I know this video is a couple years old already, but I'm hoping to find answers to how to increase my bridge link level, cuz I've done all the stuff you said here... but I've been stuck at a "94" link level forever, and can't seem to move the needle any further no matter what I do. 😩 smh
I pick up people's lost cargo, I donate supplies at shelters & in well placed post boxes, and I'm on my 3rd playthrough of the game, so I built all of the highway a long time ago. I've donate vehicles, and I give other people "likes" for their structures all of the time. 😟 I don't get it. What more can I do?? lol
I'm assuming the Bridge Link goes up to 100 probably right so... ?? What more now?? What else should I be doing? Anybody got any ideas, or... is it already too late for me to increase it, since I'm in the Endgame stage of the game?? Does it only increase when you're playing the story??
Hey, first of all, thanks for watching! Secondly, I pinned your comment in the hope that more people will see it.
As for your issue, I'm not exactly sure what is going on. I can tell you that link levels become exponentially harder to acquire the closer you get to 100. I saw a thread on reddit where someone had a similar issue to yours and they fixed it by returning to earlier areas of the game and building more structures and roads. I'm not sure how robust the online community for Death Stranding is currently, so I can't guarantee this would work for you, but it's worth a shot.
I hope that helps and if it doesn't, then I hope you're able to find the answer!
I'm currently at BL 84 with 251 hours in. Building roads helps, but it's all about getting likes from other players and NPC porters.
So build structures people will actually use. Postboxes in oddball locations aren't very helpful, but generators and ziplines and bridges in convient locations are huge. Or placing signs in locations people will frequent.
There are a few bridges on my server with half a million likes just because of convience, some of them arent even helpful.
I started playing again last week (Ps5 DC) and am officially re-addicted to this game. I eat, breath, and sleep constructing roads and zipline networks. I have so many Zips that I'm constantly running out of Chiral Bandwidth. God damn this game hits differently and its hard to explain how - but if you know, you know.
It's a really great game for sure. You're definitely right too, if you like it, then you'll probably really like it. Otherwise it'll probably be pretty meh. That's alright though, I've always been a fan of polarizing games.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I dropped a like. I hope that helps you in real life lol
Lol, it most certainly does. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Great video!
Thanks for your thoughts bridge links, I’ll have to look into it a bit more. I always thought is was about the more your link the more your items/structures show up in other players worlds.
Thank you very much! I also think it makes sense that sync level would help your structures and items to appear in other players worlds. Do you have any other topics that you'd like to see discussed?
Hello everyone! Do you have any tips to add to this? If not, then do you have questions or future guides/content that you'd like to see? If so, please comment and let me know.
What are the legend things and how do you get more?
@@ImNotFine44 This may be a year late; but "legend" and "legend of legends" ratings are when you complete deliveries on the "hard difficulty" and complete them with outstanding results.
Example: 45 minutes to deliver something and you do it in 5 to 7 minutes instead with it being undamaged. Some are easy; others are very difficult unless you plot your route carefully and possibly have to build structures beforehand to avoid troublesome areas
I have so many questions. Most guides don’t go over questions I have playing the game. Only started a month ago. First I’m not sure if it’s a question or just an observation. Seems like things I left out in the world degrade fast when I’m in timefall. Not the object itself. I find that strange. One idea for a video is to highlight which preppers are unlocked through the story and which ones you can just go do. The idea of the game seems to be about exploring. But some I’ve taken a long journey to only look them up and find out you can’t do them till later
I'm 1yr late to the party but 50 hrs in still learning new stuff good tip/guide tnks
Glad that I could help man! Enjoying the game so far?
Wow! This was really helpful. Thankyou! How do you not have more viewers??? 😳 Keep up the great work dude
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. I hope you're enjoying Death Stranding too, it's an excellent game.
Other than one section near craftsmen, I built all the roads myself, most of them I started contributing first also.
Thank you!! I never exactly understood this and the colored layers ect ect
I'm happy to help! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for info man!
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching and if you'd like to see other topics get discussed, let me know.
Great video. I just finished the game last night on pc via the xbox game pass. I’m glad it was free because that last chapter almost had me delete the entire game. I’m at ch. 15 now and feel like going out to just finish roads and build level 3 items and deliver lost goodies to ask the prepper locations to start with.
I definitely can understand that sentiment. Thank you for watching and I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
this is a great info thanks a lot
Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback.
My tip is to go to any distribution centre, access the terminal and fabricate lots of goodies, like level 3 boots, level 3 power skeletons, weapons and so on then load them into the shared locker. 2k - 3k likes every time.
I play offline. Best experience. Maybe at the end i'll go online. I build all roads and stuff by myself. Very rewarding.
Admittedly, that definitely makes the world feel more apocalyptic. Both playstyles can certainly be enjoyable.
Im playing offline as well. Did your bridge link level up?
@@jasonsayre7257 Not much. I had to go "half" online after finishing most of the story (dont share buildings, no signs etc.). You can change that in the settings.
