The spirit bomb being the only thing that can destroy earth is so fucking funny, imagine giving Goku your energy and then he just destroys the planet. Edit:i commented before i even got to the part where strong enemies make it harder for the spirit bomb to protect the earth, meaning Freeza could protect earth in his fight against Goku

I know in GT the episode after the Baby fight when everyone is being transported off of the earth because it was going to blow up, Kibito Kai used Instant Transmission (fingers on his forehead and all) to teleport from New Planet Tuffle to earth.
Hey I'm not sure if you covered this but, there's two things in Shin Budokai 2 (probably one too) you don't know about. If you use base form goku with kaioken equipped and you do the Kamehameha and press the same command during it again, he goes kaioken and does extra damage. And also if you perform the spirit bomb with SSJ (SSJ2 AND SSJ3 INCLUDED!) He does the super spirit bomb if you do the command again on launch! (Must be fully charged)
This might get overlooked by Kadazee, but i am pretty sure, that in Budokai 3 if you go SSJ as goku and use the spirit bomb, instead of throwing the giant ball of Ki, he absorbs it like a reference to the Android 13 saga where he took in the energy to defeat the android/cyborg. But the way he does it, if i remember it correctly, reminds me of how he did the Dragon Fist in the movie with Hildegarn. (Might have mispelled the name)

Here's a detail many people may or may not know but the budokai tenkaichi games are games were videl can shoot Ki attacks but they're no where near as strong as everyone else Ki attacks and I think can stunned the opponent for a Brief second when charged

I FINALLY HAVE A SECRET TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL, SINCE I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS RECENTLY!!! So, this has to do with Budokai 3, and a smart attention to detail animation they did with Piccolo. If you use his ultimate, Hellzone Grenade, the animation is different if you're in the air versus on the ground, as when you're in the air, you'll see a small animation of him landing on the ground to fire his ultimate.
Here's one: In Tenkaichi 2, the items you can equip to characters to make them stronger can have effects when you taunt (which activate the same way as BT1). Some of these effects are really useful. As these items are the core of the gameplay in BT2, it gives a real purpose to the taunts.
Don’t pretend like there is at all time for you to taunt in T2. You have to be within close combat range for those effects to work. And there’s no way the opponent won’t respond fast enough

@@TanukiTracks First, you need to equip Z-items to a character. The items that can use taunts are yellow ones. Some of the yellow Z-items have effects such as attack boost, opponent speed debuff, steal ki (btw I believe Cui has this effect by default without Z-items, but I'm not sure), etc after a taunt. The majority of them can be bought at Baba's shop, especially in late game. When equipped, these items activate their effect if you taunt while in close combat. Taunts makes you wide open so the opponent can attack before the ending of the animation. The effects activate ONLY if the animation has been able to be performed entirely.
Also... iirc there's some random PQs (mainly the Breakers tie-in) that have Second Form Cell.. he just.. doesn't exist as a playable character.. despite literally having a full moveset and stuff.. I don't remember said moveset tho
@@BaconNuke Definitely kinda wish Xenoverse 2 or maybe 3 if ever will one day be advanced enough to backtrack to past games and allow Frieza to awoken to all of his forms to final and gold with changed skills and move set which is something modders can do but developers can't is beyond me Or even Goku just changing his hair instead of dividing into 5 different versions
I did say this in a previous video, but there is this one thing in the skill shop from Budokai 2 to where if you were going to buy something, Bulma would be in a different outfit from her adventures in the dragon ball series. Also in another dragon ball game there are a few interactions Android 19 when he’s against another Android, and there’s 2 funny interaction when he’s against Chaotzui and fighting with Chaotzui
Here's one I discovered as a kid but never experimented more with: In BT1, Final Form Cooler's charged ki blast doesn't shoot directly at the opponent but slowly inches forward to them until it contacts. I once beat Cooler in a fight when a charged ki blast was still floating around and hit my character during the post-win dialogue. It got me wondering what could happen if you had a character at 1 HP like Majin Vegeta win the fight but then get hit by the energy blast before the dialogue switch. Might be hard to time but could be interesting. Another minor detail I discovered on my own was in IW when you win a fight with Pikkon, if you use Burning Shoot after the K.O. and time it right, Pikkon wil be on fire during his pose in the win dialogue. Try using these or expanding on my Cooler theory for the next video!
In BT3 if u do "Disk Fusion" in settings and you will use BT2 for it, the game will get the map destroy from previous game. (Also instant transmission doesn't need fingers it's just easier to goku to locate ki w them)

