Good~~~
Beautiful video, keep it coming 👍
Unreal footage man, solid effort , very cool. Watching in 4K .... amazing and good to see the Rav4 is capable of getting you to those remote spots.
Have ordered a 2023 Rav4 XSE and fingers crossed should be here middle of next month ( March 23) .
Anyways epic video , keep them coming. Have subscribed.
Cheers from New Zealand
Thanks Kerry! I wish I could bring my RAV4 to NZ, such a beautiful place. You're going to love your new 2023 XSE!
I hope you and your family are all safe and clear of the cyclone's impact. All the best.
@@rav4me Thanks
Have you ever had problems with your breaks and the charging system? Love the Rav's
No problems at all. I've done 160,000 kms and no mechanical issues 👍
Hi @rav4me,
The pictures and stills from the camera tour are simply unbelievably beautiful! It's nice to see such films and pictures, you just get the desire for off-road trips and wilderness.
What kind of photo/ video/ drone equipment do you currently use?
Regards!!
Thanks so much! At the moment I'm using a dji mini pro 3, and just a Samsung S22. My old Canon full frame camera can't do 4K video, so I'm saving my pennies to get something newer.
@@rav4me thanks for Your answer!!! Great and beautiful work, also for Your partner at the live set!!!
Love the video but I was wondering with the electric motor, do you need to be careful of the mud and grit and do you need to clean them as a precaution after such a trip? … curious.
Thanks David. As far as I know you don't need to. I believe they're sealed, but I'm no mechanic, so maybe I'm wrong.
Hey dude! Love your video! I've been debating on whether to take my 2022 Rav 4 XLE off roading or not... I can't find a solid suspension yet... and I am not sure what tires to run... Any suggestions on those two things?
Thanks!
Here's a quick list of things to watch out for: There is a risk of tires rubbing inside the wheel arches if you go too big. Size and weight of the tires will also affect your fuel economy, acceleration and handling. Tire tread will affect noise, handling and fuel economy. If you replace the rims, the wrong offset could also cause tire rubbing.
One way to easily avoid these issues is to just find someone with a 5th gen rav4 with the wheels and tires you want and get the exact same ones.
My wheel rims: KMC KM708 BULLY; My tires: Falken Wildpeak AT3W 245/65r17.
I've been impressed by these tires. They've performed well under all conditions and are lasting well.
Obviously if you also lift your rav4 that's going to help avoid rubbing, and you might be able to go a little bigger than my tires. Mine had very slight rubbing, so this is the biggest you can go without a lift kit or suspension.
Hopefully some of this is helpful. Sorry if I've only listed things you already know.
Amazing videos! Where in Australia was this?
Thanks! This trip started in the Blue Mountains, not far from Sydney, and ended in the wilderness of the Wollemi.
Great Video. How do you carry a spare tire?
I have a spare in the usual spot, under the floor of the trunk, however due to the width of these tires the floor doesn't sit properly where it should. I'm thinking I might move it onto the roof rack, which would have the benefit of being accessible even with the trunk full of camping gear.
