This saved my life. I've been pain free for 9 months because I followed this. Keto carnivore diet low noodles and potatoes. I've lost 85lbs. I feel great
Was it the carnivore diet or was it losing 85 lbs, just changing your diet and losing that much weight would make you feel so much better. I’ve always thought that too much meat is very hard on the digestive system since it takes so long to digest and doesn’t have any antioxidants.
That’s hilarious the gabapentin did nothing to relieve my pain. Neither did one of those antidepressants that you mentioned and they had been on that for 15 years. It did nothing. I really have to figure out a way out of pain though because this isn’t a life this is survival and it sucks.
I have had Fybromyalga for 13 years! The last 3.5 years, it was so bad I spent most of my days in bed! I had to resign feom the job I loved. I have been on Keto since January 1st, and excuse my language, but holy shit! Within 2 weeks of no carbs, except from veggies, I have had unimaginable relief from the pain! I absolutely will never go back! It has helped my depression too, I am so much happier, it is almost weird, because I was struggling with depression for 20+ years! Another bonus, my eye sight is actually getting better. Didn't expect that! Thank you so much, your videos have been a huge help!
@@akshaydhadwal9731 Yes, my pain was absolutely so bad, I really didn't want to be here anymore. Now I am almost pain free, and I have so much energy. Probably more than I did in my 20s! 😊
Only thing Dr Berry sells is his book. He also promotes Redmond's Real salt. The others stuff is suggested if you want. Besides, everyone needs to make a living and his information and delivery is superb.
Thank you. I guess it comes with age. Oh and now a need to do research. I won't take any medication unless I know the actions and side effects. Sometimes the side effects are worse than the illness. Who wants to take a medication who's side effect could be death. Not me.
I was diagnosed in 1990 at age 21 at Ohio State. I am now 54. NO one had heard of it when I was diagnosed. People thought for years that I was lying because I had been a college athlete. I was eating a ton of carbs and still thin despite it. I am 54 now and, unfortunately, was on Duloxetine and it damaged my CNS in only 6 months. Duloxetine reactivated Fibro. I am on only beef, bacon, butter, eggs, fish, water, Redmond salt, and electrolytes. I have to repair my gut health to repair my central nervous system. Bless you, Dr. Berry for being supportive of fibromyalgia. 💜💜💜💜
Fibromyalgia has destroyed my life completely. Since I got sick, I’ve been evicted four times, I’ve had three vehicles repossessed, I’ve been homeless twice and I’m going on the third time. I have nine failed career attempts because I can’t do anything for long. I’ll be 50 years old this year and I’ve never been married and I have no kids and I have no friends and I have no family and I have no church and I have no job and I have no wealth and I have no income and I have no anything because of this stupid disease. Plus a back injury from a motorcycle accident. I started carnivore 13 days ago. Some symptoms have improved, but I’m still unable to sleep because of pain. I’m switching to the lion diet in a few days when the eggs are gone just to be sure. Praying this works, because it’s all I have left. All of the stupid drugs have failed me And I won’t take needles or narcotics.
@@Kielton a lot of things have improved, but I still have a long way to go. Currently dealing with indigestion and constipation as I try to get fat adapted and understand my fat:protein ratio. Decades of digestive issues are going to take time to heal. Same with the pain issues. I had to buy a top-of-the-line Tempur-Pedic bed on credit, with no source of income except more debt. Stupid but necessary, as I'm finally experiencing less pain while sleeping. A little less. It's going to take time. I just hope I don't get evicted again and have the bed repossessed.
Try agmatine, B1, magnesium glycinate and l-theanine. My wife did this and the agmatine helped more than anything thing. She feels about 80% better and continues to improve with a good diet and supplements.
I am doing the same. I figured, what more harm can be done? This or die. 4 weeks being Ketovore, I feel so much better. Yesterday, March 22nd, was my first full day carnivore. I feel better each day and will never go back! I wanted to just not wake up, then I would not have to feel the pain! But that has changed. I get up early, look forward tobthe day. I even exercised a bit the other day. Try carnivore only. Donot cheat. Just meat, sslt & water. You will not starve. And if you KNOW you can handle it, some eggs & cheese are fine too. My fave meal right now is a bowl of ground beef, redmond's salt on it and I try different cheeses each time. Soooooo good 😋 And I have no carb or sugar cravings. Try it. 🤷🏼♀️🤞🏻❤️
It may take some time but you will be amazed how much this way of life will benefit you, and I have to say how very sorry I am to read about your life 😢 experiences .... and I do relate somewhat to your pain, although I have had great family support. But I have also gone throught many surgeries and the latest 3 Neurosurgeries have not gone too well. I can walk very short distances with a stick or walker but now am sad to say that I don't have much faith in the doctors. I hope you will keep going, I have been on a 90% Carnivore eating Regime for about 6 months and it is helping a lot. Wishing you all the very best for the future ❤️
I have decided to do a radical transformation! I lived with fibromyalgia for years but my doctors refused to diagnose me. Additionally, after being diagnosed, I was never given any real help with the disease/diagnosis. I was prescribed Ibuprofen 800mg, 2X per day for pain, but would only take it at night so that I could sleep more comfortably. I have, thankfully, almost always been drug-resistant, though I am not supplement resistant! I have recently decided that I cannot live this way anymore and have decided to take my health issues into my own hands. I am currently following Dr. Terry Wahl's autoimmune diet in the hope of curing/alleviating the fibromyalgia diagnosis. Additionally, I no longer want to take prescribed drugs and have told my doctor that I will not be taking the Ibuprophen and do not want any other medications when possible.
I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia and got worse and worse. I ended up seeing a rheumatologist who diagnosed Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I couldn’t dress myself without help when I started Keto and within months my symptoms eased, in the last 2.5 years I’ve lost 40kg and am rarely bothered by symptoms. Now nearly carnivore. Will never eat a SAD woe again.🤗
DJ L I had severe pain in mainly my shoulders and arms. I couldn’t lift a cup of coffee to have a drink without help. I was becoming seriously depressed by the constant pain. I took my husband to the Emergency Room one day and the doctor saw how much pain I was in and thought it was PMR so asked me to trial something that would tell if it was or not. He put me onto a short course of high dose steroids. Within days my pain had disappeared. I was then referred to the Rheumatologist who started me on high dose steroids weaning down for nearly 2 years. I started keto at about the same time. I haven’t had any steroids for over a year and eat as low carb as I can, now pretty much carnivore but still have coffee, an occasional avocado or some mushrooms.
Make sure you have sufficient vitamin D levels too! Mine went away with that most likely because I had low adrenal hormone and it was acting like the natural steroids I was missing. Be careful with down regulating your own production by supplementing with pharmaceuticals you can end up even worse
Katie • I have no symptoms anymore. I also live in Australia and get tons of Vitamin D both though my diet and my lifestyle. We are currently sitting on our covered deck watching the golfers walk past our fence on their way to the 17th tee! We only finished putting in our yard recently and now spend several hours a day sitting in the open air. My vitamin D levels have always been good. Thanks.
I was diagnosed with Fibro 12 years ago, after my VA doctors had sent me in an ambulance (twice) to the hospital cardiac ward. Finally my cardiologist and neurologist compared notes, gave me the pressure point test and then they advised a combination of Gabapentin and Amitriptyline, along with muscle relaxers. I was also told mine was particularly bad and I would have to exercise at least five days a week. Believe me if I don't my body wants to freeze up on me, so I do exercise every week, and I volunteer 3 days a week with lawn maintenance at a local private airport (2,400 foot long 3 hundred feet wide grass runway). SO YES, you have to stay active, and take those meds every day. Now some what different from the video is the fact I do drink root beer every day, along with Powerade. AND one other fact that may be my cause for the fibro, at age four I was ejected through the windshield of a 1955 Ford. Compound skull fracture, along with 22 broken bones. Due to the compression fracture down my spine, the last time I tried to run, I passed out, so don't even try now. Since that time I managed to break a dozen other bones, trying to do things Doctors tell me I shouldn't do. Now I'm 71 and have no plans to stop volunteering, and will continue to exercise regularly. I have said this 100 times...... I plan to die with my boots.
My root cause was when I was diagnosed with lyme disease and that's when all hell broke loose for me and I never been the same since. I don't have a life anymore, I'm just existing and fighting for survival and trying all kinds of things to try to do & feel better .
I am a person who has multiple health issues. It seems I can't eat anything anymore. For one issue, I need to increase this type of food, but for another issue, I need to decrease or eliminate the same food. This supplement can help this, but the same supplement can hurt that. A world-renowned cardiologist from Duke University told me oatmeal is the healthiest food on the planet, yet Dr. Berry says don't eat it. This is why people tend to give up. Doctors and nutrition specialists rarely look at the patient's overall health and together come up with the best diet and treatments.
