God of War (2018): Göndul valkyrie fight done too early

- A viewer asked about this game so figured I'd post something from it, as I'm sure pretty much every other gaming-related UA-cam channel has by now :).
I felt like I did this fight improperly equipped, since almost every attack she had was an instant kill including the "quicktime event" stomp which would kill me before I even got the prompt to break out of it in most cases. Note how I almost died here purely from residual damage from the fire, let alone a direct attack (if one of those fireballs hit me squarely it was instant death)!
I went straight to this area as soon as it unlocked, and just getting up here took hours... Was fun to learn her patterns though!
I'm never going to be great at this game due to its controls and camera style (not being able to change your facing without using the right stick really throws me off) and I've found plenty of other things to dislike about it that aren't really touched on in the rave reviews, but it certainly has high production values, tons of content, great characters, and lots of little impressive details. I'd give it a solid 8 - I'm enjoying it but not enough to want to play it again on the hardest difficulty or anything, so far anyway (currently playing on the "Give me a Challenge" difficulty most of the time).

What's your opinion on the game so far ?
Worthwhile use of my gaming time, but not something I'd play more than once. I'd give it a solid 8/10. The controls are lacking IMHO and the difficulty balancing for the harder modes was not done well, and it can get repetitive. There is also a distinct lack of real boss fights, which is very odd for a God of War game. The production values and content is great though so it is certainly worth at least one playthrough I think. I pretty much agree with everything Yahtzee said in his Zero Punctuation review of it.