Fun fact: The Instant Transmission name is an original from the English dub where teleportation is called like this. But in the Japanese version it's just called Shunkan Idou, which means Instant Movement. Japanese language doesn't really have a word for teleport and in many other countries' versions of Dragon Ball franchise it's just called Teleport
In Budokai 3 you actually don't need to unequip the Super Saiyan transformations to get the Namek saga spirit bomb. All you have to do is be in Kaioken form and not transform into any higher form before lauching the attack because the Super Spirit Bomb only happens if if you're in base form

Hey I got some info Broly only remembers Baby Crying Goku when he gets punched in the guts at the end of his first movie. He calls him Kakarot because that's what vegeta calls him in Japanese. He attacks goku because he's jealous of his battle power Him being mad at goku for remembering him as a baby was a misconception that carried over dragon ball legends in his ultra intro Also there's a lot of gore stuff we don't have. Frieza's second form impalling attack he used on krillin from tenkaichi 3 Omega shenron, in his dragon ball legends, has his back flip attack in his strike card, which was used for dragon thunder in tenkaichi 3. However, in dragon ball legends, that's all it is, a backflip he hits you with using his strike card Vegeta licks his mouth as he kills nappa. However, in legends, as he kills nappa that animation is removed We also don't have power suppressed Blue Haired SSJ Broly who smiles and licks the blood from his mouth when he gets hit
Around 20:30 Dont forget that you can customize cell in xenoverse 2, just how you can customize a lot of characters, each having fitting skills and super souls. And since cell has a little bit of everyone's genes in him, he gets a massive selection of moves. And yes. Those include but are not limited to, Galick gun, earth splitting galick gun. And super galick gun :)
You've mentioned omega shenron to not be a fusion warrior. However, I've went on dragon ball legends and he does in fact have the fusion warriors character tag. It's pretty clear absorbing all the dragon balls and gaining the powers of every single shadow dragon makes him a fusion warrior. And absorbing 1 dragon ball is like absorbing an entire shadow dragon. Kinda like android 13 absorbing the parts of his fallen comrades to turn into super 13. And he also has the fusion warriors tag in dragon ball legends

Fun little Fact, back then there was a Statement that SS4 is the Same Multiplier as Super Vegito Meaning a Buu Saga Goku going SS4 would be equal to (or little less) Super Vegito Meaning Budokai 3 Goku, since he is the only Buu Arc Goku with SS4

Spirit bomb isn't the only one, great ape vegeta's super galick gun will do it too, if it misses it'll blow up the planet. I found this out when I was streaming the japanese version of the game called sparking neo.

Hey @KaDazee! I was watching some playthrough of BT1 and noticed that when Super Saiyan Trunks (fighting) does the Finish Buster, he speaks in Japanese, even when it’s set to English. It reminded me of when you mentioned that SSJ3 GT Goku had that same issue in BT3 and I wonder if any other characters in BT1, 2, or 3.

I just randomly remembered a fact that I don't think you've covered - in Shin Budokai if you're playing as base Goku and start charging the Spirit Bomb, then the opponent interrupts you with a regular Ki blast, and then if you fully-charge the Spirit Bomb again, Goku will fire 2 Spirit Bombs. It's just a visual bug, the attack still behaves normally. But you can clearly see 2 distinct projectiles under this circumstance. It's been years and years since I've played Shin Budokai so I could be misremembering how you do it, but I think it's correct. I also can't remember if the same bug works with other chargeable "ball" type blasts like Death Ball or Planet Burst
2:09 actually, it seems like specific attacks destroy the planet like the aforementioned spirit bomb as well as cells spirit bomb, frieza(first and final from)s and coolers death ball and cooler(final form and meta)s supernova. Its probably a glitch or specific maps or something because i recall every one being destructive. Friezas 100% death ball attack in bt2 was a rush ultimate and they never do anything other than damage your opponent and look cool. its most likely an oversight or a pain to do that for every planet destroying attack that make contact with the planet's surface and probably why it was changed in the 3rd game.
The fact people dont know if u charge ur ki to the max in ultimate Tenkaichi and press up on the dpad u can active spirit high and it gets rid of the rock paper scissors