It was grains and sugar! I had pain in every joint. Even my toes! I binge watched Dr. Berry, then gave up grains and sugar. 2 days later and now it's 1 month--Pain is Gone. Thank you Dr. Berry. And thank you for being smart, real and so funny!!!
@@leslieharari8755 wow ! This is info I thought I had all figured out.. now I need todo what I used to do.. simple whole food eating.. and no seeded sourdough bread or Bulgarian plain yogurt. !! Two things I sooo love .. probably crave it cuz I’m sabotaging myself or something like that..I gotta turn this all around.. glad for all the comments here. !!
Summary on how to treat Fibromyalgia 1. Cut down/out sugar and carbs. 2. Increase vegetables, good fats, protein. 3. Take Vitamin D, Magnesium and Iodine supplements. 4. Exercise
@PurePeacePower I have been on the carnivore diet for 42 days and decided to eat some tomatoes and kale. Omg never again the next day it was like I was back at square one. Some vegetables activate the inflammation . Peppers also make my fibro worsen.
I am 76 and diagnosed with fibro Over 30 years ago. I damaged my kidneys with ibuprofen and no doctor ever told me I was in danger. I now have stage 3 kidney disease. I have been carnivore for 7 weeks and my fibro pain is worse than ever. I am suddenly prediabetic 5 months ago, and I am taking metformin. I have started electrolytes and I will pick up some magnesium drops tomorrow. I am determined to get over this chronic inflammation which has ruined my youth which is gone forever. However even at my age I love life and I want to feel better and be able to do the things I have not been able to do for years
Give alpha lipoic acid a try. I get the cheap stuff from Walmart. It will either make a difference or It won’t. I am not going to type up a book here but just get to the point. When the pain is unbearable I take like 6/8 pills at once! (It coats the nerves)
I was diagnosed in 1991 for Fibromyalgia. I had several medications that did not help. pain killers anti depressants cause they thought it would inhibit the transmission to the nerves. Nothing helped or made it worse. No one told me that i was IR. No one told me to quit the bread, pasta and all that stuff that made me have the constant inflammation in my body... Untill i found out LCHF. Now i race up the stairs like i did 35 years ago. Thanks Dr Berry and other you tubers to lead the way.!! I am so greatfull for that. I am 60 now and feel like i have a future again..... greetings from the Netherlands ... Ingrid
Ok, I have fibro. I've never had a blood sugar problem. My readings are regularly in the 70s. I've had my thyroid checked, no problems. I DO have a vitamin D and magnesium deficiency though. I noticed eating bread and pasta left me congested and feeling generally crappy, so I tried the keto diet. When I eat clean keto and take extra D, magnesium and potassium, I feel a thousand times better! I am 43, was diagnosed at 19 ,and feel better now than I did then! After 2 pregnancies I really struggled with mental fog. BIG TIME. That is clearing up too! :)
I was a basket case! An obese woman in the bed with chronic pain, foggy head, cold, hot flashes, panic attacks, frequent sinus infections, fibromialgia was FINALLY diagnosed after 30 years of suffering. Then came Keto! Then came Carnivore. Gone! All of it gone! Going to the gym tomorrow at 5 am! No longer obese! No longer crippled in pain! No more foggy head! Amazing! Dr. Berry YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! My hubby’s too but that is a Type 1 diabetic story...
I have worked with several people with fibromyalgia--often comorbid with migraine. I also found that the low carbohydrates high animal fats diet is great for fibromyalgia.
yes, sometimes I think diet change has helped so many different diseases. even Lyme disease and Lupus and I have seen it do miracles on a young man who had been diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
@@lizbetheddy7268 there is a vegan movement that's borderline religious movement and the "vegan recruitment" is usually out in full force for those vulnerable to try anything. But the truth is that it is the carbs that got people into trouble to start with. The human digestive tract is not for plants. We have 20 feet of meat and animal fat digesting small intestines and only 3 feet of colon where bacteria can ferment (rot) some fiber from the plants consumed. Our stomach has the highest stomach acid alongside that of vultures and hyenas. Humans are supposed to eat meat and fish and other animal products and not plants. I have worked with tens of thousands of migraineurs and several fibromyalgia patients. The only thing that helps them is low plants--if any plants at all--high animal products low carbs high animal fat diet, and water with salt for proper hydrating fluid.
@@ijs2712 the track was a phone spell correct. In terms of red meat causing colorectal cancer: nope. It is processed meat--which may contain red meat--and seed/vegetable oils that may cause colorectal cancer. I have also met very many plant-based dieters with colorectal cancer but not yet one person who ate fresh, home cooked, red meat! All human studied on colorectal association with red meat come from food questionnaires, which don't differentiate between McDonalds burgers, salami, bacon, or steak and don't control for junk carbs, alcohol, smoking, and similar contributing factors. You may be interested to read up also on what actually supports cancer, because not meat but sugar (from table sugar or from carbs like bread or fruit juices, or soft drinks) does. Most cancers live off of fermenting glucose--good luck doing that from meat. ;) Meat doesn't support cancer at all. Just to discover if you have metastatic cancer they use a sugar drink because cancer cells latch onto sugar furiously to grow. If red meat was of interest to cancer cells, they woudl place red meat into the labeled dose to discover metastatic cancers. I think you have a lot to learn other than calling attention to phone spell check corrections the wrong way. :)
After about a month on strict Keto I suddenly realized my fibromyalgia pain had disappeared completely. I had been on Diclofenac twice a day and Doxepin for sleep. Stopped it all right before I went on keto because I had been on both of those prescriptions for 15 years and I decided to just tough it out. All of the pain disappeared and has never recurred. I've never doubted keto after that.
I NEVER took meds for fibro.. I've always eaten what I CRAVE.. mostly beef, chicken and pork.. about 4 oz per serving with a bunch of veggies. I get local in Season. Co op my meats. And organic and bison off season.. I can handle small amounts of other things, but only when I crave them. I can do tomatoes,, but only home grown. And pastene and contadina canned. With lots of garlic basil and evo..
I have fibromyalgia and have been dieting or I should say eating right now for a while. But today I felt terrible. I hurt all over. Even my pain medication didn't help me at all. I felt so tired and my body felt like a toothache. I watched this and remembered I had a milkshake last night. It was our anniversary so we got dessert after dinner. I bet that's what triggered today. Boy, it's just not worth it! I'm going back to eating nothing processed with no sugar. Thanks Doc.
I had severe fibromyalgia and was tired of being on so many meds with no improvement. I started keto and it turned my life around. I'm pain free and off all meds. I started walking and have built up to do long day hikes.
@@jules9628 It took me over a year for my part. I was cutting pill with a razor blade and wight them with a scale. Was so hard coming from them... hope you succeed :)
I SUFFERED for years with fibromyalgia. I had so much pain in my body. Just standing up from a chair hurt so bad. 9 months ago, I decided to try a keto diet. The more I learned about this woe (way of eating) and getting my carb intake lower and lower. I now stay under 20grams a day. And doing what Dr. Berry suggests in this video. I truly think I was mis diagnosed or it’s gone! I’ve also dropped 70 lbs. I walk without pain I walk standing up straight. I can standup with no pain. I no longer have to take pain medication. When someone asks if I miss cake. Not at that price ever!
Good that you bracketed WOE, because a lot of people ask what it is. Lol. I knew what it was for a long time, but I see it all the time in comments, people asking what it means. Cool story too by the way, my wife has fibro and seeing all these Keto and Carnivore comments have seen such great success with not just lowering the symptoms, but wiping them complete out, has inspired us. Keto is good for me too and possibly Carnivore, as I am pre Diabetic. It's win, win, win. I do feel better on meat and animal products and she said after seeing this and asking her, she feels better on red meat especially. So there's certainly something to the Carnitine thing.
Bill Does Stuff . Oh yes it’s completely changed my life. It’s now been 16 months, 90 pounds down and still going slowly, but it’s healing my body. I’m an entirely different person than I was. I have my life back! I turned 60 this year and I’m younger than I was at 40. I do real heavy meat also and feel my best when I stay away from everything else. I wish you and your wife all the success. You will definitely turn your health issues around. I no longer have fibromyalgia that was so debilitating.
@@corky52360 Wow, cool and thank you! My wife is 66 so it's nice to know that you and her are similar ages and it could do her a world of good too. I got her onto Pate (cause she doesn't like Liver), so that she could get more superior iron and she felt better right away. She was feeling tired all the time and had more pain and it dawned on me that's likely an iron issue. As I know that older women, tend to have more iron issues than younger women (according to studies) and voila. It helped immensely and she loves Liver Pate.
