I used a 75 inch Festool rail on my ACS table. I also made the rail stops in the MDF table 1 inch deeper on each side so the Festool rail will calibrate to the 20mm dog holes like the ACS track does. works amazing.
Thank You! Have had a Makita track saw for years and not going to buy another just to incorporate a table. Could not find a simple answer even after contacting Kreg. I seems after watching your video that the Makita will work with it.
Very timely. I ordered the table (with the stand.. $500) a few months ago, haven't yet used it. I had a Makita track saw, but decided to get the Kreg one and waiting on it now. Something about just having the whole system appeals to me. Plan on making a studio desk, some cabinets and drawers.. should do the job.
Hi! Does the Makita line up with the Kreg track that you bought? I got a Makita but only the 55 track. Might have to get the Kreg if it works with the Makita saw.
You don't understand the scales because you don't have it calibrated yet. You can't cut material shorter than you track is wide without flipping them. You also need to calibrate both the left and right scales so your cuts are still at 90⁰ with the fence.
Thank you so much for showing how you installed a non-Kreg rail. I just got this table, but didn’t get the Kreg rails since I already have a Makita track saw and the PowerTec rails. I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out how to make the rails fit the table. It looks like I need to sacrifice one of my longer PowerTec rails and cut 10” off the end! I guess it will be worth it to be able to make the 90 degree repeated cuts. What did you use to cut your rails?
I didnt. I sized the base so the top kind of wedges on top of it. Its not really attached. I figured if I had to attach the top I would use L brackets but I have not needed to.
I bought the Kreg Adaptive portable cutting system but just found out that the Makita guide does not fit. Would you know if the Kreg 62-inch Guide Track fits a Makita plunge saw?
Can you provide an estimate as to how much the tabletop with frame & track all assemble weigh in lbs? i was thinking about hanging it on my wall when not in use.
The table top with frame and accessories weighs about 60 lbs. Thats without legs ore the saw of course. If you wanted to hang this up when not in use I recommend the legs kreg makes for this table which fold up.
Kreg went cheap when they built all the cheap plastic parts. They normally use higher quality interjection plastic to sell nearly indestructible products.
I’m looking to do a setup very similar to this. How long of a track did you need? I have read that 55” tracks won’t fit this table. This seems like a great alternative to Festools extremely expensive MFT tables.
I believe I address the track length in the video. You can combine tracks to make them as long as the kreg tracks which I think are 65". I really dont recommend this setup to be honest. Its just more hassle than its worth for me and I ended up pulling the tracks off the table. If the track flipped out of the way so you can use the table like the MFT I would probably reconsider my position.
@@carolinaworkshop7091 I was glad to find your video using a non-kreg track and track saw. So you are saying you don’t recommend cutting the non-kreg track? Would you recommend buying the kreg track instead? Thanks
Not sure which clamps you're talking about but the top and bottom t track is the standard size ive seen on all guide rails. I use the WEN-36053C clamps with this track if that helps.

Nice video. I ordered the complete Kreg ACS system last week. Looking forward to using it.

Hi. Did it finally work ?

I think I used a miter saw but I cant remember. Aluminium cuts very easily so anything will work
Hello great video. What model number power tec rails fit the wen track saw thanks
I think they are "POWERTEC 71387"
I wonder if you took some C glue and bonded that fence together squarely. Wouldn't that help?
Thanks for taking the time to do the video!

Thanks. That is what I needed. Do you know about how heavy it is? Like really light, some mass to it, heavy, beastly?
@@jimaspinii7579 Its a 3/4 inch sheet of MDF so about that weight. Around 50 lbs
I bought the Kreg Adaptive portable cutting system but just found out that the Makita guide does not fit. Would you know if the Kreg 62-inch Guide Track fits a Makita plunge saw?
Sorry I don't know. I would think you could find a way to fit the makita track.
Are the dog holes 20 mm or 3/4 inch?

Hi do you have problem with Wen tracksaw blade boIt? The hex key didn't fit, keeps slipping, and I can't change blade. No way I can remove that bolt.
No, I have not had a problem. I changed the blade once without issue.
I would return it or contact WEN.

Camera angle from ... well, not the butt side... so we can see what's happening a little better. You're pretty much blocking everything.
thumbs up regardless! A for effort.
