Thanks Tim for sharing this information and love the channel. Called these guys and did the exact same thing you told us to and got a great discount! Cancelled my Rebel order with my local dealer here in North Carolina and gonna head out to Lake Charles and dive my RHO back whenever its ready for delivery. Should be a good time!

I'm with you, Tim, absolutely! Order and produce the truck, and most people will buy them. Those that don't, no worries - the dealers need inventory, anyways. Dealers don't need deposits to order vehicles they otherwise would have ordered anyways, let alone non-refundable deposits. Unless you order some crazy and undesirable colors that they might have a hard time selling to somebody else, I don't see the need. I have ordered plenty of GM and Ford products with ZERO deposit. Ordered a new C8 Corvette in mid 2022 when they were hard to get, zero deposit and I even picked it up at the Museum. I have ordered a half dozen Super Duty's and my Wife's Navigator with Ford's X-Plan pricing, with no deposits, and no problems.
I like the RHO a lot, as well. When the accel times came out and it was like 2/10's slower in the quarter mile than a TRX with what most certainly be better fuel economy, (and $20k+ less in fines to EPA,) I was sold. I like my MY23 Rebel HD with the Cummins right now too much to trade it, but who knows in a year or two once I start seeing these more and more on the dealer's lot's.

I went through the same thing. I called them after seeing your first video to place my order, but I couldn’t until this morning when they finally opened the order system again. I keep hearing the price is too high for a lot of people, but you also have to realize that it’s not for everyone. For those of us who have a business, it’s great for tax purposes since it weighs over six thousand pounds.

I really like the dash on your 3.0 GM. Best looking dash layout to date.
But that RAM RHO is very nice. Hands down 10x better than F150 dash layout
And the interior (Seats etc) in the RHO is extremely cool looking.
But I must say I think the screen layout on the GM is better looking as far as fitting in with the dash layout than a big vertical screen.
Finalized my order with the same dealership yesterday. Bank was closed had to wait until this morning to send the deposit. Everything is done. Too bad about the 2k onboard power. They made that option available for like 3 hours and then removed it. Now just going to sit back and wait. Exciting times. Glad I found you video. Keep the information flowing. Cheers

@jesusquezada5722 Since it's going to be at least 4 to 6 months, no one will give you a rate right now. The good thing about these guys is they will let you work with your own bank, pay with cash, or work with them. They really don't care, and it does not affect the discount.

The deposit is not a manufacturer thing…. It’s a dealer thing. I ordered my RHO no money down. I had to follow up to make sure they included the 2K power. It’s a feature that not all sales people even know it’s an add on beyond the utility bed option that includes the 400w. Order is in, no idea how the max power affects leadtime. This rig has it all over anything else in the market. I cancelled a Tundra Limited Edition that did require $500 down. I have a RAM 2020 Limited, has been solid…. Time to upgrade, so the waiting begins.
Complete Chaos at Stellantis...none of the Limited Tungsten orders getting filled....they seem to only be producing lower end trucks....that will lead to a bad Q2 EPS...

As for the deposit, I believe it’s a dealer specific issue. This way they have locked you in and when the truck comes and if you don’t take it, which apparently happens often, they can play with your money and you have to bitch until you get it back (ie, they sell the vehicle you ordered) The local Chevy dealer here pretty much admitted to that last year when I was looking for a Silverado.
I agree that it is dealer specific when it comes to a deposit. I had to put down $500 for my custom ordered F150 Powerboost. I don't see the issue with this, keeps people honest when placing an order.
I think you backed yourself into a vehicle that will have a lot of interest and should provide an interesting ownership experience! Can’t wait!
As for the cash deposit required: How many "orders" did Ford get for the Lightning when it was first announced and how many of those turned into actual sales? Requiring an actual legit deposit helps them plan better because they know the interest is legitimate, not just a "Gee I like it, I'll throw my name in the hat" kind of thing.
I ordered a'25 Rebel in hydro blue with $500 down with some nice options ($80,000) and the GT package. When the dealer tried to order it, it came up restricted. They said cause the parts arent available for the GT package yet and it might take awhile for them to be in stock at the factory.
Just bought a 2024 Laramie 4×4 5.7 liter from Mark Dodge. Picking it up on Monday. $16k off of MSRP.
For anyone cross shopping a base Raptor, this RHO seems like it edges out the Raptor in most categories. Appearance is subjective. It would be nice for RAM to improve their bed step. I think GMC still has the best tailgate step. Ford dealers are not willing to move on the MSRP of the base Raptor, so this is essentially 10 grand cheaper with arguably more value. That will sway a lot of people toward the RHO
RHO also makes the Lego Ford look like trash. It's not even close. As if Ford people weren't mad enough. I'm starting to feel very sorry for them.
The exhaust will sound like a lawnmower. But all the extra it’s going to be mad fun.