I suffered with widespread fibromyalgia for many years. I experimented with gestalt therapy and releasing the trauma and ptsd I’ve suffered since a child. I no longer need any pharmaceuticals for pain! I very rarely have a flare up and can control it with stress relief and sleep! I’m a carb junkie!! They don’t bring on any pain for me! Release the trauma energy deep in your cells! It works!
How do we release trauma? I have had Fibromyalgia for 30 years and been pure carnivore for a year. My pain is getting worse. My mom died less than 2 months ago and I was caring for her. She was my lifelong companion. She suffered tremendously well, but intensely with a multitude of conditions. How can I escape this? I am age 59, not married, no children, no job, no healthcare, etc...
@@JMJT325 I am so sorry and understand the emotional pain you’re experiencing which causes the physical pain also. If I may suggest, a carnivore diet is extremely inflammatory and will cause your pain to get worse. Processed white sugar is another huge catalyst for the pain. I found beef was a huge trigger for my pain. I released the energy stuck in my body created by CPTSD with Gestalt/psychotherapy and Somatics work. I recognized the things that triggered my reactions and “put the pieces” together with my mental health team. It’s about recognizing all the fractured pieces of you, ripping the band aid off, and facing the trauma head on to put those broken pieces together. In doing so, the energy the fractured pieces hold dissipates creating responses and pauses instead of reactions… reactions=unhealed trauma. Once I deep dived into my trauma work, I felt energetically lighter creating little to no pain and no need for pharmaceuticals. Since I posted my initial comment, I have learned fibromyalgia is linked to other conditions such as autism and adhd which I’ve been diagnosed with both. Talk therapy IS NOT the way to go because there is little to know healing…think of a pressure cooker… you get a “steam” release when you talk only to create another build up of pressure…never resolving the “pressure build up” or energy associated with your trauma. Unfortunately the healing is about getting down and dirty digging into the trauma and storming into the fire the trauma creates within our cells. A caged bird can only fly if someone actively opens their door…I sure hope this helps you and please feel free to reach out. After processing my deep trauma work with Gestalt and Somatics, I dived deep into learning and helping others through their deep process trauma. I’m not “fishing” for clients, I simply want to help others to know that through my deep process work, I successfully released the pain. Best wishes for your recovery
I have fibromyalgia and am a type 2 diabetic. I have been on a keto diet 16 months and have completely come off my fibromyalgia meds and kept my A1C down to normal . I haven’t had a headache in 16 months. Keto has changed my life . I still have some anxiety but so did both my parents.
Marilyn Hamilton I am not on insulin but was on 3 different meds everyday and I am now on 1/2 the meds I was on and hoping to stop part of that at my next dr appt.
I am a type II diabetic and was on insulin. 5 days into a Keto diet and I have not had to take any diabetic meds yet. A1c is normal, sugars consistently in 80s.
Wha were your symptoms ? I have twitching all over my body , eye floaters , burning sensation and muscle pain .im not sure what condition I have . I do keto though
I use to eat like a dextrose-addicted rhino...looked like one too. Wanted to jump off a bridge, but rhinos can't get their legs over the railing. Fortunately I found your videos and read your book. My weight dropped, A1C went from 10 to 5, and pain level eased. Your information helped 100%!!! I fell off the keto wagon last year and became carb addicted once again, with the return of a fluffy belly, high A1C and pain. Have lost 10lbs since returning to keto one month ago. Glucose levels are down and pain easing. I must stick to it! Thank you for sharing your health knowledge Dr. Berry!
Love you Dr. Berry! I have had fibromyalgia and CFS for 30 years. I have been mainly vegetarian about 64 years and I am not going on an all meat diet but I do believe that works for some people mainly because of what they are not eating. I am now 81 my A1C is 5 my thyroid is good, I still have my gallbladder. I’m sure what you say is true but I am thinking there are more things that cause problems. I get instantly sick from food additives - flavoring, color and preservatives. Mostly Fibro is now under control but I can get flair ups. MAGNESIUM helped me greatly. I soaked in a warm Epsom salt bath before going to bed and took tablets. I also got time release potassium script from my doctor. I am liking mostly plain vegetable beans and rice diet with sweet potato and baked white potato as well and salads. Also some fruit but not juice, drink lots of water and plain tea. been getting great results from intermitted fasting last 5 months. There is one thing that people don’t seem to mention. From the start of all this pain was sore lumps in my neck and at the base of my skull then going down my spine along the energy meridian. I put 2 tennis balls in a sock and tied the sock at the end. Put this at the base of my skull/top of my neck and lie on it for several minutes. Then move it down my spine to all the spots that hurt. Need to look at sunlight every morning and turn off lights before going to bed. Improved my sleep quality.
*🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Finally a doctor that breaks it down and understands completely. It's been well over 14yrs suffering with Fibromyalgia and diagnosed only most of those years bc certain doctors told me basically it was nothing. Since my diagnosis, I've done so many tests even some more than once to rule out before and after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Including PT. I started Keto 2 yrs ago while weening myself off of certain medications that were harming me with terrible side effects. Keto can be challenging as well as exercising but I saw a difference. This pain is no joke 😢 Some my days wanting to give up but I'm not quitting. When I get off track, I try to get right back on.(cheat meals) Nothing is easy but consistency is key. Now I know what is needed and more importantly what supplements would help manage the process. Thank you Dr. Berry for sharing this information because I've been dealing with flare ups on and off wondering what could I do next. Bless you!💜💜*
Lady Empress good on you! Stick with it and find good UA-cam Keto people you like and follow them. Apart from the good Dr Berry I love Headbangers Kitchen. He said one day... “if you go off Keto it’s not the end of the world, just go straight back on with the next meal and keep going”..I say happiness is a journey we all need to realise just like anything else... we have to work at it! Being pain free is a great motivator. Namaste 🙏
This guys days a lot of good stuff in this video, but as someone who suffers from fibromyalgia, I'll take the "temporary relief" from wherever i can get it!!! I take muscle relaxers and narcotic pain medicine to help with the fibro and neck/back pain from spinal issues. I think it was in poor taste to compare taking these legal, prescribed medications to "drinking a fifth of vodka" or using heroin 'just to get temporary relief'. Statements like that usually come from people that have never suffered from chronic pain. I'm just trying to get by day to day. I don't need to be a "martyr" and suffer any more because people look down on narcotic medications. Hopefully, i won't need them (or less often) with these dietary changes. I have tried virtually everything I can find to help get rid of fibro pain EXCEPT changing my diet. When I was diagnosed 12 years ago, I thought it was impossible for my diet to cause such severe symptoms throughout my body. Over the years, I'm finally realizing that dietary habits are probably a big component to fibro. I'm going to make these dietary changes and hope for the best! I love hearing others success stories, they give me hope ❤🎉
I'm a PT and I've seen several patients follow a low carb keto diet and report significant improvements in their pain levels and this will motivate them more than anything to be physically active
Eating this way, for me, has gotten me off fibro meds, muscle relaxers, and pain prescriptions very quickly, and I mean within a few weeks. I now can tell which foods affect me very quickly. I don’t have the cramps, unless I go off keto for a couple days and then, boy doI know it. Oh, and I have barely any arthritis pain anymore. Thank you Dr. Berry for all your videos and your book and for helping all of us who are looking for a natural way to heal our bodies.
I just started this journey, been on carnivore for a month. I saw great benefits during the first 3 weeks but the last 1-2 weeks my pain has started to return for some unknown reason. Did you experience this? How was it been for you so far and how long did it take to completely heal, if ever. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
@@ragnarralle I would say, just really watch the carbs. Have you introduced anything back into your diet that might be causing some of the inflammation? Something that your body might be hyper-sensitive to? I try to stay mostly carnivore, but the substance that causes my joints to have a flare up is glutens. Any flour, rice, corn, etc. I have a friend that still has some issues with the fibro, but was much worse than mine and still has some issues after a couple years, but nothing like it was, and her diabetes has totally reversed. Hope this helped. Also, I didn’t just quit my meds cold turkey. I weaned off as my body heeled. I was on Celexa and Gabupentin, and some other meds. Please keep me posted on you progress, I am very interested.
Great video!! My fibromyalgia is almost gone since starting keto. I'm now carnivore and no fibro pain, I didn't put it together until now! Thanks, Dr. Berry 😊
