I've watched a bunch of these videos to prepare for wiring my trailer. Your's is the best one. Particularly for the side marker lights. Thanks for posting!
As a new boater & non electrician, your video helped me so much in doing the exact same things. It’s people like you that give us “newbies” hope & positive know how. Again, thank you.
I am a firm believer in running the ground all the way to each lamp. If you use the frame for ground the connections to the frame will corrode resulting in a failed connection.
What brand were the LED markers? I also have them but don’t have the owners manual. I was grounding the black/white instead of the black and it wasn’t working. So it would make sense if the black is negative and black/white positive. Mine are CE SCOTT
If your trailer is galvanized, do you have to sand off anything to get a good ground? And secondly when you put the ground on the stud of the tail light itself do you wedge it in between two washers to get a ground?
No do not remove any galvanizing it still should give a good ground and yes you can wedge it between but I would rather it have contact with the grounding metal

Very Very Very helpful for a new 1st time boat owner like myself.
Thank you so much.
Thank you! I wasn't feeling too sure about rewiring my new to me 82 Ranger boat trailer. Your video has changed that!
That’s awesome thx for the comment
You made it look so easy. Thanks for this great video. Think I can follow your instructions. Have a great day.

Nice Hydra Sport. 👍
Awesome information, awesome video!! Thanks for sharing.
The blue wire is why I was watching this. Did you just clip the old one and connect the new one to the old?
There’s a wire that comes off the brake solenoid the blue wire attaches to that.

What is the torch you are using, seems like a good one.
Snap on mini torch
Can you post the link for the equipment you purchased ?
I got everything but the tail lights from Amazon and the taillights we’re purchased at Home Depot
Where did you get the 5pin harness and the back brake lights?
Rear brakes and the harness was purchased on Amazon