One thing im gonna say about Ultimate Tenkaichi, it bar FAR has the best beam effects. Beams not only look destructive but the IMPACT as well. Just look at that Galick Gun!
All of the teleports sharing the name Instant Transmission could be a User Experience thing rather than an oversight. Mechanically since they all are identical it would make sense to give the technique a single name so players at a glance could understand what it does, rather than have to scour a character's movelist for some unique version of a teleport.
I think With the first details, im pretty sure it has a 50% chance of destroying the planet with other characters in BT2. As far as i know, a few characters who have non-rush ultimates can have a slight chance of destroying the planet (so yeah, even Big Bang Kamehameha 100x). Hope you learned these new facts and i salute you from Italia

which honestly violates canon a bit... Super Saiyan is a bit too emotionally unstable by nature to maintain a spirit bomb. when he's tried using both simultaneously, he either has to throw it first (Kid Buu fight) OR it'll get absorbed into his body and hype up his body for a single blow (Super 13 fight)

Another fun fact and I'm sure some people already know this but you know how in BT3 some characters can't fly and they just slowly touch down on the ground? Well if you buy the Flight Z-Item from the shop you can equip it on non-flying characters and they are now able to fly in battle.
In raging blast 1, If you pick SSJ goku's outfit when he was fighting frieza at 100%, he will be more buff. I find this a good detail honestly. (Found this idea from Lonely's Archives)
So regarding the finger thing with instant transmission iirc its been stated that it CAN be used without the fingers on the forehead BUT its made easier doing it with the fingers as some sort of focus and we have even seen goku do it without the fingers a few times, i bring this up because iirc in gt we see kabito kai use the kai kai with the fingers
Oh and even more unique thing about the Spirit Bomb technique that Goku has if you're in Super Saiyan form already he will do the Dragon Fist from the movie so technically that three unique ultimate moves that's in Budokai 3 in one technique capsule.
@12:06 Arale's taunt is actually missing a few props. It's supposed to be her poking poop (sometimes she does it with a stick) and is one of get signature themes. Although without the stick or poop, it looks like she's just poking the air.
I don't know about tenkaick 3 but in tenkaicki 4 mod if you select super buu gotenks and gohan absorbed costume no. 3 ( gogeta and vegito absorbed costume) the scene of absorbing will actually change into gogeta and vegito being absorbed
The weather change, based on the gameplay, is actually based on Raging Blast 2's Raging Soul mode, were the sky turns dark and your character's selected song plays for a bit but, its combined your max power charge.
I don't know if you already mentioned this but here's another trick on Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with an unexpected character: Babidy. Babidy's Ultimate has a base damage but, if you you the grab and then you use the Ultimate, the damage of the Ultimate will increase. The more you use the grab, the more damage you do with the Ultimate. Hope this helps!
Amazing observation, keep doing that please!!There's one thing in BT2 where if you grab your opponent from behind while they still haven't locked on you it will perform the grab but it will throw them backwards 🤨
I feel like for the instantaneous transmission part, they probably didn't want to confuse the players so they just named it that since they function the same way for each. But theres another one called Mind's Eye and it does the same thing unless I could be wrong.
An additional fact about the spirit bomb, if you have 3 points of special, you can activate kaio ken and do dragon rush+finisher+spirit bomb for 2 additional bars of damage (tested on two level 160 characters)
Visually there are two different spirit bombs in Budokai 3 but they technically count as 4. It's because both count as separate attacks when executed using base and Kaio Ken. I found out after the the first time trying to unlock Uub. You have to defeat Kid Buu in story mode with Super Spirit Bomb to achieve this. I failed though because I used Kaio Ken for the Super Spirit Bomb and the game recognized it as its own attack and not a regular Super Spirit Bomb and I didn't unlock Uub.
16:00 they added that in later in the games life cycle it used to not do much damage so when they buffed its damage up they also thought of that gimmick
Dunno if you knew/covered this one already, but in DragonBall Z Supersonic Warriors (a GBA game) Doctor Gero has a charge button that allows him to gather ki by sticking his hands out. His ki charges slower than anyone else, but if anyone attacks him with a ki blast while he's charging, he'll absorb the ki blast and add it to his ki stores.
If I remember correctly, first form Frieza could destroy planets. I remember being blown away by that fact. However, this could also be from a game after Tenkaichi 2.
They could probably bring back the same planet destruction mechanic if they just made it so that it depended on just the power level of the character match ups, for all the ultimate attacks instead of just the Spirit Bomb. If the character is weaker, it will trigger. If they are stronger than your character, it won't. It would also fit the series.
The character customization in Ultimate Tenkaichi as I remember it was just on a whole new level ahead of it's own time in comparison to the Xenoverse games and just doing better overall in that forefront. Truly something I had forgotten after awhile and took for granted but feel many others have done so as well.