Carnivore for the win, go tribe! My wife has said the same, less carbs. more fat and red meat has certainly made her feel better. She's not Carnivore, but we are modified Keto and she has fibro. He's onto something with Carnitine, I actually went and read the studies and to my surprise it also mentioned improvement of peripheral artery disease and other conditions, which she also has. They had improvement in walking distance and speed and my wife has real problems walking any distance and speed. Seems like beef's on the menu even more often now. We had already been leaning this way for a while, using lard, butter, not garbage seed oils and plant oil products like shortening and margarine etc. eating meat every day and eating more beef too especially. Now they are finding those refined plant oils (aside from the ones Ken has said are not too bad, like Olive and he's right they are) cause mental decline in people too. Vegetable oils in particular are guilty of this. Humans are facultative Carnivores, I'm convinced. We need to ditch a very large portion of the modern diet as humans. It's mistakes are quite clear now.
How long were u on it? I was on a very strict meat only diet when I was pregnant in my 40s for gestational diabetes and it did nothing for me 😭 was on it for a few months
I dont have fibromyalgia, but I do have reflex sympathetic dystrophy (the most painful syndrome known to man). The proper human diet gave me my life back. I no longer ache from head to toe. I no longer have insomnia. I no longer have chronic migraine. I no longer have to miss special occasions in life. I wish all of the myriad of doctors I had seen over the past 40 years had known that eating properly could drastically turn my health around. I was never overweight, actually always a bit too thin, but always felt horrible. I also reversed kidney failure. I look at food as fuel, not entertainment. When I eat with someone, I look at them as the entertainment, not what's on the plate in front of me. Food is not the boss of me! (There is such freedom in that statement). See you on March 21 at the adapt conference, Dr. Berry.
I've been suffering from Fybro for over 20 years. Undiagnosed until 2015... A couple of years ago my MD suggested I try a vegan diet, I lost a lot of weight (from ~70kg to 62kg in 4 months) and my fybro was getting worse every day, I couldn't do anything, even walking to the supermarket resulted in pain and the need to sleep. After some research, I switched to paleo and cold showers for a while and started to feel a little better. Enough to start taking longer walks and carefully working out, which improved my health even more. Since then I avoid fruit, added sugar foods, processed foods, softdrinks and alcohol and try to eat as much protein (meat, eggs, milk, nuts) as I can and while my fybro is still there, it is much more bearable. CBD and THC also help when I occasionally go off script. I also try to only eat in an 8 hour window, between 10.00 and 18.00 and eat protein within 20 mintues of my work outs. Cold is still a big factor in my case, during the summer I'm doing so much better, but if it gets below 16 Celcius it gets worse. I take daily Vit. B2, B3, D3, K2, and Magnesium and will add Iodine asap! About a year ago I started taking Nattokinase and that has helped me a lot, I feel it has effect on my fatigue levels, muscle cramps and the subsequent after-pain. Overall 2023 has been my best year with Fybro in ages!
I go with The Mediterranean Diet. I have a great doctor that has helped me with my fibromyalgia. Being a carnivore has not helped at all. Glad it works for others, however red meat in moderation. I feel great, I take vitamin D and magnesium along with a folic acid. I work to eat foods that are anti inflammatory. And pomegranate juice helps. It is all about moderation.
I've been on keto for 2yrs. My fibro is so much better! I used to have to lay down and rest after work before i could make dinner and be mom with my kids. I also spent 1-2 days a month in bed, unable to function due to pain and profound fatigue. Now, I eat so much better and my ability to function is massively better! Not perfect, I need regular sleep, stretching and managing my stress to keep myself well; but i never need to rest after work, i walk at break time for the mental health benefits and I never have to spend the day in bed.
Yes....when I had it..my kids were young and I worked and I would get so exhausted after a shower...i had to rest and even driving ...i would have to pull over and sleep in my car. My mom was always worried about me.
I used to be much the same before going keto. I would come home after work with that exhausted "sunburned" drained feeling and I needed to just crash & burn. Everything has changed now. Thankfully I never took prescription meds for my fibro. I stared managing it with essential oils when I learned more about them. The information I've obtained from Dr. Berry and a few other natural doctors on UA-cam is a Godsend!!
Yes! Being a mom of little ones specially and having Fibro is terrible! I think that even makes me stress more and aggravates the symptoms. I feel like poop, but I want to do so much! Then it triggers the “I’m a terrible mom” feeling. Then depression. The noise too! My ears get so so sensitive as well as to the touch or even talks hurt. Then I get irritable because I’m overstimulated AnD in pain. It’s tough! But I pray every morning and it helps greatly.
Pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis has controlled my life for 40 years I'm trying keto/ carnivore struggling but not giving up on it I know need to commit to being consistent with it. Lyrica had allergic reaction, Cymbalta gave me high blood pressure I had prescription for Vicodin, Percocet and Fentanyl also Soma I spent 15 years in bed 90 percent of time in pain as prescriptions only took edge off so from a pain level of 9 down to a 7 ! Off those meds at first difficult but found out I could be more physical and out of bed ( still pain but felt better than on meds) I still struggling to live with pain, trying to do some exercise (.pool) and now converting from SAD to keto/ carnivore I'm seeing improvement and hope that I never thought was possible Thank you for encouraging information
I've suffer from Fibromyalgia for years and I eat a lot of wheat, oats and starch. My doctors did not tell me that this was causing my pain and wanted to put me on Lyrica and other antidepressants, even telling me I need to go see a psychiatrist. I am going to try your solution, because it only make sense...Thank you so much!
@@alyb8058 Did you say you have a problem with acid reflux as well? I really gotta make a change in my diet, expecally from sugar substitutes and less coffee (I consume 4-6 cups a day) thank!
Please let us know at some point how you're doing under this new eating plan. I don't have fibromyalgia, but I do want to share this with friends who do if I proves to be helpful. Thanks.
I've had fibromyalgia for 41 yrs. I'm a retired RN and it was frustrating to have doctors look at me like I was a crazy hypochondriac. No one took the malady seriously. I have a MTHFR genetic defect. I think it's common with fibro. Thank you for helping.
Same here. FM/CFIDS 25 years...can't tolerate synthetic drugs...Keto and "supplements" keep me alive. I too found I have MTHFR defect and concur that this is common (I wonder if studies have been done on MTHFR defects w/FM or CFIDS--called ME in Europe)?
ehlers danlos, especially type three, hypermobility type, is often associated with fibro, mthfr gene, me/cfs and many other things. I'd highly encourage anyone looking into it. There are many types, you dont have to have elastic skin or be super bendy either. I'm an RN too and I understand your frustration. As an aside, there is a video on cream vitamins and there are case studies on autism, fibro and a few other things, and its amazing. wish i could give you the link but you'll have to search. take care!
Me too. Found out about MTHFR from the lady at the Vitamin Shoppe. And then my Dr. told me to take 1000 mg of folic acid...No way..you aren't supposed to take folic acid at all. Sadly most flour is enriched with folic acid. Could be why many are saying to stay away from carbs. I found that along with taking Methyl Folate, B1, and Sam-E really helped alot with pain and other issues, also I doubled taking B complex for a couple months and felt much improvement. I take very little pain killer now but still not totally better yet. Basically all the B vitamins are for the nervous system.
@@ladybugsarah6671 you should try increasing your red meat consumption for the most natural b vitamins! Its awful what drs and other professionals suggest.. I feel awful saying it being a nurse but the wool has been pulled over our eyes. I've been ketogenic under 20g net carbs for over 2 years. It's helped with a lot of symptoms, it's definitely worth a try, I'd encourage all to try 3-6 months to give it a fair shot. Learn about the "keto flu" to be aware on how to reduce symptoms going in. Lots can be prevented! I believe if eating a balanced diet, we should be eating all we need. The only exceptions are vit d as I don't get enough sun in Canada, and salts x3 as the soil is depleted and foods do not have enough alone. I have a keto for chronic disease group on fb if anyone is interested. ✌
@@dana102083 "Keto flu" is that like the Herxheimer effect? I'm actually going through that now.. I did an upload dose of Iodine kelp and wow it is pulling something out. It is believed that the chemicals they put on the plants keeps them from pulling out the nutrients from the ground also. ugh. And when I did get my vit D up to par I still didn't feel better at all. As a matter of fact I was feeling even worse. It was the B vitamins that did it for me. But I had to take enough for a deficiency not just a maintenance dose.
First sorry for my English but i must share with you my short story. I spend more then 3k for my physiotherapy and help me a lot but not even close to keto. After 4 months of keto i don't have any symptoms of fibro... Now it's 13 months and zero pain!!! No physiotherapy!!!