Plan to go offline on normal mode after I've finished online hard...
yea my bridge link is higher than everything else and its mostly from roads. I don't build much else except for ziplines for the mountains. There are a few other structures I built a while ago but mostly I use other peoples structures.
I enjoyed building structures most of the time, but if other players placed their structures well, then I was happy to use those as well.
@@DarbsRUs yea I've dismantled a few structures of other people, mostly ziplines and a couple bridges that were useless. Some of the ziplines were close to where I needed mine and so I target them by mistake instead of my own. Had to replace theirs as my next one was to be the max distance away of 350 from mine and theirs was too far.
Some bridges just are in the way of your route and they block you.
@@A.Martin Some people seemingly place objects to be deliberately annoying too. Makes me glad that it's really simple to dismantle things.
Making bridges is good tip. I got 17k likes on one of my bridges, I was astonished.
Yes but... just plz don't build them out in the middle of nowhere, going nowhere. 🤦🏻♀️😆 lmao
I spend WAY too much time deleting so many worthless bridges & structures on my map as it is. I don't know why people waste their bandwidth on bridges that don't even cross anything.
It's so damn annoying. 😒 lol
I wanted to connect all the first area with zip lines but the chiral network isn't enough..
Managed to connect port knot to windfarm and distribution center.
From one to another just 1:40 minutes!
That's quite the achievement. Very nice job!
You'll never be able to connect everywhere on your own. You'll have to utilize other people's zip lines once in a while too, and connect yours to theirs, in order to make a full zip line network, that connects everybody.
👊🏼😉 Keep on, keepin' on!
@@KabbalahSherry hey thanks for the answer! Yeah i figured it once I've put much and much more hours into it. In fact i bought also the directors cut and built as much as i could, from roads to structures just to help others and from my experience, the more I've offered to others, the more i received back, in fact this time was much and much easier competing the zipline network. This game is soo good 👍
Thanks and you too keep on keeping on!
Thanks, rebuilt a single road and got o above 25 bridge link
You're welcome and I'm very glad that I could help! Thank you for the comment. Feel free to let me know if there's any other topics that you'd like to see covered.
Also you can like multiple times until the limit shown by white line
Yep, that's what I always did when I appreciated an object.
Another method of getting a lot of likes:
Upgrade and repair other players' structures. Especially if you are linked with them and their structure has a lot of likes. I upgraded a popular bridge from 2 to 3 and got 3000+ likes from it 👍
Very nice tip, thanks for sharing!
So i have question🤔
I build my zipline to conected more places. Some structure are only my. I used plan maps from Website to plan good. And i dont have Likes but see single structure (to some of this i connected my zipline) and have sometimes hundred likes💁
Some randoms?
And this contracts? Its only more spam structures from this players and more likes will be go to me and other ?
Just started this game, 3 hours in. Holy shit. That's all I got.
So is that a good or bad holy shit? 😀
@@DarbsRUs It's pretty overwhelming, even with the helpful tips I'm getting lol. Gonna take awhile to get comfy with this one.
@@mollygrubber It is a very unique game to be sure. Definitely take your time with it. It's more enjoyable at a slower pace anyways. Thanks for taking the time to comment and enjoy the game!
I don’t understand the road building in this game. I keep hearing people talking about how you’re sharing these with other online players and I play in online mode but I have never been able to drive in a road that someone else built I have had to build everything.
Guys, just remember this! When you look to set up a bridge contract, pay attention to these elements: Porter Grade, Bridge Link and Last Login Date. Ignore the likes or whatever other detail. A higher bridge link will make that player's structures appear in your world as well (if you two are close enough, e.g. I'm 91 and I look between 70 and above 91). Porter Grade number close to you, means that the player worked like you, to reach that level. Last login date, means that he's actually working in building/repairing structures that you also operate. If he's active today, then he might repair a road/bridge that you've already built.
My girlfriend's way of getting likes is every time they find a structure bridge, ladder etc with a ton of likes they dismantle it in their world and build it again in the same place, that way structures in useful places gets broadcast to even more players and players that didn't have that bridge in their world now have a chance of finding yours.
Went online after 50 hours and got 70 bridge links after not having 1...cane here to find out what it means
Sorry for my late response, life has been crazy lately. As for your question, did you get the bridge link levels literally as soon as you went online, or was it awhile later?
@@DarbsRUs oh no problem man I just was making fun of myself going online finally missing out on the gameplay. Much better online and I understand the Bridgelinks it's when you deliver other people's shit. Good content bro ima sub right now
Btw don’t try out the sticky gun on porters. They deducted 13,000 likes when I goofed around with them
Ouch! That's a pretty harsh penalty. Thanks for the tip!
@@DarbsRUs well first I think was one then 3000. So I walked away. Then it said 10k after I walked away. So I’m assuming 13k in total
@@danielkramer3450 Yeah, I could see that. Still, good info to know.