I'm pretty interested to see how this truck goes as far as sales go. It looks cool and will probably be fairly capable but I don't see much of a use case for most people. The TRX had the supercharged V8 cool factor plus the link to the hellcat. This really doesn't. Don't get too excited for the exhaust note just take it for what it is and you will be happy.
I already have a VIN number. Hoping for a September delivery! 🤞

I think when he says only 2025 RHO is low for 69k, because compare to its competition- the ford f150 raptor is about 10k more with less features.
So, it’s more affordable than the raptor. 😊 he’s not saying that it’s cheapest truck on market 😂🤣.
I don’t understand why the thousand dollars down as a problem you’ve gotta pay it sooner or later why does it matter? It seems to me it would help cut back on people ordering more cars than they intend to buy and then just going and picking up the first one that arrives.
When I ordered my RAM in 2019 I had to put down $500, when I ordered my ZR2 HD this year all the Chevy dealers here required $1k down payment. Maybe its region-dependent?

Could have been a specific dealer thing but Chevy made me give them $500 when I ordered my 2023 Colorado ZR2. Did it the day the order banks opened last year too.
Nice truck Tim, excited to see some videos on it in the future. I am not a fan of these massive tablet screens in new vehicles now.
1k deposit is pretty common. GM I know does it. It is refundable if you don't buy it when it comes in.

@@Pickuptrucktalk yeah I figured. I’ve got the powerboost now but that ramcharger for my use case I think is going to as close to perfect as I can get. And if my local Michigan dealer can’t do a good deal looks like I might be another order for Mark dodge. 😁
I had to put $1000 down when I ordered my vehicle and it wasn’t at either of the manufacturers you mentioned.
Most dealerships are telling me the 2Kw on board power system is discontinued for the foreseeable future across all models. hopefully that doesn't cause any delay for your order.
Is there an option to get a lower manufacturing apr financing? Or do you have to finance with your own bank when you buy from this particular dealer?
My prediction is you’ll be wishing for your 2023 Silverado diesel by the end of the year with a $70 grand Ram. But I wish you the best with that purchase.
Especially now that gm trucks have big discounts, but agree with hammer. Better question is will Stellantice survive.
@@thegonz7833 yea, from what I remember when I was shopping a year ago, Ram had the highest list price of the models I was looking (1500's) at with the lowest quality and reliability. Yea will Stellantice survive. Remember they are part of the Fiat empire who have had many quality and financial issues over the decades.
Ordered a 24 chevy traverse they required a 1,000 deposit as well.
How do you build the order from the website? I don’t see the build and price option for the RHO
If you need a truck by year's end, you should really look into a secondary option just in case your delivery doesn't make it in time. You never know with these first generation vehicles.

Ah Ram offering a compelling starting price only to charge $10k for the Level 1 equipment group which likely includes stuff that the average person wants. What are the other option packages outside of your order?
I can see your price point in the context of other similar vehicles. However, what does it include in place of the regular RAM? Then, the question is: Are those variances worth that kind of $$$? Many times, I've concluded they are not (it's nice, but when you put the level effort needed to get the money....).
Considering my Ram 1500 Big Horn order was about the same price as this RHO and the RHO has a LOT more features, I think it makes sense in this case.
Hopefully your new truck will be delivered with an engine 🤔. I had to put a $500 deposit down on a Tundra. After waiting 6 1/2 months I cancelled and the dealership at first refused to return my deposit until I turned up the heat.

Here’s my comment for all the people complaining about prices. If you have not been getting a raise that keeps up with inflation for the last three years then you have been taking a pay cut. Also, if you’re in one of those jobs where they offer you a percentage as a raise. I.e “you get a 3% raise this year based on your performance” know this… In 2023, the average rate of inflation was 4.1%.
In 2022, the average rate of inflation was 8.0%.
In 2021, the average rate of inflation was 4.7%. If you didn’t receive at least 16.8% in raises in 3 years you have been taking a pay cut. And this is why some people can’t afford these things and why some people can. if my employer said you get a 4% raise in 2022 I would ask for 12%. 4% for my work ethic and 8% to stay with inflation. This has to be your thought process from here on out. I hope this helps someone out there.

I think the down payment crap is dealer not manufacture. I’ve ordered a 24’ Tacoma they wanted 2K down. 23’ Highlander 1K down. I also was considering ordering a Ranger Raptor they wanted 2K down. I’ve also heard of dealerships making the down payment non-refundable unless the manufacturer can’t build your unit in X model year.
I was told by Ram public relations it is the Ram corporate decision.
For Ford Bronco you had to put $100 down. 🤣🍻
Just get s low mileage trx for 69 grand not some twin turbo V6 engine because more stuff to break on the twin turbo V6 engine
