I ask myself why I’m so addicted to your videos??!! I am a 51 year old grandmother who is obsessed over the tiny living. Plan to live tiny when I retire so I can follow my daughter and her family wherever they go;) Hoping my hubby comes too lol He isn’t aware of my extreme obsession with the nomad/Gypsy lifestyle YET! He just knows I watch tons of tiny house videos.
While we won’t be traveling tiny quite like you guys i watch because I find your videos calming, informing and uplifting.
Elsa, You are showing me how to live authentically, with purpose and to get in touch with my body and mind. I spent most of my adult life surviving it seems and now I am finally able to breathe and look to myself for my purpose and true being. 🙏

I'm interested in a grocery shopping vlog. I'm intrigued with how you guys live well without a fridge while off grid. I struggle with meal ideas and I really like the way you guys eat.

You guys really inspire me. I have a 1980 scamp that my grandparents recently gifted to me. It's been in my family for some time now, but mostly just sat in some land in Northern Minnesota. We used to use it as a cabin, living in it as our weekend getaway spot. Now that it's mine, I can't wait to make some amazing changes to it. Of all the videos I've watched, you guys have inspired me the most. Thank you for these videos, and maybe some day we will meet.

You two have some of the best content on UA-cam!!! My wife and I have been binge watching your videos after searching for videos on small RV to tow behind our Subaru Forester. Very inspiring and fun to watch. Now the search for a nice Scamp continues!!!

Took a very similar trip in 2016 near this area. Those sandy roads are no joke- but nothing beats being isolated from other campers. That's why we had to leave Zion. I was crushed but we ended up in a great spot with no one else for miles.

Our daughter and her family live in Hatch, Utah which is about 30 minutes from Bryce. It gets very busy in the spring and summer, fall wasn't too bad, but it's so beautiful everywhere around you, you really can't blame people for coming.

I live in a 13ft Casita in Moab right now! Avoid Moab this next week because it is Jeep Week, and the week after is the car show-- the two biggest weekends in Moab... Definitely do come back, though, it's a really great area with so much to do! There's some great camping up in La Sal, too--with trees!

I can't comprehend the scale of that environment - it truly looks like you're on another planet. I've only ever seen such martian landscapes on a much smaller scale at the Tongariro craters in central New Zealand, but I'm heading to the US later this year and seeing this area and I'm so excited to get blown away. Thank you for sharing your little adventures with us 😍

Fun video.. Left me wanting more!!
I have lived in Northern Utah two years now.. We always camp off grid.. The Unita Mountains is one of my favorite locations. But the highest elevations are probably still snow covered until Mid May.
You will need a case of bug repellent. Free camping and campgrounds above Kamas..
You will need a boost for your phone. I'm on total wireless I'm lucky if I get one bar.
I've never seen a Bear up there but the signs are up reminding people.. Beautiful meadows and views.. Reports of Bigfoot activities but he won't bother you.

if you go back to moab look to the east of the la sal mountain range. there is a ton of open land out there with a 14 day camping limit. no one usually camps there because it is kind of far away from town... but it's close enough for me.

Very nice vid....it's great you point out one of the fastest growing issues with camping in general: too many campers, not enough space. With record numbers of rv's being sold that means it might become more and more difficult to find premium spots...boondocking or otherwise. But my name ain't Debbie Downer so keep on truckin'...there's always a way to freedom. :-)

Hey you guys! I live in Utah and it’s definitely a tricky place to find camping. You kind of have to know the hidden spots because the “tourist destinations” are always packed.
Next time you’re in the desert check out the San Rafael Swell. It’s better than Moab, beautiful rock formations! It’s like the Grand Canyon on a slightly smaller scale. Free off grid camping and the area is huge!

As Tim the Enchanter says "I tried to warn you!!!" about spring break and Moab. :) Anyway, happy you guys are discovering Mars. I always tell people who haven't been the canyonlands that it's the closest you'll ever get to going to Mars. I love to go to Moab in February. The rocks and snow together are awesome and you have everything to yourself. All of Southern Utah is really busy in April, the busiest month of the year by far. But, BLM sites are there, if you look. I wish I could share some of my Utah photography with you guys. Hit me up for URLs. Have fun!!!!

Your making of this video is very timely. I am going to road tripping out through Colorado and Utah in about 6 weeks doing some backpacking and boondocking in my car. Friends warned me that areas around Moab and Zion would be crazy busy, so I scooped out some reservations and spots in advance, including an Airbnb camp spot on private land near the Needles of Canyonlands. Very glad I did the planning in advance. For this portion after watching your experience. I’m glad you were still able to find a great spot. If you have any recommendations for free spots in Colorado, let me know. Enjoy your trip!

Okay seriously though about keeping your gas full in Utah. On my solo road trip through I blew out a tire, and in all the excitement didn't notice my tank below half and passing the last gas for 100 miles sign. At this point It's zero service, not a lot of other cars, and my gas light is on. I pulled up to that gas station finally 25 miles with the gas light on and losing a few years off my life from stress haha.

Yea, it was sagging pretty hard. I think it has more to do with all the weight in the back of the car, more than hitch weight. We take all the heavy stuff out of the scamp and put it in the car when we move, because the axle on the scamp doesn't absorb much. We would like to replace the axle with something that could take bumps. Any ideas? The torsional axles only do so much.

@@24barron I know you can buy shock kits for casitas, not sure if those work for scamps or not. If you guys are on the original axle, with the age of the scamp it is probably about time to get it replaced. www.perfectcasita.com/cashabkit.html

Looks like someone adapted this kit to a scamp, but they had to get a different top mount machined. justfinding.blogspot.com/2014/09/shocking.html?m=0