Budokai Tenkaichi series tended to remove quirks in the system or unique things as the series went on to make some aspects simpler and to smooth out gameplay. As you just saw Goku's Spirit bomb literally canceled out Raditz's punish mid animation.
5:12 Another detail in DBZ Kakarot, when using the Kaioken, there you also lose a bit of health. I never tried using it till death, but it sure drains a lot when you're a lower level.
As someone who isn't super into dragon ball, it feels like they probably named all of those techniques instant transmission because they serve the same gameplay function as instant transmission and don't have special names themselves.
In Tenkaichi tag team, pressing the charge button twice makes you taunt. I don't know if that applies to other Tenkaichi games but you can still taunt whenever you want in TTT
In dbxv2, there’s a cool, but unique detail about the super more spirit bomb. If you fire it, good luck getting the hit cause it’s nearly impossible. So when it doesn’t hit, it bounces back, like gohan did it! 😮

Technically in Xenoverse 2, Custom Perfect Cell can have the Galick Gun. But his two presets don't.

Here's one I discovered as a kid but never experimented more with:
In BT1, Final Form Cooler's charged ki blast doesn't shoot directly at the opponent but slowly inches forward to them until it contacts.
I once beat Cooler in a fight when a charged ki blast was still floating around and hit my character during the post-win dialogue.
It got me wondering what could happen if you had a character at 1 HP like Majin Vegeta win the fight but then get hit by the energy blast before the dialogue switch. Might be hard to time but could be interesting.
Another minor detail I discovered on my own was in IW when you win a fight with Pikkon, if you use Burning Shoot after the K.O. and time it right, Pikkon wil be on fire during his pose in the win dialogue.

In BT3 if u do "Disk Fusion" in settings and you will use BT2 for it, the game will get the map destroy from previous game. (Also instant transmission doesn't need fingers it's just easier to goku to locate ki w them)

The Instant Transmission name is an original from the English dub where teleportation is called like this.
But in the Japanese version it's just called Shunkan Idou, which means Instant Movement.
Japanese language doesn't really have a word for teleport and in many other countries' versions of Dragon Ball franchise it's just called Teleport
In Budokai 3 you actually don't need to unequip the Super Saiyan transformations to get the Namek saga spirit bomb. All you have to do is be in Kaioken form and not transform into any higher form before lauching the attack because the Super Spirit Bomb only happens if if you're in base form

You've mentioned omega shenron to not be a fusion warrior. However, I've went on dragon ball legends and he does in fact have the fusion warriors character tag. It's pretty clear absorbing all the dragon balls and gaining the powers of every single shadow dragon makes him a fusion warrior. And absorbing 1 dragon ball is like absorbing an entire shadow dragon. Kinda like android 13 absorbing the parts of his fallen comrades to turn into super 13. And he also has the fusion warriors tag in dragon ball legends

Hey @KaDazee! I was watching some playthrough of BT1 and noticed that when Super Saiyan Trunks (fighting) does the Finish Buster, he speaks in Japanese, even when it’s set to English. It reminded me of when you mentioned that SSJ3 GT Goku had that same issue in BT3 and I wonder if any other characters in BT1, 2, or 3.

I just randomly remembered a fact that I don't think you've covered - in Shin Budokai if you're playing as base Goku and start charging the Spirit Bomb, then the opponent interrupts you with a regular Ki blast, and then if you fully-charge the Spirit Bomb again, Goku will fire 2 Spirit Bombs. It's just a visual bug, the attack still behaves normally. But you can clearly see 2 distinct projectiles under this circumstance.
It's been years and years since I've played Shin Budokai so I could be misremembering how you do it, but I think it's correct. I also can't remember if the same bug works with other chargeable "ball" type blasts like Death Ball or Planet Burst
2:09 actually, it seems like specific attacks destroy the planet like the aforementioned spirit bomb as well as cells spirit bomb, frieza(first and final from)s and coolers death ball and cooler(final form and meta)s supernova. Its probably a glitch or specific maps or something because i recall every one being destructive. Friezas 100% death ball attack in bt2 was a rush ultimate and they never do anything other than damage your opponent and look cool. its most likely an oversight or a pain to do that for every planet destroying attack that make contact with the planet's surface and probably why it was changed in the 3rd game.
Final flash does as well. Some attack you'd have to do at a certain angle.

