I was surprised to get a special Title for this. I got to this guy last night and thought it was a cool fight, so decided to try again and see if I could beat him without getting hit just for my own entertainment (I do really enjoy boss fights that feel like a duel rather than slaying a big monster). The Title was worth a large amount of Reputation points too.
In Nioh, Titles are like mini-achievements that give points which can be spent on very tiny stat bonuses. I haven't really looked at the list of them because there's just so many - actually, in general, there's just so many of most things in this game...
My thoughts on Nioh so far: Its not as good a combat system as Dragon's Dogma, and maybe just a hair behind Bloodborne. In addition to no jumping or climbing/grabbing/throwing enemies, there's a surprising lack of "cancels" in this game. You can't even smoothly transition from your light attack combo to your heavy attack combo - there's a long delay after each light attack where the only attack you can perform is the next part of the light attack combo (or special "combo finisher" skills you can buy). This severely limits the ability to mix-and-match and create free-form combos like you could in Dragon's Dogma. Even Bloodborne was a bit better about allowing you to mix up attacks (and Bloodborne also had a much better parry system I have to say, Nioh's is hardly worth bothering with).
There's also just WAY too much stuff in this game. Its frankly ridiculous how much loot you get, and all the other stuff like the titles and skills and various bonuses and such. I know some people dig that but I find it really drags the experience down to have to spend so much time managing your inventory and such rather than slaying enemies and learning the patterns of bosses.
That said, I'm still enjoying the game, particularly the boss fights. And definite extra kudos to any game that actually acknowledges and rewards doing extra challenges like trying to beat a boss without getting hit, and without being too in-your-face about it.

hey rubi, glad to see some NIOH from you, I adore this game, like a LOT, since I grew up with TECMO games like Ninja gaiden, this is such bless for me, look for my very recent No damage vid I posted for all bosses, is not completed yet but I want to do a no damage solo on all bosses series, the epic combat of this game truly inspires those type of challenge runs for me

I got this by using the spear cheese strat. I try to do it again with the katana parry but he's not "user friendly" with his iai spam when I do that LOL.

Oh, sorry it wasn't clear but that was the last video in that series! I died at the end of it so the challenge was over. In Speed Run mode it doesn't save so once you are dead its just Game Over and you are kicked back to the title screen and all your progress is gone. The whole idea was to see how far I could get without dying. The only way you can continue playing after you die in Speed Run mode is by using a Wakestone, which wasn't allowed by the rules of the challenge (no using items).
But I do have some extra post-challenge footage I can put up as a bonus video, just for more closure.
