That’s a terrible call. RBY did not spike his headgear to be disrespectful to his opponent or opposing team. It was the excitement that got to him for beating a high ranked opponent.

The spiked headgear call is bs in my opinion. Yeah he was celebrating, he just had a huge upset while wrestling injured. It wasn't showing off or anything. IDK I just think its a dumb rule
I'm a Michigan fan and want Micic to win this year but man... RBY is fun to watch
Micic WILL win the 133 lb. Class this year. He's on a ROLL!! I'm an Iowa fan, but I like Michigan too..(A Tennessean!!) But damn, he had Pletcher all OVER the mat last week, and nearly tech'ed him...if he didn't. He had him turked several times during their match, and seriously, just abused Pletcher. He's been in alot of International competition, and he's improved considerably since last year. RBY won't even get close, wait and see. Micic is on another level this year!!
Jeff Darnell If the ref was in the right place on the mat, I think he would've caught the extra back points and Micic would've gotten the tech. I really hope Micic can win it, but I'm a little worried with Fix. Desanto has improved a lot, but his style hasn't changed much and Micic eats those guys up. Philippi and Suriano I'm not worried about. Let's Go Blue!!
@@leannabad3839 Yeah, I just feel Stefan is on a mission, and WILL win the Wolverines a Natty at 133lbs. HE'S improved unbelievably, and it's just a shame he'll be Wrestling for Serbia instead of the USA in International competition. I read that somewhere as of late. I thought he'd lived here long enough to consider himself a USA Citizen...but I suppose not.

Lol he can clearly take Desanto. As impressive as Desanto has been he can still be beat when opponent applies proper strategy. Just ask Austin Gomez. RBY had Gomez on the ropes before he got pinned. No one in the top 10 in this weight is the alpha when compared to their competition.
@@countrymorgan2942 DeSanto isn't even in the same league as Mayweather, one is in the discussion of greatest ever and the other is a young kid who struggles to control his emotions.....
I was a big fan of RBY since I first saw him compete this season. I thought he was an exciting wrestler and that he might have something to say come March. But, when it comes down to this match. Pletcher took all the shots and RBY basically took half shots to look active. If he wrestles like this against any other top 10 competition; i don't think he'll be as lucky as he was today. He has to step his game up and I hope he does.
OKandEZ I saw it as RBY was trying to go for counter shots but Pletcher just never put himself in too bad a position to where RBY could take advantage of it. Different game plan, but I think it can work against other top tier wrestlers. Could be totally wrong, but we'll see in March
@@leannabad3839 I can see your point. I've just seen him be extremely dynamic, in previous matches, with tons of offense. I guess I wasn't too fond of him changing up his wrestling style. But yeah, 133 is definitely loaded this year. It should be exciting. I wish him the best.

Leann Abad TV thank you. Somebody who knows what they are talking about, he obviously was trying to score but pletcher was so much stronger here he couldn’t do much he was trying to use his speed to his advantage. He’s a smart wrestler.

RBY actually had more offensive moves than Pletcher did that match. RBY also stayed in middle of mat.

Two TOTALLY different styles....
I prefer folkstyle adds more versatility more strategy it builds more character try getting rode hard doing every thing you can to try and not get pinned neutral wrestling just not the same as eating cross face after cross face and getting cranked very unnaturally endure that pain what's the worst happening on your feet you get thrown also doesn't always show the better wrestler get caught in a leg lace trap arm gut match is over I have to like freestyle only because we are forced to internationally
So much for the Intermat rankings. Who ever thought Pletcher was better than RBY obviously does not know wrestling. But these announcers are obviously OSU Marks.
