He didn't really look for offense just trying to survive. Could be hurt, but then again so are most wrestlers at this point.

The idea that the ref gave Braeden Davis at 125 such extended reaction time, effectively denying Kilkeary a legit takedown, but then gave Beau Bartlett at 141 a very quick takedown with absolutely zero reaction time allowed for Mendez, is the height of absurdity. You could see the embarrassment on the faces of the Sanderson brothers.

It was just a bad call and if i were Davis I would quickly wake up and realize that no one is safe at 125. 141 is less egregious but the refs definitely awarded a takedown too soon to Bartlett in OT. I still think he would have got it if the sequence were to continue but, thats neither here nor their at this point

Big10 only showed 4 matches. But 125 and 141 scrambles, I almost scrambled myself outa my chair. I know I took down my imaginary opponent. I wasn't there, up close and personal, but 125 was maybe a little iffy. I noticed throughout 1st period Davis was wrestling really cautiously. And starrocci, I'm sorry, I'm just gonna say it, I was disappointed. I just really Really REALLY would like to see him ride people out. It's not a good game plan to bank on getting a takedown. One good scramble and he might be standing there holding the bag.
i like jesse mendez but i thought beau was going to put on a clinic so hats off to jesse for hanging with him, and i love iowa but not a fan of real woods being up by 1 point and then laying off of the gas peddle, i think beau is going to beat him pretty easy, and he lost to a unranked wrestler so its not looking good
