brendon leary ok folks I stand corrected colter is a legend.. I can't stop listening to him out in the car and at home lol.. but you all know what I mean he'll go down in history carrying on a old traditional way of playing.. #HaveAgoodOlDay
Been listening to him for a few years now. Funny how his talking and singing voice are so different. Keep up the awsome work...can't wait to see you live.
His song writing is how I feel like I’m moving through life I’m analyzing the stuff around me and seeing what’s happening keeping my head down and doing my best to keep going with the times.
Everyone overlooks David Allan Coe. Get past the hits and the infamous X rated album and you've got one of the best songwriters of that time. Each songwriter is unique and has their signature style. Townes, Guy, John, all of them are legends. Also can't forget Tom Waits
One of a few pioneers of a new genre of American music with great depth and artistry. I see it happening. They will be commonly known names in a few years. 💜
I’ve been “learning” to play Colter original songs. Unique playing/picking, that leaves me in the dust. Challenge accepted Mr. Wall. You Sir are the OG Original Player.
Tu es du Québec? Brisbois c'est Quebéquois, non? J'aimerais pouvoir parler avec quelqu'un du pays. j'aimerais y voyager, en connaitre les chouettes coins.
Townes,Ramblin Jack Dylan . And Colter....add some of Vincent Neil Emerson....wow. all good looking fellas and beyond excellence as ballad artist. Hope to see him some day. Hah! I grew up on that vynl by M. Robbins. One of my favorite singers when 13. I would like to hear him sing Devil Woman, El Paso....just to name a couple. I listen to his voice and I am carried away....on the breeze across prairies and over mountain ranges. Gorgeous. Alaska.

Gunfighter ballads is one of my favorites as well. My dad loved him and I I get older I understand more and more why. So many memories of of me n him driven in his old turquoise n white Ford f100. Miss that tough bastard. 😂 he smoked pall mall unfiltered and everyone thought he he was smokin joints. 😂. He would have loved your art Colter. I saw you live in Chattanooga to and it was undoubtedly the best concert I’ve ever experienced.. I wish you all the best my friend. If you get a chance check out my original playlist on my channel. I wrote out five original for u to record. Hell you can record or cover them for free. I just want to hear a great playin the music I wrote n played from my heart. All the the best brother. Love ya!!
Lol that's funny, my first and only record I stole from my dad and that was Marty Robbins gunfighter ballads. Still sitting in my record player today. If you're not familiar with that record it has probably the greatest song ever written on it..........."El Paso"

Awesome set, most of them I'd never heard before. Onlyest thing I would like to know is what was up with the squeaky door or whatever? Was it on ment to be there or doesn't anyone have some oil or soap or even a little spit? I got annoyed and it made it tough to watch to the end!
dang. this MR. Wall is som'thing . I think he's made his way right and is gunna be a good'n. Like a major pro. Maybe an award or two I think. Good on ya Colter.
Lol I can hear the John hurt influence I love it tho but yea he does a fee that sound similar like this song and another that is a arrangement of make me a pallet on your floor
Where the fuck is the part "Dont be picking fight with no menonites" kinda gay you cut that out Colter Just sayin. was the best part...nothin against those strong workin folk
I'd like a version of this without the damn extra recording noise. You just woke up my wife with the super loud claps. Man... Ah! Claps again! Fudge nuggets! Damnit. I specifically request Colton's music be at the same volume or greater than the claps. Claps are way loud. Can't thumbs down, but can't carelessly play while my babies are sleeping (they like the music and ask if we can go fishing all the time).
I wonder if I sound Canadian....I live right across the border. Yes, you are a fucking goof. That's like someone hearing me and telling me I'm not an American because I don't have a Georgian accent lol you should get out more kid!
Actually, regardless of his speaking voice... a person's singing voice is different. That's why Mel Tillis was able to sing w/o his stutter. And, if you listen to singers from other Nations... you'll find that unless they consciously make an effort to keep the "accent" their singing voice sounds very much American English. 😉
Just heard of this guy yesterday, he's playing 20 miles from my hometown in December. Tickets bought! This guy is awesome!
How was the show bud?
@@sitnstill4now best concert I've been to, up there with Tyler Childers and Merle Haggard.
Epic...was so good!
I have to see him live! That voice and guitar is incredible. Brewery sessions colter wall are amazing.

You can tell he feels the emotions in every performance especially the first..
Best songwriter since Townes van zandt.
Only if you haven't heard of Tyler Childers
No disrespect towards Townes, he's a legend. But John Prine is the best American songwriter. Colter is amazing too, crazy he's not even 25 years old.
@@jmillerdesign you mean Gram Parsons
@@jmillerdesign Not really a fan of John Prine, to each his own though!

It’s not a new genre. Mostly a forgotten genre to many. Which is sad. This is real country. Not the shit played on the radio today

Where does that voice come from?
I can just never wrap my head around the mismatched natural speaking voice and performance voice. Manufactured country is city.