Thanks for this segment. I’ve been dealing with fibromyalgia now for 20 years. It has been a journey of many twists and turns. The one thing I started with was a warm water arthritis friendly program. You need to try to move and yes housework counts, so does a 5 minute walk. Supplements are important and I take magnesium and just started taking iodine daily. Salt is important on the keto diet. Now on the ketogenic diet for almost one year I have lost 37 lbs and the biggest difference I find is when I wake in the morning. I used to wake feeling groggy, unrested and in pain- don’t matter how much sleep I got. Not long into the ketogenic diet I didn’t feel like a piece of 💩 in the am. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! NOW I’m not cured but I feel better than I have in 20 years. I still have pain and have to take it day by day and some days are a write off but if you can do small positive actions each day, it pays off!!!! You have to show up for yourself because no one else will. Its up to you to try to get some control back and keto CAN do that for you. Keto can be easy but there is a learning curve. My advice is Try to just cut out the processed food, sugars and carbs keep it simple and eat eggs, meat and green veggies. Try a food tracking app like carb manager and just see what you do eat. Watch Dr. Berry, Dr Eric berg take your time . Slow and steady wins the race and you are worth it. Keto is a lifestyle change that WILL bring about positive changes. Its definitely worth all the work I’ve put into it over the last year. Thanks to Dr Berry I was able to educate my self and help heal my body.
HI Janice. Your comment seems very genuine. I am cautious about being fooled into some strange things. But this seems to be quite a game changer if you read the comments. I think I will give it a go. 30 years with fibro and plantar fasciitis is too long. thanks for your comment
@@mattoneill1272 Honestly what Dr Berry says is true!!! Finding out that sugar, along with wheat and dairy were not my friend changed my life. Despite what “ they”say what you eat does matter and you need to find what works and doesn’t work for you!!! Good luck on your journey
Dr. you are exactly correct! I have struggled with Fybro for 30+ years after a severe car accident C5-6, T6-7, L3 compression fractures, ribs, collar bones, etc.. I have purchased every gadget, vitamin and seen countless doctors, all have laughed in my face! I started Keto April 2019, down 30lbs and feeling much better! I still have flare ups and working towards Carnivore, but I know I'm finally on the right path! Weaning myself off of Duloxitine, Hydromorphone and other meds! GREAT GREAT VIDEO, just wish I saw it 30 years ago!!
I really am glad I watched this video.. I don’t feel so hopeless.. I started eating my seeded sourdough bread again.. it’s like a drug for me.. I put avocados on the bread toasted.. nothing better.. n then I started eating Bulgarian plain yogurt.. well I’ve been bedridden for over a month.. I just turned 70 n I’m not wanting to quit working .. I just needed some new direction PLUS when I’m in a mess of pain I can’t think or remember some of the many things I’ve learned.. thank you for all you info… I’m gonna get myself back on track .. I saved your channel here so I’ll get notified.. n then I can also come back to recall … thanks again
He is telling you the absolute truth! I went on a keto diet. I had already stopped drinking sodas before I started it. Wishing 3 days, my fibromyalgia pain was gone! I had more energy than I had in 30 years and my arthritis pain was gone. Skin problems disappeared over time also and I felt better than I had since I was a kid. I was sleeping better too.
I have fibromyalgia and I just started eating Keto, which just blows my mind to find something so simple could be the answer! When I was little, my mom fed my sister & I heavy, fried, carb foods because she had very limited grocery money! She was a great cook but lots of potatoes, fried okra, macaroni, etc. Thank you Dr. Berry! I love all your videos! You're great!
Bless you for posting this video, Dr. Barry! I'm about to turn 62 in 11 days, and have been permanently disabled for the last 32 years. It began with a severe spinal injury, and 2 failed surgeries, hundreds of injections and epidurals, every drug you can think of at high doses for peripheral neuroparlthies, and my spine is extremely twisted, partly from a failed ablation. I also have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I'm weaning myself from the last small dose of prescription meds, too. Hopefully only a couple of weeks to go without anything disastrous happening from that. Covid 19 and a recent relocation 900 miles away has kept me from getting to a new doctor, but medicaid won't cover alternative treatments anyway, so i'm not eager to see one lol. I thought that going organic and eating gluten free as often as i can would help, and I already ate a pretty healthy diet... no processed anything, and lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Argh. Now i find this. Thank you, thank you, so much! It'll be interesting now to see how i'll change my diet or be able to get these supplements, as being forced to retire after working 10 years only gets you SSI and $64/ in food stamps. I'm still extremely grateful, and I hope i don't lose any more weight on this if i'm able to figure out how to do it. I'm skinny already lol. May you and yours be richly blessed for all you do.
I’ve had FMS for over ten years now, and this video is a confirmation that I’m on the right track to recovery. I noticed a few years ago when I went gluten free (for skin and digestive issues), that my fibromyalgia pain drastically diminished. It’s astonishing actually. I attribute it to the amount of sugars I reduced, although I still ingested refined sugars. And still experienced some level of pain, albeit much less. This year I decided to reduce sugars altogether. Still working on this (oh it’s hard!) but I’m thankful to come across this video to keep me moving in the right direction. Thank you for posting this!
@@katd367 keep at it! Four years since I’ve posted that comment and I’m still gluten free. I’ve been recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, which was what my skin and pain issues have been attributed to. Being gluten free has helped keep my inflammation markers down, along with other dietary changes and natural remedies. It’s been tough at times but totally worth it!
Dr you’re the greatest. I have a lot of faith in you. I have had fibromyalgia for 35 years or more . I’m going to follow everything you’ve been saying and see the results. The way you speak and the knowledge you give seems to make a lot of sense. I will be following you doing what you advise and keeping in touch. Thank you God Bless. Relief would be wonderful. Some days I don’t even want to get out of bed. I tell my Rheumatologist and he just shakes his head and then I leave with no help or advise. I’m sure a lot of people on here know what I mean. Thank you for your medical knowledge of this disease which has been making my life for many years miserable. Hoping this will be my new beginning. 😊🙏🏻
I know this will be unpopular here but carnivore and intermittent fasting made my fibromyalgia far worse. I'm now trying a diet of meat / fish, salad and fruit with many small meals throughout the day. Seems to be helping. Vitamin B supplements seem to help too.
I was sick for most of my life. My first diagnosed issue was anemia at the age of 6 - started on prescription iron then. I had one issue after another, always sick with something, had pneumonia and bronchitis every year and inner ear infections almost as often. In my thirty's, I started aching all over, some days I couldn't even get out of bed. I was tested for lupus, MS, Lyme disease, etc...and finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was immediately put on several prescriptions, which turned me into a zombie. I stopped taking the meds and started researching and changed my diet to a more Paleo diet. I still didn't feel great, but was able to function. At the age of 50 I found my now Dr. (Who I adore) and she was the first Dr of the many many I had seen who listened to my life history and immediately said that I had a bunch of red flags for Celiac disease. She tested me, and sure enough - all that time my real underlying cause of all my symptoms was undiagnosed Celiac. That was 4.5 years ago, and working with my Dr with correct supplements and diet (she immediately put me on a keto diet) I now feel better at 54 than I did at 34! I've been carnivore for several months, and NEVER have to take pain meds anymore. I sleep well, and have the energy to work a physically demanding job and still have a life outside of work. Diet truly is everything!
This video helped me so much, ancestral supplements helped me as well. Doing "ketovore" I'm still having pain in my thumbs and arm's but not all over like before. It's only been 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to healing more and more. Thank you so much for what you do. Sometimes I can't stop shedding a couple tears because I never thought I could feel so much better. Lots of blessings to you 🙏😊
I have been Keto since January 2019, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia years ago, put on numerous drugs and nothing helped . It was debilitating. Keto has reversed it all. I am off all meds and basically pain free. Thank you Dr Berry for this video and all the work you are doing !!!
I think there can never be enough videos on cholesterols and debunking meds for those. Also teenagers and Keto, my teenage daughter is trying to convert over and is struggling... doing my best to help her ..