My current bridge link is 93, trying to get to 100😅
My Current Porter grade is 460. Your video just got a Like
My bridge link is at 94 & won't budge no matter what I do, it's so frustrating. Does it only increase during the story? I'm playing the Endgame now, which is why I ask. I've done all the stuff he suggested here. And am STILL doing it, in fact. Still giving everybody likes, still using their structures & repairing them, still picking up lost cargo & returning it for them, etc. What more can I do I wonder?? 🤔 smh
im a cat! meow.
So, if you build roads offline, and then decided to go online, would that still give you likes?
Absolutely! Structures, roads, signs, etc. That you build offline will be eligible for other players to use and like, the next time you go online. Thanks for the comment!
@@DarbsRUs hi new PC player here.
how does that work? if u play in offline mode and build a road. if someone in online mode builds the same road. does it just work as if u contributed to building the online road
@@G-G._ If you later decide to play online, then yes, the roads you built would appear in other people's games and could generate likes for you. Think of improvements such as roads, like they're data saved to a cloud server. When you're offline, they affect only you, but as soon as you reconnect to the internet, they get uploaded. From there, if other players need roads that you've built, then there's a chance that they'll be downloaded into their iteration of the world. I hope that helps/makes sense.
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch and ask a question! If you think of any other questions or comments, don't hesitate to add them.
@@DarbsRUs what about clutter? can 'worlds' be ruined by players? or greifed? by adding hundreds of spam objects around. if so do you choose which 'world' you play on? also this is asking for PC which isnt technically released yet.
@@G-G._ To my knowledge, PC will play the same way as PS4. As for your question, no, clutter and griefing won't be a problem. If there's a ladder in a bad location, you can destroy it. It won't actually "destroy" it, but it will remove it from your game world. Also, placed objects decay in real time. Additionally, the game has a massive pool of objects to choose from and it will attempt to give you a varied spread of items in your world. The game also favors heavily liked objects, so if you like well placed objects, then they're more likely to appear not just in your world, but also in other player's worlds. It's a really well thought out system. Oh and one last thing, players of this game don't really tend to be the griefing type anyways. No offense to players of fortnite and games like that, but Death Stranding requires a lot of patience and is very cerebral. It isn't an attractive game for griefers looking for a quick laugh.
Yes it generates likes but they aren’t real likes lol just automatic likes I always look for the manual likes I get from other players and I bridge link with those guys. Due to the fact they went out of there way to give me an actual “real” like and not a fake one
I prefer people who manually give likes too, but relying on those people wouldn't be optimal for leveling your bridge link level. Thank you for taking the time to give me your input!
Darbs R Us thank you for making this video. And let me rephrase I bridge link with the people that have given me over 200 manual likes I literally check my list often and remove people that haven’t logged on in a while and people that are new and have liked my stuff manually. It’s pretty awesome! I love the mechanism but it’s still confusing how it works .
Anna Burgdorf at the beginning of the game the smart thing is to bridge link with the players with the most likes. Their structures are always the best ones in the best locations to help you. I started playing a month ago and have 475 LOL deliveries and a 380 Porter grade. Bridge link at 93. I have more likes and a higher bridge link than players I initially connected with and now those players are giving me a ton of likes for my structures. This game is amazing
Quazar Rocket sane here I have 26 SS rank
Anna Burgdorf are you playing on hard and doing premium deliveries? I didn’t even notice premium deliveries until I was in like chapter 4.😆 i hope they release a DLC when the PC version comes out
DON’T leave vehicles please!!!
I can’t go anywhere without running in to trucks and bikes - it’s really anoying!
I didn't really have that issue when I was playing. I could see people cluttering up the world though.
Have yet to find single player made vehicle. Actually there's a lot less structures out there than I expected to find after game being out for year or so. Almost feels like playing offline except a ladder or two here and there.
Pathetic I played the game and I was very good at bridge links but I was afk for a whole year
>bridge links EXPLAINED
>DOES NOT explain what bridge links are in the first 3 minutes
Do you have some question that went unanswered?
@@DarbsRUs Yep. I was wonderign what they were in the first place.
I found another guy: in short it makes more likely that buildings, cargo, and so on that come from the online are the ones of the people you linked up with, and thus yours will happear more often in their games.
@@Italian_Isaac_Clarke Oh, yeah, that's your personal relationship with each other porter. I was explaining bridge link levels. What you were looking for is called Strand Contracts.
Looking back on it, I guess I should've touched on that topic briefly. In any event, thanks for watching and I'm glad you found what you were looking for.
@@DarbsRUs If you change the title in "bridge links levels explained" then I'd like the video, because that way it'd be accurate.
Work simulator of repetition. Do he same thing 10,00,00000,0000,00 times!
so there's bridges, and bridge links, but bridge links have nothing to do with Bridges, bridges, or Bridget Bridges, or Sam Porter Bridges.... what the f*ck.
