Wow, you did an amazing job piecing the story together, even with the plot gaps and inconsistencies in the games. Some people may call it non-canon, but I love it like this - it fits perfectly. The graphics are also really nice!
Exactly ! i'm glad you understood what i tried to do there ! Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave your feedback i really appreciate it ! I'm happy you enjoyed it !
@@jbeachboy100 you can look in settings > controls > and fin the keybind for it, by default, it's by pressing "6" or "5" it will pull a bolt in your hand, then press your fire button to throw it
Yeah that was my goal with this video and I'm glad people are finding it helpful ! Thank you so much I'm happy you enjoyed it 🙏 If you got other fellow stalkers that need a refresher make sure to pass it around maybe in the discords or reddit, it will help me out a lot ❤️
okay let's see, are you by any chance bald ? do you see a monolith crystal in your dreams ? Do you happen do worship that crystal ? are your eyes completely white ? are you wearing a white and black camouflage ? if you answered at least half of these with a Yes then it explains why you love the X LABs, you might be a monolith soldier ..
I wouldn't call it love, because the x-labs scared the living sht out of me. But to this day I can't explain why I ventured down there without the least hesitation. Stalker really gave me the feeling that the monolith was real and I couldn't resist its call. It was and is such a crazy immersive and atmospheric game that is unmatched to this day. I still can't believe it is 17 years, and we're going back. Never imagined. I will pour myself a drink while installing for those who never made it and sadly perished.
Yeah it's okay, the original games are really hit or miss with new players, especially without any mods, they really aged. and you're most welcomed ! i'm glad you found this helpful ! Thanks for dropping by, and good hunting stalker :P
Oh this was a very heavy lore dump, I really wish I could've played the games but as I've said its the low graphics that kind of ruin the experience for me. Downloading S2 right now, not sure what to expect, the UI looks like something out of Tarkov, the world and guns look like Metro series and the lore feels like Half Life and Xen mashed together. Very excited but hope its gonna be playable on 2k with my trusty 3060 ti.
Yep pretty much everything about stalker hahaha and stalker 2 yeah it's really a mix of everything, 3060ti, i don't think it's gonna cut it for 1440p but it's possible if you tweak some settings and use heavy upscaling, otherwise it should be fine for 1080p
Thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed it ❤️ About the deepdive Not planning to tbh, but what would you like to see in it ? Cuz i think there is no point of making a deep dive of a deep dive, everything is already explained by the devs. I guess if you want my thoughts on it sure i don't think it adds that much value but yeah maybe, at least it's not just recycling the content
Good video, but there are some misconceptions that come from the fact that your main source of information was the article about timeline on the English Stalker Wiki. It contains outdated information originating from old websites, which in turn originate from old design documents, and are not canon to the trilogy's lore. For instance, it's never mentioned in the games when was the Agroprom Institute established, only in one desdoc of the prequel it's said that it was in 1960s, but since it's just a design document it shouldn't be considered a canon fact. The same applies to the bus incident from 2001. The recruitment of Strizh by the Group didn't happen in 2003, it's just an attempt to explain the inconsistency between dates in SoC, which again, is only included on the Wiki article. The information about generators is also outdated. They will be included in S2, but we don't know anything about them yet, so cut content regarding them shouldn't really be mentioned, because their depiction may be completely different in the sequel. There is also no mention of how the creation of the Zone affected the test subjects in the labs, so all this stuff about their abilities increasing is just some headcanon. You also mentioned that the first emission turned soldiers into zombies, but it's never said in the games that this, or any subsequent emissions, are able to zombify people. The mention that scientists created detectors in 2009 isn't canon and comes from outdated sources, just like the mention that stalking began in 2011; the intro of Call of Pripyat states that stalkers were in the Zone already in 2009. The real-life Wormwood Forest/Red Forest and the in-game Red Forest are not the same thing, because the latter is a fictional Limansk Reserve. The C-Consciousness wasn't right as far as we know since in Call of Pripyat there is no mention of the Zone expanding - on the contrary, it's said that such a thing is not happening. These are just a few things I've noticed, and I'm not pointing this out to criticize you, but if you're going to do a recap like this, I think you should use the games themselves as your main source, instead of erroneous summaries that someone once made based on outdated or non-canonical information.
Yeah i spent almost a month trying to connect events based on the games but the amount of inconsistencies is insane, i had to resort to old design docs and my own theories, to try connect and fill the blanks and make it as logical and easy to understand as possible for the sake of the bigger picture since this is mostly targeted to new comers. I basically connected the dots to best fit the story and i think it it turned out to be great i'm satisfied ! I know some stuff are not canon but now i hope you understand. Thanks for the feedback i appreciate it ! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏
the generator's are not cannon and the lab under it was reworked to x16 with the monolith control center moved to the CNPP the generator's like many other cut ideas has a massy development history due to it being changed many time throughout the development of oblivion lost when covering stalker lore i would recommend you leave out cut content has it will likely confuses people who are new to the franchise due to the incomplete and in some cases messy nature of it and i am aware they will be likely returning in stalker 2 but i doubt the lore for them will be the same as it was the oblivion lost and they would have likely gotten a heavy rework during the new stalker 2's development have a good day :)
Thank you for your time i really appreciate the feedback ! but yeah you're right if we look at the original trilogy the lore development was pretty messed up lol this is why in this video i'm talking about the stalker universe in general, after a lot of research i combined all the lore that is relevant to stalker moving up to stalker 2 release and recapped it to make the most sense leading up to the lore of the sequel even tough some events are not canon in the original trilogy they still make sense in the universe in general for example i didn't mention the "zone duplicates people" theory from anarchy cell or how strelok would escape the military from x18 through darkscape with a car, cuz they're irrelevant there's no continuation in that, but with the Generators and lab underneath, now that we know they are canon in the universe with stalker 2 news, they will play a huge role in the story in the next game, so it's worth mentioning them since a lot of the gaps in the lore will be filled and this is one of them. But in my opinion if someone is digging this far through the lore of Stalker, i think they are already knee-deep in it to be considered a new player. Anyway thanks again for your notes, always glad to nerd-out on some stalker lore 😁
@@GerdionXT yes basically Metro Exodus but instead of multiple instances of open world, it's one huge open world. Is it better than Metro ? that is subjective of course depends on the person, but i'm pretty sure if you liked Metro Exodus, you will like this game too