I’ve been eating strict/proper keto for over 6 mos. In addition to fibro, I have several autoimmune diagnoses, and other comorbidities. I have experienced drastic improvement in all of the symptoms of each issue, including fibro. I’ve also reversed T2D, improved all bad bloodwork to the point of not needing the handful of meds I was prescribed -that only made everything so much worse, and I’ve lost over 70lbs in that time. I fully believe I can completely heal the rest of my issues if I continue this lifestyle. But even if things never improve further, I am living a much happier and functioning life now than I was 6mos ago. Six months ago I was fat, sick, miserable, and honestly not sure how to continue to live the rest of my life the way I was. I never want to feel like that again, and this lifestyle makes that possible. Thanks Dr. Berry for sharing your videos. They have quite literally saved my life! ♥️
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and had an positive ANA. I suffered since my teens I’m now 41 yrs old. I’ve had so many different symptoms come and go throughout the yrs. it been over 2 yrs since doing keto/carnivore plus intermittent fasting. I refused to get on strong medication and decided to try this way of eating for 30 days to see if it would help. As you can see I still eat this way. For me after 4 months on this way of eating I was in remission and feel better in my 40’s then I ever have. Now I’m doing more carnivore to fix my IBS so far it’s been getting better. I know it take time but I will slowly heal my gut. I love your videos by the way. There are so many things this way of eating has healed I will never go back. My daughter’s have active ANA’s as well and are now joining me with this lifestyle so they don’t have to suffer as I did for so many yrs.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Here in the Netherlands, I was told to learn to live with it. No one mentioned diet. I started keto 3 months ago and I've been feeling better than I have in years. I'm much more active and feel happier because my symptoms gave decreased. I noticed the difference when I got more energy and my skin stopped hurting. And it just kept getting better from there.
I battled with Fibromyalgia for years. It was terrible to live with, barely able to hold a pot, in pain every time I tried to pull the covers up and over me at bed time.. I was in constant pain and always tired. About a year ago I started doing Keto. Within a week or two my fibromyalgia backed right off, almost completely disappearing. Today I am still living a Keto lifestyle, and will always eat this way as I have never felt better. I do not want to ever live with fibromyalgia pain again!!! Today I feel great.. have tons of energy, and the weight loss has been hugely beneficial! Great video.. so nice to see what has happened to me in video form! Love Dr. Berry :)
I'm 68, 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and high cholesterol. Health has declined for past 14 years, pain increased. I went carnivore in February and have lost 45 pounds, 15 more to go. Feeling better today than I have for a long time. Life is so much simpler. Thank you for guiding me to a lifestyle that truly improved and extended my life.
I spent 20yrs with fibromyalgia. I got to the point I could nolonger go on. It had to stop. So I started researching nutrition and human biology. It was Keto that gave me the way to put all my research into practice. Im now in my 3rd year on keto IF and havent had a flare up in all this time. I still have arthritis but there isnt a problem as long as I stay away from bread. Grains cereals and milk are my poisons.
You can also rid your arthritis with a diet change. Watch some video's with Mikhaila Peterson, and Phil Escott. Keto saved their lives, but carnivore cured them completely. Some people just cannot handle plants very well.
@@Lamz.. Thankyou for the suggestion. You are correct. I figure I need a little longer to heal. I do eat a more meat heavy diet these days but have found that complete carnivore isnt quite right for me at the moment. 👍
@@ShipCreek To add: also intermittent fasting can be of help, just skipping breakfast, and no snacking in the evening and morning. It all attributes to your well-being. But whatever your choices may be: get well soon, it is really possible!
We are all different in our makeup and I to have a problem with grains. Mainly Wheat. Now that I'm 71 and on keto. I remember my Mom telling me I had eczema on my face as a little baby. Not knowing she covered my face with mercurochrome ( I survived) but that my Grammie who lived with us at the time insisted I had to have pablum. not the store-bought stuff but just a mixture of flour and evaporated milk and sugar. No wonder i was such a big healthy baby. She actually said that to me one time.
I have not been diagnosed with fibro, but I went on a low carb, no sugar diet for the first time in my life 2 -3 years ago. I was always sore, achy, sluggish and dull brained. I could never lose more that 5-10 pounds. Period. When I did the low-carb no sugar diet, my sugar cravings went away, I had NO pain, NO soreness, NO inflammation. I felt like I was in my 20s. High energy and lost 35-40 pounds. I have kept it off for the longest amount of time that I ever have in my life. I have allowed some sugar and carbs back and am back to having some discomfort and am trying to get back onto the low carb diet again. I honestly am beginning to wonder if the low carb, no sugar diet is the secret to good health and longevity.
I'm having sinus surgery on Tuesday. Once the infection is gone from my body, life is going to be great! I have been miserable since 6 months after my other sinus surgery in '21. The infection makes my fibromyalgia sooo bad. I've got the freezer stocked with rib eye, bacon and butter. I'm ready! Thanks, Dr. Berry, keep spreading your PHD philosophy!
A Rheumatologist ruled out RA and Lupus. He said I have Osteoarthritis and possibly Fibromyalgia. I have found that when I eat a diet that includes sugars, starches, carbs, my joints BURN and my body hurts all over. When I live Keto/Carnivore, the burning disappears and the body pain/arthritis is decreased significantly. It seems to me that sugar and carbs absolutely cause most of my symptoms.
When I started Keto almost 2 years ago my labs were off the charts and I was in chronic pain. And now pain is gone, labs are normal. And I lost 90 lbs in the process. I do best on meat heavy, minimal green veg diet.
Thank you for sharing this info. I have fibro as well as osteoporosis. For years I have suffered. Honestly, suicide has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. I gave myself shots in the stomach everyday for 2 years to stop the bone loss. My own family doesn't comprehend. They have even said I am a hypochondriac. Pain that never stops. That is my life.
I’m glad you chose to live. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, even though it can last for over decades. Hang in there and take your health into your hands. Love and peace being sent to you and others who suffer.
I've got Fibromyalgia, Crohn's Disease, arthritis, anxiety and depression. I'm also histamine intolerant, can't eat nightshade vegetables or eggs. If I follow your diet there's not very much left that I can eat! I would be living on lettuce and water!
I have had fibromyalgia (my doctor's diagnosis - I'd never heard of it) and for me it is psychogenic pain. Now it's possible my fibromyalgia is associated with those markers you discuss because of stress eating, or that I'm under less stress in the first place if I eat better. I don't know. I've noticed repeatedly that the pain comes up as a distraction when I'm trying to resolve some other psychogenic problem or am overwhelmed by stress and desperately need to back off. One time the pain was so bad that people thought I might be having a heart attack and went to the hospital in an ambulance - massive pain, vomiting - but for that particular part of my body I've sometimes been able to make it disappear once I figured out what emotion/situation was triggering it. I think in my case it's cPTSD at the root. John E. Sarno pioneered this. He thought that the brain was restricting circulation to the affected muscles (and reduced oxygen causes the pain). I'm assuming fibromyalgia is a set of symptoms with multiple possible causes.
❤️ never been diagnosed with fibromyalgia - I have SCA8 ... lots of similar symptoms. Eliminating sugar & gluten was a fantastic starter!! Once I got into a habit of eating Keto I experienced great relief! I'm on no medications. The multi & other vitamins I take are actually absorbed much better. I'm convinced sugar is terrible & don't feel like going back to eating the way I did even for a "cheat" day - it's only making me suffer unnecessarily ...
So last year I was eating strict keto. My loved ones noticed that I was moving better and completing daily tasks easier. The end of last year through now, I've been pretty much eating whatever. Last year I was on zero meds, besides some occasional ibuprofen or Excedrin. This year I'm on 4 meds for fibro and struggling. I've been trying to get back to strict keto for a month, lowered my blood sugar by 100 points and counting and am looking forward to feeling so much better again!!
Erin Salser I did Keto for 2 weeks and then ate a giant fatty roast and heard about Carnivore the next day. It was holding me so well that it just clicked and I started it, and started watching doctors videos as well. So do the same! If you have been off Keto-start again and get your electrolytes so no Keto flu! Stock up on meat-get rid of the vegetables and seed oils! Eating two meals only really helps!

