I bought a 2 gallon bug sprayer. I swapped out the wand attachment for a kitchen sink sprayer. Fill it with water and put it in the sun. 🌞 It's so much easier to fill and can be used for your kitchen sink!

We had a gallery for 28 years, ties you down ALOT! You meet lots of great people but it is a burn out after awhile. Elsa, work with Barron on a set of hand signals for backing the trailer. After 35 years we still have plenty to talk about while driving. Protein, fat and fiber is our rule for a good breakfast. After several bad experiences in campgrounds we too only look for dispersed camps. Too many people still use generators or would rather listen to loud "canned music" than the sounds of nature and quiet. Happy trails.

Could you please make a video about finding campsites? I've tried using the apps you suggested, but I think all of the combined hacks you've learned along the way and real-time troubleshooting would make for a great video. Recently spent 5hrs driving around a county and sitting in hot parking lots trying to find spots for free, reclusive tent sites, in vain. No bueno.

I couldn't agree more with what you said about wanting to create without running a business. I have my degree in fine arts and I absolutely love doing illustrations and taking portrait commissions, but the business side is definitely something I'm not very good at nor do I find enjoyable. My dream would be to be able to make part of my income from my art but I don't know how to do that without the business side of things.

Great channel, moving those solar panels around is so important to pick up the most amps. I have 2 of those, mine are flexible lightweight built on pvc pipe stands, 3rd one on it's way.
My wife & I (Ann) built a 6x12 DIY RV Cargo Trailer. Little hard to move my trailer with both hands but I can do it. People always ask, how do you get along in that small space? Well, building this together we are always on a journey, not a destination, , Staying creative.Always something to do, journey is NEVER over, moving solar panels, filling water, dumping wastefinding the right spot, ect. Just stayed at our first off grid Sno-park air strip close to Lake Wenatchee State park in Washington State. While others paid, ours was Free! Lots to see in the NW. It's a 100 acre snowmobile park, great for dry camping in the summer. We showed up 11:30 at night, 2 people were their, next day, 100 acres all to ourself. So peaceful. We found out we need more power to run stuff. Upgrading our solar system right now to dry camp better. Were doing Cle Elum sno- park next and goats creek sno-park close to a town called Winthrop. My wife Ann is a graphic designer, laptop has to come next time. A little work on the road. Happy trails!

For a trailer that small I love how much natural light you get with those windows. Back in our camping days whenever we would upgrade our trailer we had to make sure there were lots of windows.....

  • @krystielee74
    @krystielee74 5 років тому +1

I feel your pain backing up a small trailer. My 14ft t@b is challenging. The method I find successful is putting your hands at the bottom of the steering wheel and moving your hands the direction that you want the back of the trailer to go. That, plus small adjustments. I'm sure you know that, just sharing for other readers. Another great video, thank you for sharing!

You should post your recipes. The breakfast egg thing looked healthy and good. I haven't seen any healthy cookbooks for camping outdoors. Great way to explore the world, at least our part of it. I often wonder why the solo travelers don't travel in very small caravans of one or two because it could be lonely. But you two have each other. Great life for young couples who want to travel before they settle down and have kids. Dog is very cute.

Put a receiver hitch on the front bumper and you can put that trailer where-ever you want it on a dime even, very easy to steer from the front rather than the rear. And you can also use the front mounted receiver to store and carry other items, bike racks, etc....or one of those cool Hammock racks that mount onto the receiver hitch mount...

I loved my 13 foot Scamp and it always was noticed. Sometimes we would be parked by a $200,000 RV and people would come by to see our home ignoring the big ticket in the next spot. I used to try to keep it neat for my visitors but I wasn’t always successful. We eventually needed a bigger camper , but our Scamp is with us in a photo on the wall.

I am obessed with yalls video. I so want to live the life you are living. Im 43 with two kids and have spent my life working 2, sometimes 3 jobs. Up until a couple years ago i thought material things made the world go round. Then i watched my dad die painful of cancer and watched all his earthly possessions be given away to strangers, sold, or thrown away. My whole outlook on life has changed. I want to see the US...be blessed with nature...not work my life away for material things. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am learning so much!!!!

Look at you! You’re a natural little sun gremlin! Maybe hire an agent to help you with the business/marketing aspect.. not as profitable but would allow you to focus on the inventory. Love tagging along with you guys! It’s so much fun seeing where you guys land and the new adventures!
Delaney and her husband are very nice, seems like you made new friends.. that’s part of the envy I have. I’m an extremely friendly extrovert, not annoying, just like meeting people and making new friends.

Don't ever ever feel guilty for selling your art. You deserve to make $ to take care of yourself and your lil family...I'm self employed as well and I hate how people make me feel guilty for needing to make a living.

Got to get a scamp so I can take it all apart and rebuild it. Just hope my Volvo can pull the load. I was online looking for water pumps compatible for my car, didnt find any so that means might have to buy a an older Cherokee. Was trying to get the proper one before it does damage to my engine( cracked cylinder heads ) and before it damages my pistons. Thx for another adventure vid you guys. Good day!!

My first few moves took a long time and was stressful. Now it takes me about as long to do as making a breakfast and a shower.

you are right about the smaller trailers being hard to back up. I have a 10 foot single axle cargo trailer and a 22 foot dual axle flatbed and the 22 footer is like absolute cake to maneuver even though its twice as long, the 10 footer is a pain in the ass and I pull THAT one every day for work, still have to pull forward and adjust at least once almost every time I back it in even after like 5 years of owning it haha. the 22 footer double axle I backed into a 90 degree space with cars and all kinds of shit in my way in one swoop the very first time I pulled it.

You make great videos. I like how you invite us into your lives- eating dinner etc- so much more intimate than most the travel videos out there. Can you share what sites you use to find places to camp? I know about Campendium. Will be getting a trailer and traveling around the west next year

I was SO excited to hear the earrings were up that I had to pause the video to go buy a pair and come back to finish your wonderful video. Love them all and love my new “Brenda” earrings! 🤩 loved the description too! Nothing like a mother’s love.💕 my mom was an angel 😇 and I’ll wear them with knowing and comfort that they honor that special love and support that mothers give unconditionally ☺️

I have a 30ft 5th wheel. But hit hard times
So it went to storage. But landed tenting it. I love camping.STILL! But we had to deal with the every 14 days! However I have learned where the best places are on the Central Coast of California. Now I live in the high desert in CA. I am right below Big Bear! A lot of camping spots that are free or cheap.

I used to have a hard time backing a trailer/camper. Then my dad taught me to put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel. Whichever direction you want the trailer to go, you turn the steering wheel in that direction, then, when the trailer pointing in the correct direction, you "follow" it with the vehicle. Since then, backing is not so hard. The length should not be a problem, width can be. If the trailer is more narrow than the vehicle towing it, it can be hard to see where it is pointing.

I love the teton valley with Driggs, Victor, etc. I was recently there so it was fun to see part of your adventure. THEN I loved seeing Montana. My second home. Enjoy it, be sure to check out the bitterroot valley (lake como), the Missoula Area and the Mission Mountains by Flathead lake. Cheers!
