I spent 25 years “camping” with the US Army. I retired 24 years ago from the army and swore I would never go back to the woods and tents. However I discovered your videos a few weeks ago and the views and situations you portray sure makes me want to return, where it be a cold camp, hot camp, or wild. Thanks for the work you do. I know it is easy to set up and take down camp, let alone trekking with the necessary equipment. Then on top of that you take the hours to edit the video. I appreciate you work. Thank you !
Hey mate, I rarely comment...BUT...I'd like you to know that I sincerely enjoy ALL your videos. I discovered ya' through Simon, A Bloke in The Woods. This was a "cool" video...in more ways than one!! 🙂 THANKS for all the vids this year & I pray to see more during 2023. I hope ya' have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Best regards from Yucatan Mexico, Ben
I remember many years ago being in a hut in the forest with snow 2m deep around the hut with over hanging trees covered in snow. I couldn't wait to get the fire going. When the fire was roaring the stillness of the forest was cancelled, all night, as the fire roared, the hot thermals melted the snow on the overhanging branches, and it came crashing down on to the roof. It kept me awake all-night, no respite. That's what was happening to you. I now take a long length of Cord with me, and when it's snowing, I tie a small log to the cord throw it over the branches and shake the hell out of them, it works well. Enjoyed the video ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😀😀
I am addicted to your channel. I've had many a sleepless nights cured by watching your videos while I lie down in bed and relax to the sounds. I can't thank you enough for the time, effort end dedication you put into your youtube channel!
I've only camped once in a wood during a snowstorm and never again. This was in Derbyshire in the 90s, some mates and I thought it fun to set up a makeshift camp with about a foot of snow on the ground. We used some tarpaulin to cover the three of us, set up against a big rock with a fire keeping us warm. During the night, the wind picked up and all the ice from the trees started to drop, which shredded the tarp and took out the fire. We ended up walking home in a blizzard at 3am in the morning. My parents weren't too impressed being woken but hey.
Andy, I have been watching for years. I always love your camps and especially your meals. You could have a pop-up bushcraft dinner and charge rich people a thousand moneys for an evening. Keep the great content coming. :)
Hello Andy, thanks for a nice winter camp video I also spent over 20 years in British Army remember packing up my frozen Basher many times Grrrrrr. I have since moved to warmer climes now do the odd wild camp on a nice warm secluded beach here in Thailand . Merry Christmas Buddy. Dave B. Thailand.
I do enjoy your snow videos, its such a novelty to Australian's such as myself. Thanks for the videos, I get to experience camping through you. Btw, the higher the resolution you are able to offer the better in my book, it just adds that extra bit of realism when in 4k.
I gave 21 years to the U.S. Army, that was 27 years ago. I don't know if I could do that anymore. But, it looked like you were having fun. Another good one, as you put them up I watch.
I never did camping in my life, but watching these makes me want to do it so badly haha, Unfortunately, my family is not very "camping" minded... Anyway's enjoyed this very much. The snow makes it so much better xD
Great video! My first thought when Mark was pouring the tea was payback for the ginger shot in the Halloween camping video! Much respect for you guys camping in the snow.
I’ve recently discovered your videos and really enjoy them. I’m an old man now and mostly home bound with cancer, so it’s a blessing to escape for a while. Thank you so much!
I decided to trawl through your videos and came to this one. I know we're at the end of September but I am in bed watching this but had to put a cardigan on,I could feel the pain of the cold lol. ❤
I remember those cold snowy night & days, in the Army, as long as it was warm & wet, didn’t care what we drank, those ration packs kept us going, & yes, those wonder mash, did the trick. Great video as always
Thanks Andy, another great video. My boys and myself wonder if you are going to do an Xmas dinner this year. Xmas starts for us when you cook a Xmas dish over the fire. Have a great Xmas from Devon. Regards John, Rich, Mike and Phil ☃️🎅🏻🎄
I’m always surprised at the exposed ground in the tent. Love to see how you camp though. For me I prefer the tents that keep you off the ground like the truck tents. Thanks for sharing!! Sara in Seattle ❤
Awesome video as always. I do like watching you demo the gear and cook out in the wild. I did not envy Mark packing up and hiking out in the dark probably. I do wonder when there is snow and wet on the ground why you don't use a ground cloth.
Hi Andy, have just watched your recent video,so jealous of you with having snow, its my favourite season as you don't have to contend with hay-fever,keep up the good work can't wait for the next one.
Nice atmosphere. Wonderful weather. Last weekend we did something similar with my friends. Our film is on Jednośladowa Akcja Biwakowa. It's Polish version so, kind regards from Poland 👍
I like the tent, like a big lavvu, Marc has a great spot down there I camped with him and Allan AKA Jim Bob this year and had a great time... Merry Christmas Andy ATB Chris.
Finally got our first legit snow in NE Japan...and it's going to do so nearly everyday for the next 4 months. It's fun the first month, but then I want it gone. Enjoy that dusting you got!
I have found, when dealing with wet/icy wood, it works well to put it on top perpendicular to the stove. You can stack more, and it still gets plenty dry. Cheers.
Nice video Andy & Mark 👍. Surprised you's didn't get fire up wood stoves earlier, be4 heading in2 the tents 🤔. Just makes climbing in2 the sleep bag more SNUGGY .
Nice one Andy. Had the rock fortress out yesterday, thinking to myself, I bet Andy will be in his. Close I guess still a Onetigris. 🤭. It was bloody cold though. Still happy to come and join you to do some work in your permission and have a camp out too! Atb. Paul.

Thank you buddy, that means a lot. Happy to provide some vicarious loving :)
I think it is different when you want to camp versus having ro set up camp.
Welcome to the club my brother from across the pond, I spent 12 years serving in the British Army (Grenadier Guards)
How many innocent people did you send to god? How does it feel to work for the most corrupt people on the planet?

Great suggestion!!
Silly me. I'd have just used whichever of my children's toys most annoyed me and thrown it at the branches. 😂😂😂
@@TallBlondeSassythat’s what my dad did with me,when I messed up lol
The first few words of this sentence make me believe you were doing dirty things in the woods with a minor.
I love the relieving noises you brits make when u taste hot tea. Lol ahhhhh its actually kind of comforting.
And when we have something sweet to eat
We all say well I shouldn’t really and only a small piece
Did you get your username from the Ricky Gervais Show by any chance? 😂 Clive Owen
My yorkshire dad made the same noise , often followed by saying 'nectar'
Even though it's an old video, I enjoyed watching it. Thank you.

Thanks Heather, much appreciated
Where I'm from (Queensland, Australia) my region doesn't frost let alone get snow so I love to see snow videos to see what I'm missing out on
Just waiting for my hot tent stove to arrive.
Thank you for your inspiration.
Very typical SE England winter weather. At least for maybe a week or two. The rest of winter is usually warmer.
Great tent, good to see the lavvu too, good banter between you two, cheers.

Can't beat snow camp 👍😉 Even better in the RBM tent luxury warmth 🤣😂🤣😂 need a bigger groundsheet too Andy 👍
I can't resist telling you that it's 6 degrees with gale force winds here in Michigan. Not a great day for camping. Great video Andy!
Used to live there don't miss that wind cutting you right in half. Takes hours to get that warmth back, then you gotta go shovel your driveway.
That little stove really is quite amazing! Thanks for the video. :)
Andy, I am always glad for another video. Thank You for bringing us along.
love the hot tent vids mate keep them coming
Nothing like a video with snow ❄️ 👌
cheers Paul :)
