    Great video. As one who recently purchased the ACS, Kreg has anticipated and provided excellent tips for pretty much all of the key questions I have had - except for one really basic one: namely how to safely and easily unfold the ACS table legs for setup. Unless I'm missing something, it is quite challenging to accomplish this by yourself. Oddly, Kreg provides a self-stick instruction decal that can be fastened to the table that illustrates how to fold up the table for storage. But they provide no instructions anywhere - not even in the manual - for how best to unfold it. Sounds silly, but I would bet that anyone who owns the ACS system knows exactly what I'm talking about.

      Thanks for your feedback, I've shared it with our product manager to consider for future improvements to the ACS.

    This seems so much safer than a table saw, will be buying one.

    This is way cheaper than the festool system and for someone who does this as a hobby I think it’s an excellent choice ..... just ordered mine a few weeks ago

    I don't own this ACS, but it is way safer than cutting 4x8 sheets on a table saw, which I never do. Like a lot of people, I lay some 2x4's or 2x6's on my driveway and cut the panel on top of those with a circular saw. Even that does not seem especially safe to me. I am kneeling down, "walking" on my knees on the panel I am cutting. My circular saw does not collect the dust, the cord can snag on a corner the panel, etc. I have a nice left-hand Milwaukee circular saw, even though I am right handed. I like being able to see the cut line without looking over the motor. Most battery powered circular saws are built this way. I generally use a chalk line and my cut is poor. I could do better with an 8 foot straight board and clamps, but I never seem to get around to that. I would probably not be able to get the guide board exactly where I wanted it. Kreg tools are expensive, but I am so impressed with their pocket joinery system which I do own.

    with the tape measures, is there enough space to use doubled sided tape to ensure they stay in place longterm?

    I would like to use this to rip 8' long studs. Is it possible to do this with the ACS? Would I need to join 2 tables?

    I can not find in the manual or on any video which way you have to turn the screws on the saw base to square the blade to the base. Can you provide any help?

    Can I take the track off the table and put it back on with security that it will line back up with the registered kerf mark I created in the table when setting it up?

    • @KregToolCompany
      @KregToolCompany  2 роки тому +1

      The Kreg ACS Guide Track and Table are aligned using the versa stops and the two track-alignment holes in the bench top. This ensures that the initial kerf cut is made in the correct location and the track can be easily removed and replaced on the table in the same location.

    Can the guide track be extended to cut a full 8ft sheet?

    • @KregToolCompany
      @KregToolCompany  5 років тому

      The 62" Guide Track works with the Kreg® Adaptive Cutting System Plunge Saw, and can be used alone, or mounted to the Project Table. For off-table cutting, two tracks can be combined together for 124" of total length that provides 112" of off-table cutting capacity.

    How do you avoid cutting into the project table?

    • @KregToolCompany
      @KregToolCompany  2 роки тому

      When cutting on the table, you will make an initial kerf cut into the table. All additional cuts will be made in this same kerf line. The saw will also have a depth gauge to ensure you are not cutting through the table top.

    • @williamsimonson6431
      @williamsimonson6431 2 роки тому

      @@KregToolCompany Thank you. It took me a while to grasp that but once I set up the ACS I understood. I'll pay close attention to the depth gauge. I suspect that more than one person has cut through the table.

    I love Kreg tools and I own few of them , but damn this set is expensive, you can buy a dewalt track saw with 2 tracks 55 inch and 102 inch , I wish kreg would take my festoon mft system for exchange
