fun fact, antlers aren't actually horns, antlers are made of bone that grow and fall off once a year, horns however are made out of the same stuff as hair and nails and grow slowly over a lifetime. great diy!!
I wish this video had been out two years ago when I spent months making a pair of paper mache deer antlers for Halloween and then last minute realised they were too heavy to wear XD
Thanks for making your videos; makes me feel a little less strange for liking and making all the things I do. I love faeries and it's nice to see another person who really gets the Fae/others.
just a question. I my hair is shaved on the sides of my head and if I want it to look as natural as possible, could I cut the Alice-band around the horns and then glue a hair come underneath?
i think if your antlers are light enough, you could directly stick them onto small hair combs, but your idea of cutting the Alice band could offer more support, just give it a try and see how that works out!
Great job with this one! I was also wondering how your 3rd Outsider book was coming along. I only mention it because you haven't said anything about it in a while.
Thease look fantastic! I swear all of your horn tutorials are epic and so usefull. Would horns or antlers be held up if I were to stick the. To crocodile clips or would you suggest to just go for an Alice band?
omg i JUST made antlers last night! different process but i started out trying to use paper clay at first and it was just too soft and mushy to hold shape properly, and it all kept breaking away.
just a quick question Klaire (u think I spelled that wrong oopsie) but could you do a tutorial on Diclonius horns? it's a mutant from the anime Elfen Lied
And maybe much bigger they would not be as comfortable. You eventually could try to stick a thick wood stick inside, that you can remove later, so they would be "empty" in the inside and it would weight less :) Hove you enjoy making them :D ;)
In Spanish, when your partner cheats on you, we say "me puso el cuerno" something that roughly means "he/she put antlers on my head" so, it won't be a very good idea using a pair of those if you travel to a Spanish speaking land with your partener xD they're super cute and realistic, though
In my country we sayd "he/she puts antelrs on you" when someone had cheated on you, so, even if I wanted to make this to a costume party I would have to deal with the jokes :(

These are beautiful! I would love a pair of these to wear day-to-day, they look strangely natural!
Thank you for using my song 'Time Will Tell' :)

the air dry clay meant for little children works great if you still need ideas : P
Model Magic by Crayola is very good as well!! You can get small packs of it for a little over 6 dollars
These videos are so relaxing and interesting
i don't need antlers. i have never wanted antlers. why am i watching this
really cool DIY though ! good job
Make an element series. Fire, water, solid, ect. It would be awesome!!!
Solid? Don't you mean fire ice air water and lightning?
+Elizabeth O'Shea or maybe water fire earth air
Whoops.. I meant earth. Lol
These are my favorite of all the horns/antlers you've made so far!!

You are such an amazing artist I'm glad I found you years ago!!
Love this one! Will help me take my cosplay to the next level
You have inspired me!! I plan to do this but in my own style antlers!
So very creative :)
these horns remind me of Mituna/Sollux Captor horns
(any homestucks out there?)
Keelin hf MEEEEEEEE
Amazing job! You're so talented :)
I'm amazed!
i feel like the same general idea could be used to make ears as well
Beautiful!!!
Wouaw this is very creative
just a question.

These are incredible! I'm always so intrigued and want to try, but I know it'll look like a 3 year old's art project when I do it. 😂 one day maybe.

oooooohh I really liked this:D

cool! i'm gonna make it!

Cool. Can you it for different breeds of deers?
thank you!
this is sooooo prettty
what happened to your hand?
First I missed with a hammer and then I missed with a knife. I know. I have skills.
dont hurt yourself! Artists need to protect their hands! QAQ
Would you say that the paper clay would be light enough to possibly apply to skin with the right adhesive?
just a quick question Klaire (u think I spelled that wrong oopsie) but could you do a tutorial on Diclonius horns? it's a mutant from the anime Elfen Lied
*i
There's other tutorials for those I think, from other people. Or at least there used to be. But I'd love to see her take on them!
This reminds me of sugar were going down swinging by fall out boy!
Hello, can you please tell us the brand of the clay?? Thanks :) *love your videos :)
Has she ever made anything like a demon or succubus tail on any of her channels I need one for Halloween thank you :3
lol What is it about you and horns, Klaire? Just wonder why you love horns so much.
let me tell you about...
SOLLUX.
i fUCKING KNEW THERE WOULD BE HOMESTUCKS GOD DAMN IT
actually antlers are smooth because they have these kind of silky short hairs on them almost like fur
cool i wish i can do that.😊
So this is called paper clay... so I'm assuming these won't be very water resistant, right?
cool! xxx
hi
can you do a diy unicorn horn plz?
Is clay sold as air dry clay the same thing as paper clay? Would that work for this?
Yeah but it'll be heavier on your head
Would it be lighter than polymer clay though? I've tried polymer clay before and they were fairly heavy.
Did you ACTUALLY scratch your knuckle? xD
I didn't scratch it. I managed to clip it while I was cutting up veggies for dinner.
aouch! >< I hope you recover soon. And at least it's not as crazy as the one you did in your tutorial ;) KlairedelysArt
where an you get paper clay?
ayyy lance amazon props and nice pic
Can you make bigger ones with this method?
Yes, but it will obviously take longer to dry and need stronger attatchment to the head band.
And maybe much bigger they would not be as comfortable. You eventually could try to stick a thick wood stick inside, that you can remove later, so they would be "empty" in the inside and it would weight less :) Hove you enjoy making them :D ;)
They may need internal support as well if they're much bigger.

Not gonna lie, I was getting a bit more antsy everytime the words "antlers" and "horns" were used interchangeably. They aren't the same thing. XD
