People: U2’s hasn’t put out great material since the 90’s Me: Really people. Are you deaf? Much like the evolution of the their music, their music today still represents the spirit of U2 and is still great. And the reality is that the Songs of Innocence album that everyone complained about because it was put on their playlist is a great album.
U2 is not faultless, they are not driven by pop songs always, although they do intentionally try to make a few of those. But more than anything, they are not stuck with what has worked before, and that pisses off some of their fans from that era. Many albums feel as if they are from some other band, or even from some other genre. After the 80s, many fans left U2 with the gawd-awful Achtung. The fans they kept, and the many more millions they gained from that, will not agree of course. Then there was the Pop album, and everybody hated it pretty much; except for those fans that went crazy for it....me being one of them. Then you have more and more of the same kind of changes...leading to incredible experiences like Moment of Surrender and others like RBWolves etc.. What a pleasure it has been to share my era with this band almost as I have grown from their first album Boy...when they performed on the Snyder show here in the US right before the 80s.
It is vital to have a support system for your life all of us need friends and family if they aren’t there now you will find them in the future unless your behaviour has alienated them totally
My God, that crowd is DEAD!!!!! What the hell is wrong with them? When I saw U2 play this song in London last year they absolutely rocked the house down and got the crowd pumped with this song! #RaisedByWolves #StrongerThanFear 💪🏻
Not all cultures are the same remember especially when attending gigs. U2 themselves have said that South American fans are far my passionate during live shows and they also said that their Japanese audiences are calm but still loud. We’re all different 😊 one thing I hate though is the amount of phones in use during gigs, just watch and listen with your own eyes and ears, put the phones away and enjoy the music!!!
I am French, and I follow U2 since I am 13... I am 53 now... I was in Paris during this concert, it was after the Bataclan attack... People was sad... i was in the stands, and the atmosphère was very good... We danced, we sang, it was one of my best concert, after the 360... :)
I don’t think Peter Bono has a clue as to the meaning of this intensely worded statement that is engendered in the lyrics raised by wolves he has probably never gone through emotions that the writers have where they feared for their own safety.All he seems to want to do engender public sympathy for a broken love affair when people are going through far tougher situations than his he should move on very few people have never been dumped