I have suffered from fibromyalgia for several years. When I began eating a clean keto diet my pain level went down tremendously. On a scale from 1-10 I am usually at a 12. Eating a keto diet my pain level went down to about a 3. That is amazing for me. I have gotten off the keto diet and now my pain level is back 10 fold. I am starting to get back on track and can’t wait to get this under control again.
I am continually amazed when I watch videos like this to hear over and over again "...your doctor probably isn't aware" or "...if your doctor won't order the tests" or "your doctor is operating under an old paradigm that just isn't true anymore..." Are doctors basically trained just to be pharma sales reps? I mean, isn't it their job to know what the latest research is? I quit going to doctors decades ago after being prescribed things that caused so many side effects I decided they were not about health.
Yes! I went keto and my fibromyalgia pain decreased dramatically!!! This weekend I are some carbs. I really wish I had not done so! The pain is back!! I'm looking forward to going back to keto ASAP!!
I have fibromyalgia and have tried several medications over the years. They all made me gain weight which would further add to my pain. Two years ago I weaned myself off my medications since they weren't helping. In March of 2021, I started a carnivore diet with IF. The first 3 days were hell but by the 4th day, it was like night and day. I stayed carnivore for 2 months and hadn't felt that good in YEARS! Then this weekend, my grandkids came to visit and we were busy doing "fun" things. I got lax and ate the fast food and carnival food or whatever was available at the various places we were at. Within 2 days, my fibromyalgia was back to pre-carnivore pain levels. Man, did I learn the hard way. It proved that sugars/grains cause elevated pain levels. It's back to carnivore for me!
I started suffering with Fibromyalgia about 3 years ago. Miserable. I started Keto and been taking all the supplements Dr Berry recommends. After 6 months on keto...no more joint pain, improved depression and mood, exercise tolerance greatly improved, 32 pounds down!
Dear Dr Berry. Thank you so much! You are helping me every day so much. I have had severe pain from fibromyalgia & neuropathy. I have had 4 toes amputated. I was in the hospital about a month ago & all they fed me were carbs. My son told me about you & l doing so much better!!!! God bless you and your family!
Was in hospital 1 night. Fed me a 7" stack of pancakes, oj, sugary applesauce. I fasted. Asked later for 2 sandwiches. Ate the meat, veggies, and left the 4 pieces of white bread. You can ask for sandwiches anytime.
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and arthritis for forty years. I have been unable to work or exercise for years. I am so frustrated by not being able to have a normal life. Unable to go to the store or even walk around the block. I used to be fairly active and loved the outdoors. I have been prescribed so many medications that I have been taking 47 pills per day. My mom called and told me that she talked to someone this morning with fibromyalgia that has been using the carnivore diet. She recommended that I research it. I have been watching several of your videos and am excited about starting the carnivore diet. It would be a dream come true to finally be able to lose the 100 lbs that I have gained from all these different medications and get my activity level back up. I finally have some hope! Thank you
Thank you Dr. Besides the diet what has helped many of my patients is LDN (low dose naltrexone) 1.5 to 4.5 mgs. It’s no buisness for big pharma that’s why there are many detractors, but it really helps this patients. I post this here in the spirit of helping the most people possibly. Also with all my respect for your work.
A big thank you Dr. Berry! There are no words in the English language to express our gratitude for your kindness in sharing this vital information. 35 years of hurting has been way too long to suffer. Have listen to several of ur videos and have already began applying them to my life. Our hats are off to you!! Thank you once again!!!!!!
I watched up to 4th min so far. I respect what you saying, and there was a long time that I could support your theory. Here is my saying. I've been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome, then Fibromyalgia, then Osteoarthritis, etc. Apparently, since my early years, 3yo and so, I cried and couldn't sleep because of pain in my legs. In my school times, I remember having stomach aches often. Then had some surgery with removing some lymph nodes. The surgery left internal scars, but at that time it wasn't recognized yet. I remember, to experiencing severe lower back pain in my early teens. But I was quite active, I enjoyed running and other sports. In my twenties, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis that was not confirmed several years later by the other Rheumatologist. There was a Lupus concept, due to high antibodies (that have been high, like always), then, it was not confirmed either. I woud say, I noticed some periods of time when I would have "flar ups" for about 2-4 months and my pain would be a step more severe, then after a few months stabilisation of it, and I would experience another "flare up". I tried Pregabalin reaching the highest dose which turned my brain into melasa, but it didn't touch the pain experience in any mean. Recently, Im on the highest allowed dose of Codein, combined with other well-known anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving drugs such as Diclofenac, Paracetamol, etc. I contracted Covid for the very first time this March, which was not too bad itself, but the pain in my joints, bones, muscles, ligaments, and so became unbearable and I'm really struggling to cope with the pain. I was several years on a Fat diet by dr Kwasniewski 3:1:0.5 (fats:proteins:carbs (in the form of vegs and the limited selection and amount of fruits)). I really liked this diet (however, I wouldn't say it gave me any diference in respect to severity of the pain). For some reason, I guess it was inconvenience, I stopped this sort of food for the sake of a "normal, balanced diet". And again, in the last few years I kept up to so popular Keto diet, including trial of intermittent fasting within a few months. And, in the latest few months I became fed up with all these experiments, as my pain is so bad and hopeless, so I gave up on everything. But, I might say something controversial now... So I apologise at the front to anybody if I upset anyone, so I have to highlight now T R I G E R point related to A L C O H O L. Please, DO NOT READ if you have some re. alcohol difficulties. I noticed, that I increased the regularity of "night drinking". Just for a simple reason, it's the first thing, that actually seems soothe my pain a bit, and when I achieve the "hum stage" in my head, I'm ready to fall asleep, humming my pain which does not go away but flow. Difficult to explain, but it gives me some kind of comfort. And now, as I know you are a Fibromyalgia expert, please, explain to me how is that work? Why alcohol is the first substance which actually makes a difference to me? And... what I really need to highlight, because I can tell, it comforts me somehow, I feel more kin to use alcohol as numbing treatment. What is the enormous threat of falling into alcoholism. Or! Perhaps, I'm already there, as I would feel ashamed to share it with my doctor? I feel it's something wrong with it! Please, tell me what I can do? Fat diet, keto, drugs... doesn't work for me. It's hopeless...
@@Themostmercifulrabb None of this. I'm on Dukan diet for @ 5 months. Drinking alcohol very occasionally and small amounts. I've lost approx. 15kg. Riding on stationary bike @ 3x per week, 30-40 min, no weight, in this time doing 15-17 miles. Stretching afterwards. Pain improved. Not dramatically, but can feel difference. Not taking codeine recently, just Paracetamol and Diclofenac on regular basis; Codeine only for breakthrough pain, continue Vit D from several years, also, trace minerals but not regularly (mainly on my protein-only-days). I had steroids injection in knees joints a month ago, and it also makes difference.
I was diagnosed at what my rheumatologist stated was “the best and worst time to be diagnosed with fribro”. This was due to the facts that it was late 90’s. Not everyone believed in fibro (and still question it) so it was very difficult to be diagnosed with it. The worst was that there was nothing to prescribe for it since fibro was still at its infancy, at best. Fast forward … once more things were discovered about fibro my dr’s had put me on various different prescriptions. It was horrible. The side effects, at times, were worse than the pain and seriously, I couldn’t stand how they made me feel (or not feel). By that I mean, I needed to sleep all the time. I felt like I was always in a state of feeling drunk or severely buzzed. I referred to this as “window licker” state of being. From there, I had a pain clinic tell me that I could try this and I couldn’t try that, no explanations, just “no”. I’m not that person that will listen to your “no”. I want reason to help me understand. (And basically all I wanted to try was a pain patch. The pain in my neck and shoulders were - and still is - just unbearable most days) When first diagnosed the doctor informed me that the best thing was to change my diet and try to stay at a particular weight. That was miserable (at my age being a single mom and trying to figure out a new way to cook and eat much less afford) but I did it! Fast forward … I had a new primary and she referred me to a pain psychologist … what a fucktard! Keep in mind at this point I had chronic severe pain (diagnosed with controlled RA, fibro and spinal stenosis) and he’s going to tell me that “I find that pain is primarily just a thought pattern) He did a hypnosis session that didn’t even work, I was very aware of what was going on!! I went back to my primary and said I swear if that man tells me one more time that “pain is just a thought and it’s not real”, mark my words I WILL junk punch him and when he’s on the ground I WILL be saying to him “it’s just a thought, pain isn’t real”!!!! Shocking enough, this occurred around 2015ish. So there are still barbaric people that shouldn’t be in the field unless they’ve experienced it themselves!! I still suffer with severe chronic pain, still maintain healthier ways to eat, still maintain exercise all without medications. To me, I’d rather have the quality of life with my loved ones rather than be oblivious to all that this world has to offer! Thank you to the very few medical persons and others that actually recognize and help the world!!
Switching to keto, along with getting my medication levels right, took me from being bed-bound with FM to living a pretty "normal" life again - working full time, travelling, living independently. I've been able to loosen the reigns on my diet now so I can enjoy social outings without having to BYO food, but I know if my pain starts to increase, the quickest way to address it is to cut out all carbs and sugars. I acknowledge that diet will not be a cure-all for everyone but it can definitely lead to an improved quality of life when living with FM.
Just found and will try this. I was misdiagnosed with tick fever and actually had viral rheumatoid arthritis. By the time a different doctor found this the damage was done. I have suffered fibro now about 20 years. No real help doctors but a chiropractor did tell me to drop dairy and wheat. That helped but sugar had to go too. I'm working to go keto. Thanks for the info and all those who share their stories in the comments.
I was told for YEARS that I had fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, and arthritis- I started The Whole 30 over 4 years ago, and did it with no fruit, since I was trying to lower my blood sugar---I went from a fasting sugar of 135 to 80 the first 4 days, and woke up day 5 pain free! That started my journey into low carb, grain free, eventually keto and I got off my meds and found that I didn't have ANY of those 3 things I mentioned at the beginning, just a lot of inflammation caused by high insulin levels! It's amazing how well our engines run when we give them the right fuel😁❤
My arm and shoulder was killing me and I am a musician so, I switched over to Dr. Ken's advice and sure enough, the pain is completely gone. It took about 4 months so you have to be patient.. I'm not sure if I even had fibromyalgia but just changing my diet and making sure I had enough D3 helped (plus exercising)- I am a new person! This is a cure, life changing video...!!!!
I have had Fibromyalgia for almost 30 yrs with little to no help. I started a Keto diet almost 4 weeks ago and what a BIG difference. My pain had gone down by more than 50%. I cant wait for another couple weeks to see how much of my pain is got. The keto diet has help me feel so very very much better. Dr Berry thank you so much for all your help.
Dr Ken is so right on about fibro meds. I took Lyrica years ago and gained 10 pounds in one week! My doctor was shocked as I was physically active moving my mother into her condo that week. I unfortunately gained another 25 pounds on Lyrica as my doc urged me to stick with it. I finally took myself off of it and was able to lose some of the weight gained but never all of it. I was slender and never have been again because of Lyrica. My dear friend had fibro as well and gained 90 lbs on it until finally stopping. She was a slender woman as well and has been considered morbidly obese ever since. Do your research on fibro. Everything Dr Ken is saying is right.
@@moduqueRN it was so long ago, I don’t have that info. Sorry! When it was advertised on TV they always said may gain weight! Lol! The thing that is so irritating is that I have never had problems losing holiday weight, etc. but after taking Lyrica I have never been back to the original slender weight I was. Buyer beware!
@@moduqueRN without appetite increase nor did I increase my food consumption. My personal amateur take on Lyrica is that it changes you on a cellular level. I took Lyrica for Fibro and because of the quick weight gain got a gift- sciatica for the rest of my life! It maybe working for you. They may have changed the formula. My best friend got the worst of it. She was going to give Lyrica the benefit of the doubt and it almost killed her! 90 lbs. gain in weight and she’s only 5’5” and used to be an aerobics teacher. She wanted that slim figure back but only got side effects from the weight gain. But I hope it works for you. Good luck! 😊
Hi, before I watched your video I discovered the link between insulin resistance and fibromyalgia. I decided to try a 36 hour fast once a fortnight for a couple of months. Each time I did one I started to feel better until now I feel like I have virtually reversed it. Although cutting things out of your diet is a long term fix, fasting can be the short term fix. Especially if you’re finding it difficult to stick to the diet that you have set. A 36 hour fast will reverse is healing resistance and heal the cells, without needing the dramatic diet changes. All I know is, that I feel tremendously better and have lost my fibro fog completely. The pain has lessened dramatically and I have got my life back.
Please how are you doing ? Have you continue fasting ? Have you changed your diet ? I am about to try a big fasting, I can't stay like that anymore ... In pain so much 😥 plus anxiety, depression, high cholesterol, low iron, fatigue chronique, premenopause etc I am really discourage right now 😥 Hope you answer and hope you still feeling good ! Oh and can you drink coffee, tea, tisane while fasting ?
@@karine8738 hi my lovely, I haven't done any more fasting since my post, but I have improved slightly since I took ivermectin for pneumonia last year. The symptoms of fibromyalgia almost mimic Lyme disease so I'm wondering if that's really the issue and just requires treatment for Lyme disease. The ivermectin made me 100% cured of pneumonia within one week (50% improvement within hours of my first dose). I think there's a link. When fasting I drank water, tea or coffee but black with no sugar or sweeteners.
@@ruthdean7148 WOW seriiously :) That is awsome :) Happy for you ! I don't think they will prescribed here in Canada Quebec Ivermectin.... :( Thanks for coming back and tell me :)
I have had fibromyalgia for 25 years. I have been out of work since 2021. I have been so frustrated with no answers from my doctors. Thank you for this info. I have started the carnivore diet in February.
I’ve never tried an exotic berry from Jamaica, but I have tried a non-exotic Berry from west Tennessee. Think I’ll stay with the Tennessee physician’s advice.
Over a hundred days carnivore and I've reversed the progression of my fibromyalgia by about 3 to 5 years. I'm hoping that 6 months carnivore will have me healed.
I have had fibro since I was 12 and am now 60. I was diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic after 30K dollars worth of tests. The drugs they gave me were crap. I went to a naturalist and he put me on a gluten free diet and recommended many of the supplements you said. I felt much better, but I still ate gluten free flours and sugar. Only after I went on the keto diet did the pain really stop. I still have problems with fatigue. So it is not a cure all. I ate 2 pieces of gluten free birthday cake for my birthday. The Pain, being extremely tired, and migraine headaches all came back. Going back to strict keto and IF, wish me luck.
Great information 👍 I was diagnosed with fibromylgia in my chest area and I'll definitely try follow these tips and see if it works. Although my doc did prescribed me some muscle relaxant and told me to eat greens and exercise of course. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This saved my life. I've been pain free for 9 months because I followed this. Keto carnivore diet low noodles and potatoes. I've lost 85lbs. I feel great
Thank you doctor
That is awesome! Were you super strict on the carnivore diet?
Was it the carnivore diet or was it losing 85 lbs, just changing your diet and losing that much weight would make you feel so much better. I’ve always thought that too much meat is very hard on the digestive system since it takes so long to digest and doesn’t have any antioxidants.
Meat is not hard to digest at all, it is so very full of best nutrition
Really?
@@akshaydhadwal9731 Yes, my pain was absolutely so bad, I really didn't want to be here anymore. Now I am almost pain free, and I have so much energy. Probably more than I did in my 20s! 😊

