Kind of wonder if throwing it would destroy it like regular cargo. Did the same thing w the VOG decoy and that was pretty underwhelming too. Dude didn't stay knocked out for very long and the area of effect is pretty small
So I’ve just gotten to this point and because the emitter doesnt do that much damage when they explode I assume it’s purpose is to keep them spread out a little bit so they all can’t run up on you at once but is only useful if you are on the offensive. I suppose it could help you get away but you might as well not carry the weight and just outrun them in that case
@@v1rtuo5o98 i wouldn’t say it’s useless. It helped me get out of a sticky situation I was stuck in for a bit. I still had to deal with them to deliver my shit but that decoy drew away a group of them to that. Had I not used it I would’ve had to deal with them one by one all at once. Which is super frustrating if you don’t have the right equipment
Did you set it off or did he kick it? Or did a motion sensor set it off? It didn't even knock him out. I think a better way to use this is to use it with a remote stun bomb.
The mules become aggressive when they scan you. The smoke decoy is pinged as cargo and will emit the alarm and orange light. To deploy the decoy, go to the equipment menu. On the ps4 it's accessed via the d-pad. I forget which direction, been awhile.
yeah, the scanner ping reads it as tagged cargo. you drop it and i am guessing proximity triggers the smoke. vog decoy works the same, except it knocks the mule out for a bit
Dude I was being chased and kept trying to equip this in my hand, do you need to select drop? Some instructions in this game are so thorough but sometimes they don't tell you shit. I just want a fricken gun, lol... when do we get our first gun. Nothing more annoying then 4 MULES around you kicking you and you basically have to kite them while spamming V to knock them out one at a time. My first and only death was situation like this :/
Once you select it hold one of the triggers that carries cargo by hand. Sam will drop it if you release one of the triggers. That or you can chuck it towards their scanner by releasing the trigger and pressing the punch button at the same time

It says "Decoy" in the name. Which part of 'decoy' do you not understand? Geez, I guess people like you is why we have safety labels.😂

i think the best benefit it offers, is for a little while, until it is detonated, it draws in the mules to that point

The smoke part is useless. Ditto the VOG one. They aren't knocked out very long and the AOE is underwhelming.
