    We had a old machine on the farm that didn't have any torque and just wouldn't perform with air leaking when trying to pop the bead. I did the two quarter hack and threw away the crappy gasket and broken valves. Installed quarters ,no gasket, and the thing works like NEW! It was a Hunter TC3250. Thanks ever so much for this video. GREAT JOB!

      Wish I saw this a month ago, I just bought the rubber valves for 130 us dollars. Do you have any fix for hunter gsp9700 tire ballancer that's not booting up. Thank you.

    I will try this at my shop tomorrow. I have the same tire machine and I have been through the air motor and replaced all of the foot valves along with quick disconnects and air lines to stop the air leaks. I have been pulling my hair out as to why the machine operates so slowly and doesn't have the bead breaking power it used to. This looks promising. Thank you for your video.

      Paul Roy I sure hope you figure your issue out. Would be nice if the Hunter reps would actually offer parts advice to those who own the older models. Ever time I call them they quote $2500 to fix it and suggest I buy a $30k unit lol

      @@tiresmoke69 When you installed the quarters did you remove the o-rings that are in the plastic part of the valve?

      Paul Roy Yes. They were broken into pieces anyway

    Should've used Canadian quarters. Same size 20% discount.

    Is oil supposed to drain out when you remove the air valve?

    My wheel clamps are weak and won’t hold tight when trying to remove tire, they do hold tight when spinning tire on though. If I clamp rim down I can lift up on wheel and it slips right off

    i have the same machine but the clamp wont open or close it it still spins and all the got any idea why ?

    • @tiresmoke69
      @tiresmoke69  4 роки тому

      Juan Rodriguez Sounds like my same problem in this video. If it’s not, then either not enough air pressure (should be 120psi or more), or foot pedal valves need cleaning or replaced.

      How do you get the pad with the spring off of the main shaft? I have heated it ,used pipe wrench and a regular wrench with a cheater bar but it Will Not Move,

      Adam Knab not sure man, mine just comes off by hand (assume you are talking about the spring pad in middle of rosebud)

      Juan, my 3250 has the same problem. It will spin no problem and bead breaker works fine. The clamp wont move. The brake on the unit is not functioning. The foot pedal valves are fine, and air is going to the right place with proper psi. Let me know if you took yours apart.

      @@JB-yh3xr if you have already done the fix in the video and still not working, call your local Hunter tire machine rep. So this was the failure of a three port quick exhaust valve? The diaphragm on my air powered Coats rim clamp failed. Coats wants over $400 for a valve. A similar valve can be had for about $40 but the ports are in the wrong spots. It’s easily fixed with about $20 in fittings. Or Some fast exhaust valve manufacturers offer just the Diaphragm, and they are less than $10. I believe Coats valves are made by Deltrol. I was able to use the diaphragm out of a Deltrol EV20A2 to fix my Coats 70xAH-4, but had to buy a whole valve

      @@tiresmoke69 glad to hear, If you wach that video you can hear the noise that the motor makes. That knocking sound are the firts sign of the motor check valves are leaking. The leaking causes the pistons that have to be idle to stray a bit under pressure and thus the rollers in those postons are hitting the motor case.

    • @tiresmoke69
      @tiresmoke69  4 роки тому

      @@mindiddlydindy Yes sir that is probably the case. We have since bought a TC3500 that is not as worn out but the 3200 is still ticking along just fine for now.

      @@tiresmoke69 great to have a back up. When the first one starts acting up again its probably going to need new rotor,piston, rollers and air distributor. Depending on if you have the 7 piston style motor or 14 piston style motor is going to determine parts availability. Equipment City trys to keep most of main culprits that need to be replaced in stock

      @@tiresmoke69try to get the air that goes into the machine as dry as possible. The air motor has oil in it and moist air will give sludge. Lubrication will go down the drain and will kill the motor. A oil change is adviced.
