This was the first time Noel had performed live since the Manchester bombing, and Don't Look Back In Anger had become the kinda anthem of defiance. So when he didn't perform it as part of his opening act I wondered if maybe he had decided to drop it as he didn't want to perform it again live until he was back in Manchester. But to do it this way was perfect, and made for a perfect way to end the night.

Gracious would have been going backstage and letting Noel take center stage - not leering from 3 feet away, drinking water and otherwise being a distraction. I spent the entire song expecting Bono to take a verse. It's called showmanship.

Leave the stage, it's 'People paid good money to see you so stay your ass out there/Bono's ego is so big he can't stand to play second fiddle'. Stay out there and sing and it is 'Asshole couldn't let Noel have his moment'. Stand and watch and it is this crap. Can't please perfection.
U2 are legends as is Noel one, which I'm going to see them on the 22 July in Croke park (can't wait) I'm a huge fan of Noel.s I went to see him three time in Dublin from the first solo gig with the HFB in the Olympia theatre fucking amazing that was. Noel just looked out of sorts on stage with the boys, maybe he still can't believe he going on tour with the best live show ever bar none (pop tour 1997 landsdowne Road and 360 tour Croke part 2009 I was lucky to be at both) can't wait for the next one

Oasis is an icon, an icon of music, and if ur gonna fight over liam and noel, ur fighting over what makes up that icon. Noel and Liam make up oasis, and i love both equally. Yes, liam made mistakes and noel couldnt handle it. but at the end of the day can we stop fighting over one of the greatest bands that existed and truly be MADFERIT instead?

I don’t actually think we should argue whether Liam or Noel should sing ffs, always the same story. We all know how Noel sings it and we all love it. But I believe we should also welcome other versions as well. Music is for everyone. And as Noel quoted - songs are meant to be fucking felt - and we must welcome the feelings we get from em, no matter who’s gonna sing. Everyone has they’re own way of doing things that we might or might not identify with, and only by welcoming things we can access to its inner beauty. Innit

I went on 9th july concert, but missed Noel on stage as i was late waiting for a friend to come. The regret lingers still.