So happy for you 🙂 Keep it up.
Can you tell all of what you eat on daily basis ? I want to practice this too
I wish more doctors cared as much as you do. ✌️ 🐯
He doesn't. He is just selling some stuffs in description box and riding on keto wave to make some quick bucks.
He has ex-wives to feed. 😂
Sure thats why he work so hard to provide real knowledge about the coronavirus. Take a hike jellybean.
Only thing Dr Berry sells is his book. He also promotes Redmond's Real salt. The others stuff is suggested if you want. Besides, everyone needs to make a living and his information and delivery is superb.
@@__-bc4bs "real". Lol. Are you one of his ex-wives. 😂
Slippery elm and digestive enzymes for IBS
How is it going?
Best wishes to you.....and stick with it. It works!
What were your symptoms....i was diagnosed with it years ago but got healed at a healing service but I did get flare ups....
Kerrie Crewe Take Prednisone injection and Topomax if it’s right for you it may restore your love life
Make sure you have sufficient vitamin D levels too!
I am so sorry, that must be really unpleasant to live with. I hope you find something that alleviates all the pain for you.

2. Increase vegetables, good fats, protein.
3. Take Vitamin D, Magnesium and Iodine supplements.
4. Exercise

Also cut out any natural inflammatories such as dairy and nightshades. No alcohol and no caffeine.

However even at my age I love life and I want to feel better and be able to do the things I have not been able to do for years
For You is Keto probable the best solution !
Give alpha lipoic acid a try. I get the cheap stuff from Walmart. It will either make a difference or
It won’t.
Did you have bad fatigue and muscles weakness?
I have worked with several people with fibromyalgia--often comorbid with migraine. I also found that the low carbohydrates high animal fats diet is great for fibromyalgia.
yes, sometimes I think diet change has helped so many different diseases. even Lyme disease and Lupus and I have seen it do miracles on a young man who had been diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
I thought we need to eat less meat... some said vengan diet.. is kinda confusing 😕
@@AngelaAStantonPhD it’s digestive tract not track:) High consumption of red meat is not recommended. Leading cause of colorectal cancer.
Yes, it is more of a natural way of eating. Flushes the Frankenfood from our bodies and heals on a cellular level.

How did you get off meds? Ive tried to come off mine but side effects are awful-
Very slowly. I very gradually decreased one med at a time. It took a year.
Mary Yoder can you tell me what is a good keto diet .
I'm not ever pain free due to lasting injuries they made chronic pain
Not at that price ever!
corky52360 wow and wow !!! I want to remember what you said... " not at that price ! " 👌
Alleluia!
It works!
👏🏻👏🏻trauma plays a huge part in chronic pain!
I have FMS and Diabetes 2 also. I was wondering if you are on insulin and if so how has it affected your insulin use. Thanks
Good for you Donald it is exciting isn’t it
thank you for sharing your story ❤
The carnivore diet completely stopped all my fibromyalgia symptoms and before going carnivore I was literally bedridden for years.
wonderful keep it up.
Wow that’s wonderful
I'm so glad this helped!!! Happy dance for you!!!
I was recently diagnosed with this. How long before you felt some relief? Congrats for better health!!!
Berry!
Excellent response. Thanks. The point about the rhino on the bridge so funny. 😂😂😂
How are you with the cfs may I ask?
Yes when you feel better you like to move....when your inflamed not so much.
Do you have recommendations on stretches, exercise that can help?

WOW WOW WOW… encouraging 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻‼️‼️‼️

Berry and a few other natural doctors on UA-cam is a Godsend!!
designeranne80 how long have you been keto? Are your symptoms gone?

Lyrica didn't work for me not for the pain

Hi Nancy. Just curious how you went with the diet?
I am with you, how about growing veggies what ever is on keto diet.
You have come a long way, and giving up sugar is the hardest thing to do!
Good job!

I have had fibromyalgia for at least 45 years or more. I am willing to give it a try.
Elaine Daniels try it. I had it for over 16 years and it has greatly improved my symptoms.
Please give it a good go....mine is gone now. You are stronger than sugar and carbs. I feel better on carnivore.
I am truly going to give it all I have got. I am very tired of hurting. Thank you for the encouragement.
Elaine Daniels you can do it!
Robyn Benson , thanks for your help. Between my Fibromyalgia and arthritis I am a mess. Don’t sleep worth anything.

That's amazing!
I've been suffering all my life and just started keto two weeks ago! Looking forward to seeing results!
Lots of blessings to you 🙏😊
That's great...are you still having good results?! Thxx and wish you continued success 🎉🙏✨
Thank you for watching and sharing your story! Any ideas for future videos?
Wow that’s amazing! Well done!
I am curious if you improved further over the years. If you read this, would you let us know?
Did you have terrible fatigue and muscles weakness?

Does no sugar include no fruit?
I'm having sinus surgery on Tuesday. Once the infection is gone from my body, life is going to be great! I have been miserable since 6 months after my other sinus surgery in '21. The infection makes my fibromyalgia sooo bad.
I've got the freezer stocked with rib eye, bacon and butter. I'm ready!
Thanks, Dr. Berry, keep spreading your PHD philosophy!
I've lost 6 lbs since surgery! I'm stoked.

Hi there, have you checked for a latent virus? Example herpes simplex, ?
Please suggest

I am continually amazed when I watch videos like this to hear over and over again "...your doctor probably isn't aware" or "...if your doctor won't order the tests" or "your doctor is operating under an old paradigm that just isn't true anymore..."
Are doctors basically trained just to be pharma sales reps? I mean, isn't it their job to know what the latest research is? I quit going to doctors decades ago after being prescribed things that caused so many side effects I decided they were not about health.

Can you list what kind of carbs I should avoid please ?

A big thank you Dr. Berry! There are no words in the English language to express our gratitude for your kindness in sharing this vital information. 35 years of hurting has been way too long to suffer. The treatment given that affected me mentally, emotionally and has nearly killed me has been so unnecessary. So glad I didn’t give up and kept searching.
@@kamif3187 Do you have a latent virus? Cold sore herpes virus?
Also, so much respect to Dr. Ken for being realistic with the exercise changes that are achievable with severe FM!
Just found and will try this. I was misdiagnosed with tick fever and actually had viral rheumatoid arthritis. By the time a different doctor found this the damage was done.

You may not realize it but you are a true blessing! I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please don't stop! 👍👍

Up my previous message :) Hope you see it !
Did it help your symptoms?
@@paulabernethy4925 or sure yet. The weather is cold where I live and that triggers my fibromyalgia. I will post when I see a change.
This diet will help you to build healthy cells and tissues, and decrease the chronic inflammation causing symptoms: bit.ly/KETO101
What’s your take on Shingles with keto/carnivore? Not strict with lifestyle. I’m sure the answer is clean up diet.
I suffer from fibermyalgia. Thank you for this very helpful video.
Thank you so much Mr KenDBerry...God bless you!

You are just a salesman with so many links in description box.
Many wives to feed. 😂
Thank you so much Dr Berry you change my life im carnivore for 1 month pain has decreased lost 10 pounds. GOD BLESS YOU.
I’ve never tried an exotic berry from Jamaica, but I have tried a non-exotic Berry from west Tennessee. Think I’ll stay with the Tennessee physician’s advice.
ncplantdoctor you do that!