One thing im gonna say about Ultimate Tenkaichi, it bar FAR has the best beam effects. Beams not only look destructive but the IMPACT as well. Just look at that Galick Gun!
All of the teleports sharing the name Instant Transmission could be a User Experience thing rather than an oversight. Mechanically since they all are identical it would make sense to give the technique a single name so players at a glance could understand what it does, rather than have to scour a character's movelist for some unique version of a teleport.

As far as i know, a few characters who have non-rush ultimates can have a slight chance of destroying the planet (so yeah, even Big Bang Kamehameha 100x).

Super Saiyan is a bit too emotionally unstable by nature to maintain a spirit bomb. when he's tried using both simultaneously, he either has to throw it first (Kid Buu fight) OR it'll get absorbed into his body and hype up his body for a single blow (Super 13 fight)

I don't know if you already mentioned this but here's another trick on Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with an unexpected character: Babidy.
Babidy's Ultimate has a base damage but, if you you the grab and then you use the Ultimate, the damage of the Ultimate will increase. The more you use the grab, the more damage you do with the Ultimate. Hope this helps!

I feel like for the instantaneous transmission part, they probably didn't want to confuse the players so they just named it that since they function the same way for each.

With the planet destruction in Tenkaichi 2 I once missed with Frieza's Death Ball in his 1st form and it destroyed Namek
An additional fact about the spirit bomb, if you have 3 points of special, you can activate kaio ken and do dragon rush+finisher+spirit bomb for 2 additional bars of damage (tested on two level 160 characters)
Visually there are two different spirit bombs in Budokai 3 but they technically count as 4. It's because both count as separate attacks when executed using base and Kaio Ken. I found out after the the first time trying to unlock Uub. You have to defeat Kid Buu in story mode with Super Spirit Bomb to achieve this. I failed though because I used Kaio Ken for the Super Spirit Bomb and the game recognized it as its own attack and not a regular Super Spirit Bomb and I didn't unlock Uub.
16:00 they added that in later in the games life cycle it used to not do much damage so when they buffed its damage up they also thought of that gimmick
Dunno if you knew/covered this one already, but in DragonBall Z Supersonic Warriors (a GBA game) Doctor Gero has a charge button that allows him to gather ki by sticking his hands out. His ki charges slower than anyone else, but if anyone attacks him with a ki blast while he's charging, he'll absorb the ki blast and add it to his ki stores.
If I remember correctly, first form Frieza could destroy planets. I remember being blown away by that fact. However, this could also be from a game after Tenkaichi 2.
They could probably bring back the same planet destruction mechanic if they just made it so that it depended on just the power level of the character match ups, for all the ultimate attacks instead of just the Spirit Bomb. If the character is weaker, it will trigger. If they are stronger than your character, it won't. It would also fit the series.

The character customization in Ultimate Tenkaichi as I remember it was just on a whole new level ahead of it's own time in comparison to the Xenoverse games and just doing better overall in that forefront.

Budokai Tenkaichi series tended to remove quirks in the system or unique things as the series went on to make some aspects simpler and to smooth out gameplay.
As you just saw Goku's Spirit bomb literally canceled out Raditz's punish mid animation.
Dragon Ball Online also made the toll on the body of Kaio-Ken an actual mechanic, draining you both of hp and energy overtime.
It could also be that they called them all Instant Transmission as a way to easily communicate to more casual fans what these techniques did

As someone who isn't super into dragon ball, it feels like they probably named all of those techniques instant transmission because they serve the same gameplay function as instant transmission and don't have special names themselves.

In dbxv2, there’s a cool, but unique detail about the super more spirit bomb. If you fire it, good luck getting the hit cause it’s nearly impossible. So when it doesn’t hit, it bounces back, like gohan did it! 😮
