconsider this technique.

That looks painful and worth it
This procedure doesn’t sound really so good.
I like the laser gum cleaning method...
❤
you can re grow your teeth and gums by yourself you dont need to put metal in the human body it is BAD!
😂😂😂😂❤❤nice wow sir😮😮😢😢😢😢🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋🕋
I had this done, was very expensive, I have 2 teeth lost after, the infection was another pain in the ass to get rid off and the ligaments that support my teeth never grew as expected.
Obviously the doctors are protected you can’t sue them because they make you sign a waiver that shelters them as they walk away with the money they took from me. Sad
